Tom Hansen dealt with our house sale in Cheshire and the purchase of our new home in Devon. Tom communicated very well in all aspects to us. The proposed cost breakdown for our sale and purchase was simple and clear. There were no unexpected extras. Communications were regular and clear. If we needed to talk and he was not available he always phoned straight back. When things became a little fraught in both our sale and purchase he was very calm and re-assuring and he actively liased very well with the estate agents and helped the whole thing actually go through even when it all looked very doubtful. What he did do was not to overload us with every petty detail of hold ups which we appreciated mre afterwards as we were pretty stressed by the uncertainty of it all at times. All in all the service was top class and great value for money and I would recommend Fletcher Longstaff and will certainly use them again in the future. keith &liz

This was my second ever house purchase and things have moved on quite a bit in the last 20 years! Gone are the days when you can just pop in to a local office with your documents; most things are dealt with electronically - a bit daunting if you're a technophobe, like me. Shopping around for a decent conveyancer isn't easy either: you find plenty with good reviews, dig a bit deeper and the 'not so good' put you off. I appointed FL on the basis of recent and consistently positive reviews, had a minor panic when I read that FL had gone into administration in May 2020, but was reassured by the CLC that the new practice was fully insured and regulated. I've had and have no regrets and would definitely recommend FL for your conveyancing needs. The intouch online portal proved easy to access (phew!), and was updated by Craig on a regular basis. I liked the 'percentage completed' visual too, as it reflected our joint efforts to get through the house-buying process. Craig was an absolute star, and communicated with me promptly, responding to all my queries clearly and reassuringly, alleviating some of the stress that comes with any major upheaval. Thank you Craig, Tom and FL for smoothing the way.

This firm was more expensive than many others but they were worth it. Tom Hansen was so responsive to calls and emails. However be warned their serviced office is extremely hard to find if you plan to hand deliver important documents. This is important as the post office lost the documents I posted so Please photocopy everything you cant replace.

Highly recommended Fletcher Longstaff did the conveyancing for the private sale of a rented flat. Although the process took much longer than expected (due to issues on the buyers' side), Gareth remained professional, courteous, and assiduous throughout. In the most stressful transaction of my life, Tom at FL was the absolute legend who held everything together. We used FL for three transactions during 2021, two sales, and one purchase. We were very happy with the service we received. FL were good at keeping us informed of progress, and if we had any additional questions, these were always swiftly resolved. We also felt that FL's charges were very reasonable. We are still looking to buy a flat, and once we find one that suits, we shall no doubt be returning to FL so as to get the fourth and final transaction sorted.
