Gareth Edwards was our main contact and he was proactive, responsive and gave us good advice when we needed it. Communication was excellent throughout and provided regular progress updates. They also provide continuity when staff take holidays. FL prices are similar to our local solicitors but the service they provide is much better. I wouldn't use anyone else.

We have used Gareth to work on our behalf on multiple occasions, and even gone to the extent of tracking him down when moving from one firm to another. Gareth is always very diligent, professional and responsive when handling our property sales, I honestly can't fault him. From a Fletcher Longstaff point of view, again this experience was very professionally handled, with portal access to see exactly when milestones have been achieved, and more importantly when they have not. All round great performance and will be using Gareth again on our future family property ventures.

We recently relocated from Scotland to Lincolnshire with a fairly tight timescale. We originally instructed the conveyancing firm recommended by the estate agent - Big Mistake! First they wouldn't do anything until I'd had an "initial appointment call", which they couldn't schedule for a fortnight. Then, on the appointed day my allocated conveyancer didn't phone, nor on the day after. I dismissed them, saying I did not expect to receive a bill, and looked for another conveyancer. A Trustpilot search showed Fletcher Longstaff got good reviews. I emailed them shortly before 17:00 on the Tuesday and got a reply from Tom Hansen almost immediately. I explained our situation and Tom's response was that he hoped that FL would be more effective than our previous conveyancer. That was an understatement. Tom accomplished more in the following 24 hours than the previous firm had done in two weeks. Because we were moving from Scotland to England, with different legal systems, we had to use different conveyancers for our sale and purchase. I had to continually chase our Scottish conveyancer to get things done and to keep us informed. Tom was completely different. He was only an email or phone call away; he was friendly, helpful and professional. He proactively kept us informed without my having to chase him, and he did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. They say that moving house is one of the three most stressful things you can do and it’s true; but thanks to Tom we had less to worry about than might have been the case. It’s true that Fletcher Longstaff are not the cheapest conveyancing firm, but they provide a quality service that is excellent value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and if we ever move house again I won’t use anyone else.

We've just completed the sale of our property with the help of Tom at FL and couldn't be happier. We had a previous sale fall through and, for that transaction, we went through what I think is probably a common process of searching for a conveyancer initially using the popular online comparison sites, with the usual names appearing at the top, cheaper, end of the results. My experience is that these firms "farm" cases, they squeeze their fees down to the bare minimum in order to maximise case numbers - this doesn't make for an easy or responsive service for the customers, though, and I was often frustrated at a lack of response and the time it took to deal with any issues etc. So, when we found a new buyer, I put a bit more thought into our selection of a conveyancer and looked into reviews etc. to find that FL had a great track record. I spoke to Tom initially to find out what they offered which the cheaper alternatives don't and that confirmed my own thoughts about case numbers and service times etc. so we went ahead. We've been kept absolutely up to date with each stage of the process as it developed, and queries I sent to Tom were answered very quickly and we were provided all the information we needed. The difference between the two experiences was night and day. In what is usually a stressful time anyway, the conveyancing process can either put your mind at ease, or add to that stress, and the additional cost of appointing a firm like FL instead of one at the cheaper end of the spectrum is absolutely worth every penny in my opinion.

Absolutely brilliant! I never thought I would be happy with a conveyancer during the stressful moving process but Gareth was absolutely brilliant. The efficiency of their work and quick responses to emails made the transactions so much easier and reduced stress levels a great deal. Gareth was very polite, efficient and effective, he explained everything clearly and concisely, copied me in to all email conversations so I knew what stage we were at all the time. There is an online portal so you can always know what is outstanding and what has been achieved. I would 100% use them again, and have been recommending them to everyone I meet!
