Italy | 15 January 2024I had an amazing experience with Barbour & their support team. They excellently solved a very complex situation involving a defected jacket with class and generosity. Also, their products are iconic and high quality – I love Barbour!

United Kingdom | 12 January 2024I had an issue with some wellingtons & contacted customer services & Im so lucky I got to deal with Alisha as 5 stars are not enough! Bahamas | 11 January 2024I have been a Barbour customer for many years but not once have I needed to contact their customer service - until now. Whilst Barbour were not obliged to help I thought it worth a try and my contact was with a lady called Lynne. Lynne responded to my initial email almost immediately. She was professional but nicely personal and very helpful. Mr. Barbour, you did yourself a favour by employing this lady. Thanks Lynne.

United Kingdom | 10 January 2024I purchase a Barbour Steve Mcqueen Merchant jacket.I am usually a size 44(xl) but was aware this jacket is made small so I ordered a 46(2xl).On receipt the fit was ideal other than the sleeve length was so long they covered my whole hand.I am 5’11” and my arms are of a normal length.Returned the jacket Barbour and 7cm removed from the sleeves at cost of £36.Last week I purchased the Barbour/Baracuta proton jacket, somewhat similar to the Merchant jacket, again ordered the xxl, which on arrival fitted my body fine other than sleeves again covered my whole hand.Back to Barbour to have 6cm removed from sleeve length.I have no clue why the sleeves are of an abnormal length and would only be suitable for a gorilla type figure.I submit my review for the info.of Barbour and for other prospective buyers of these jackets.

United States | 09 January 2024Sent my loved and cherished properly made old Barbour for a rewax. A coat that they previously made here in the UK. I waited and waited for it to be returned as the chill hit this winter. What was returned was someone else's, cheaper, and now Barbour's Chinese made rewaxed jacket which has a very strong B.O. smell. I am disgusted. Since I informed them a week ago I am yet to receive any updates on the whereabouts of my cherished jacket. They make broken promise after broken promise. I am forced to chase things up with them persistently. VERY disappointed with what they have become. I will now stick to Drizabone (from Webury), and Canada Goose jackets (from their website). Had way better service and execution with these brands. Meanwhile, if you can send a message out to my jacket: Wherever you are, you're gone, but you're not forgotten. Rest in peace, my friend.

United Kingdom | 08 January 2024Both mine and my husbands wellies have slits in the soles after a few wears. Usually love the quality of Barbour products but honestly, give these wellies a miss. Look great but not fit for purpose, Amazon wellies fair better at £16 a pop!

United Kingdom | 07 January 2024Buyer Beware Some Barbour shops are not owned by Barbour direct. Check your returns policy. Some shops will only allow returns to the same place of purchase. So if you buy gifts for someone note they may only return some gifts to the original shop were purchased They do not tell you this at point of sale.

United Kingdom | 05 January 2024Great customer service from Edward. After a couple of splits developed in my wellington boots I submitted pictures and was then asked to return the boots prepaid to Barbour. My replacements were dispatched as soon as they were in stock. Edward kept me in the loop with all developments. An all-round excellent customer service experience!

United Kingdom | 03 January 2024Bought some Barbour Storm Wellingtons & after a couple of weeks I noticed a hissing sound from the heel on one boot..last night I had a good look & the heel tread has split open a couple cm’s. I have emailed Barbour for a replacement but now I’m having second thoughts as I have just noticed the soles on both boots are peeling away from the upper on both heals. There is a leak somewhere on the right foot & water is getting in..these boots are x4 weeks old..I have given up on Hunters as they started to fall away after 6 weeks..I read the reviews on the Barbour boots elsewhere before I purchased but here I see the same refs that they are now made in China & splitting etc..Does anyone actually test their products after they ship manufacturing to China..The Hunter name was trashed after they did this & now Barbour seem to be following suit

United Kingdom | 01 January 2024Don’t buy Barbour anymore , the Queen stop buying it,when she was alive. They don’t make good quality clothes anymore.. mass produced Chinese production, low quality! Once it was all made in the UK! For example, their fleeces have nylon sleeves inside as well as many of their jackets… so I ask you Barbour why do you add so much nylon to your products as you know that nylon does not breathe, you end up sweating to death. And we then have to pay you £50 more to get it changed to just regular sleeves without nylon.. yes, your products are become Scam rubbish! no longer the quality you once used to made your reputation is in the dirt. No one loves you anymore.!!!!!

