Fletcher Longstaff were excellent from start to finish. Tom Hansen the MD, who dealt with our sale and purchase directly was superb throughout. He always answered the phone within a few rings, answered emails within hours if not sometimes minutes, and was on the case driving things along all the time. If all the other solicitors / conveyancers were as professional and quick as Tom, we would all be moving houses a lot quicker than we are now. Great online Portal called InTouch was an added bonus, showing you exactly where you are in the sale / purchase timeline. Could you find some cheaper than Fletcher Longstaff? - Sure you could, but they won't be anywhere near as good and efficient. The conveyancer is a massively important role when you are moving house as you know, and many leave a lot to be desired, but Fletcher Longstaff truly deserve the 100's of 5 Star reviews they've earned, and I'm glad to add another one. Tom and his colleagues recently completed our fourth property transaction over the course of just under two years (two purchases, and two sales). Buying and selling property often comes with stress and aggravation, but we felt that at all stages FL were doing everything in their power to minimise this. We were kept properly informed, and on a timely basis. Whenever we had a question, it was dealt with promptly. As such, I would have no hesitation in recommending the firm.

After living in Australia for 16 years I decided it was time to sell my property back in the UK. I chose Fletcher Longstaff as I needed a company that could deal with overseas clients and that were also reliable. Their prices aren't the cheapest but it was definitely worth paying more for as the whole experience was painless!! Tom dealt with my sale & was very prompt at replying to any emails I sent him & was very easy to get hold of on his direct line. Most of the stuff I needed to do was online I just had to "wet ink" sign the contract which they sent me & I posted back with no issues. Tom kept me updated at every stage through both emails & updating my online property file which I could access at any time. My property just settled today & there were no hidden/surprise etc charges from them. The whole process from start to finish took 10 weeks (no chain) which I'm very happy with! Thanks Tom!

For both our sale and purchase we dealt with Tom Hansen who is first rate, the opposite of your average stuffy solicitor in the sense that he is super responsive, ensures cover when OOO, and is obviously an expert in his domain. Even though we had at least 4 intended purchases fall through, I always felt like Tom remained absolutely objective and honest, and never sugar coated anything... and the fact that Tom was exactly the same to deal with in month 6 as in month 1, shows his professionalism (I was certainly out of patience by month 6!). The "no sale, no fee" format was a great safety net for us... God knows what we would have ended up paying if we had followed the traditional route. As others have commented, Fletcher Longstaff are not the cheapest "no sale, no fee" offering, but when I go to the pub I don't order pints of Skol, and we are talking about the most important transactions in one's lifetime. I also appreciated Tom's logical approach, and don't recall ever hearing any woolly opinions or anything that was unsubstantiated... everything was based on fact and expertise. Tom and Fletcher Longstaff played a massive part in making our move happen and I wish them all the best for the future.

Genuinely didn't think any solicitors could be as good as the reviews here made them out to be. I was wrong. Gareth was amazing from start to finish, so efficient that he pretty much single-handedly drove our house sale along when other solicitors in the chain were slowing things down. We always knew exactly what was happening and any question got an expert response, usually within minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fletcher Longstaff to anyone.
