United States | 15 January 2025I ordered a couple of packages of diced tuna for an appetizer dish I was making for my family that Saturday. The quality was super fresh and it tasted amazing! Everyone gave it 5 stars. I also ordered salmon filet and salmon skin along with some pantry items to meet the minimum for local delivery. It is a little more pricey than going to the supermarket, but I know that I am getting fresh, quality seafood. I am so glad I found Yama Seafood and will order from them again in the future. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to put a label on the box that indicates that it needs to be kept refrigerated. I live in a large apartment building that gets many packages daily and it can take the staff a day to get everything checked in. I had to call my front desk from work to tell them to put the box in the fridge because I wouldn’t be home for at least another 7-8hrs and I didn’t want everything to start defrosting and go bad while sitting on the package room floor.

Two days before New Year I placed an order for Tokujou (AA grade) uni knowing that I might not get it due to the high demands during the holiday season. The morning after I received a call from Nobu San (owner of Yama seafood) telling me they are out of stock but will find me something from Japan market before they close for New Years. The next day he got in touch with his friend in Japan and got the tokujou uni, a quality better than what I had originally ordered. He flew it over the next day and it was delivered on my doorstep on New Year’s Eve. From ordering online to getting the delivery only took TWO DAYS. I am thrilled by Nobu San and his company’s top-notch customer service and its commitment to premium top quality seafood. My sister loved the uni so much so that she can’t have enough of it. And my family was so delighted with the tuna and ikura sushi. Thanks to Yama seafood for providing our family with an exceptional experience. If you are looking for the best of the best quality seafood with an unparalleled phenomenal service, look no further. Yama seafood is ichiban in the industry!!!

United States | 07 January 2025This is an update on a previous review. I had ordered Chu-toro and wasabi, when my package arrived my wasabi was frozen. The Yama seafood team had promptly addressed the issue and sent me a replacement. I would definitely buy from this company again in the future.

My 4 stars instead of 5 was not because of the product but because they begin with the nagging to review starting less than 24 hours after delivery (before I used the items I ordered!), and apparently continue until you review. I received three emails in five days about it. Too much.