United Kingdom | 29 December 2023So much for being a British company. Christmas clothing made in China. The item wasn't cheap either! It really is a disgrace and disappointment

United Kingdom | 21 December 2023EDIT- So after a number of weeks going back and forth with this "outfit" of an establishment, Helen Scorfield felt that a replacement jacket (for the same product which I was returning and entitled to according to the Goods of Sale act) was as far as she was willing to go. No sense of good will gesture, no empathy. Obviously when Barbour scaled up they forgot where they came from. Their bottom line means more than their customers so please, please, do not buy a single product from this shower. Look at the other reviews, it speaks volumes! Astounded. After merely a year since purchase I EVENTUALLY started using the hand warmer pockets. I didn't even know they were there! Turns out the left pocket's stitching has completely come away. So half the pocket is sealed and the other half leads to the inner lining of the coat. I sent an email in regards to this and was sent a reply containing options to return it for a "service/wax/repair". All options given are chargeable. So I left it and have spent the last 12 weeks or so just living with the pocket in its current state until today. I was walking along the road and one of the poppers just "popped off" leaving the pocket unsealed. Now this is getting silly. Two different faults with my garment in <2 years of wear. Is it me or should a coat costing circa £280 be a bit more substantial than what I have experienced? I have coats I have bought from an entry level retailer, a coat costing £40 back in 2019 and there isn't a single fault with it. Forget that fact they're British, this is a scam as far as I'm concerned. How do you end up spending so much money on a coat only for it to fall to pieces in such a short time, and the manufacturer won't touch it unless I pay? Absolute garbage. Would never buy a Barbour product again, and I will be telling everyone I know about it.

Germany | 20 December 2023While the price point may be higher, the quality and craftsmanship justify the value, making Barbour a go-to choice for those who appreciate timeless, well-made garments.

United Kingdom | 16 December 2023So upset about a recent purchase. I’ve had many Barbour jackets over the past 30+ years. I recently bought a showerproof jacket on their website. I wore it once and spilled peanut oil on the sleeves. I took it to get dry cleaned. When it came back it was the weight / texture of a soft shirt. I wrote Barbour saying how upset I was - it wasn’t a wax jacket but it has a weight and starchiness to it which was removed after dry cleaning. There is no mention of no dry cleaning on the label - they should highlight this when you buy !! Barbour had me purchase some re- proofing liquid from their site which did not work. When I wrote back again asking if they could re - proof from their end they said no and instead offered me a discount code on my next purchase! After this bad customer experience why would I want to buy something else? Such an absolute waste of money!!! I’m not even asking for them to waive charges for the re-proofing - I would pay for it. I just want my showerproof jacket to be showerproof!

Russia | 16 December 2023Alisha, a lady from the support centre, was very helpful with my request: I needed to find out availability of an item in the nearest shops. I was unable to pay by card or order online, hence I needed it somewhere close to me. When I have discovered that the item is present only in a very distant store, Alisha has kindly offered me to ask the convenient shop to order the item for me, so I could pay cash and get the item wherever I desired!

United Kingdom | 13 December 2023Sent my 6 year old wax jacket back for a clean and rewax, it came back looking like new, very impressed with the outcome, price and true to their word on the return date. Would highly recommend.

Grazie

United Kingdom | 12 December 2023A coat I purchased for my daughter’s Christmas gift. Cost £219. First week the button fell off. When I informed them. Was told they would send me a replacement. It turned out they meant a replacement button. Surely shoddy workmanship should be dealt with very very politely efficiently and without delay. Barbour does NOT mean good practice good quality. As one might have expected.

United Kingdom | 06 December 2023I’ve have the most amazing customer service from Barbour. The best I’ve ever experienced. I had a waterproofing issue with a jacket which they replaced, with unbelievable efficiency and courtesy. I’m thrilled with the replacement coat. A quality experience, for sure.
