Quietly welcoming. “Take your time, have a look around and then pop in and see me”. No heavy sales pressure, and Danny was very helpful. If I ever need to buy another used car I will definitely return.

Do not buy from this place. Complete liars that sell dodgy cars. Bought the Volvo XC90 end of Jan 2022 . It wasn’t ready when they said it would be, contacted me 5:30pm the night before and said upon inspection it needed a new window regulator and the part would take 3 days to arrive and a simple fix but wouldn’t be prepared to let us take it as it was dangerous with a faulty window and even though some garages would allow this they wouldn’t for safety reasons 😂 .This week received a refund as numerous things wrong with it. No communication, no paperwork for alleged work (service, leak, tie rod ends, ABS light, steering rack inspection) carried out on it, service book stamped no paperwork to back this up. The day the refund went through - back up for sale. Now unless a miracle has occurred and they have fixed all the things wrong with it in 2 days, (even though they didn’t manage to in approximately 3 weeks of to and fro ing) then please, for your own safety, do not touch it. Service light on when collected was told it had been forgotten to be reset when it was ‘serviced’ Brake light out Both keys didn’t/don’t work outside the car Pulled sharply to the right when braking Steering clunky and stiff Asked someone to call me back and was told to activate the AA warranty (we stupidly) bought and book it in to their workshop for repairs. Called the AA and the operator told me I wouldn’t be able to claim anyway because it wasn’t a breakdown issue as the car had these faults when sold but she was great and took all the details of the company, car, issues and costs. (So don’t bother with that purchase your OWN cover) Back into Horsepower eventually told it had been fixed new tie rod ends? When I asked one of the staff over the phone why these issues weren’t picked up on it’s original MOT 🤔 or service 🤔🤔was told “I don’t know I’m not a mechanic “ Driving on motorway in rain with children in car when ABS light came on and car lost all power had to pull over onto hard shoulder. When I picked up the handbook from passenger footwell it was soaking wet because the footwell was saturated under the mat which was hiding a leak Back to Horsepower was told (after me driving over there as no contact) 100% this leak was causing the ABS light to come on. 1 week with absolutely no contact again I called to be told they’d been working on it all day and it would need a new steering rack and had to be sent to a Volvo specialist to be removed and a new one fitted. Another week NO contact I called and asked for the specialist contact details, so I could check progress, to be told no it’s being done in house but it’s unrepairable and they had sourced one and it would be arriving around the following Thursday/Fri. I asked why I was told it was being sent to a specialist when it clearly hadn’t and Danny said there must have been confusion but he’d ask the workshop guy why this was. At this point I asked for a refund. This car was at a different site and was up on the ramps in the workshop the day we collected it - they closed the door of the workshop when they saw us arrive and we were told it wouldn't be ready until just before closing (this was 9:30 am when we were told this) . This car had minimal time, work and checks, if any. No apologies. But if you are tempted to buy it please take note of these issues I’ve highlighted and I will be more than happy to supply text messages to prove all the issues. You never know they may have repaired all the things wrong with it and if they have then great and as it’s the same price still then you’ve had all the above work done effectively free of charge as there’s no price increase ….yet. Roll on the sarcastic reply that they like to respond with rather than a professional one….

Purchased a car over the phone and was told the car was in extremely good condition and you wont be find a fault with it. When I picked the car up and took it home there was damage on 4 panels, bonnet that was out of line, a vibration under Braking from 50mph and above and a faulty passenger seetbelt. The day before i purchased the car it had an MOT with no advisories yet the passenger searbelt fault is an immediate fail once I had seeked professional advice. I asked to return the car and asked for a full refund i was told yes. I didn't get a full refund but i got a bill for £403, £1 for every mile i put on the car whilst i had it yet the garage was some 170 miles from my house and I had to do a detour due to roadworks of approx 15 miles. I used the car on a coupke of occasions when i fist got it due my other vehicle being off the road for general maintenance. When I questioned the £403 and said that the seatbelt is an MOT failable point they stopped communicating with me and have ignored me since! The attitude of the company employees definitely changed once i had asked to return the car. Only gave 1 star as i couldnt leave zero stars! Avoid at all costs Your terms and conditions do state this however you sold me a car with a clear MOT (done the day before I collected) that has a faulty seatbelt which is an MOT failable point! Horsepower are not taking responsibility for the risk they could have caused to myself and/or family! I did say in my communication I'd be happy to meet financially somewhere in the middle but there was no conversation. I asked for a full refund and was told yes! Also you haven't lost financially as the car is now on your website for sale at the same price as I purchased at!

I found the advert for the car on auto trader and the next day phoned Horse power regarding the car.Spoke to Peter who couldn't have been more helpful,He explained everything fully and honestly and was very kind and friendly. My family and I went up on the Saturday to purchase the vehicle and Peter was very welcoming and went through all the paperwork clearly. We didn't feel rushed at all and he took the time to chat with us too.I would definitely recommend Horsepower to friends and family to get a good vehicle with wonderful service and I would not hesitate to buy from them again.Thankyou Horsepower for a great vehicle.

Thank you for your somewhat sarcastic apology? Whilst it may be only a minor point to you, I'm sure others would agree that it would not be so 'minor' if I had gone to work with the only set of keys that work and my wife needed to attend a hospital appointment? (which is a regular occurrence)

Overall all a good service, I think perhaps a little bit more of a personal touch was needed, I can’t say that anything or anybody in particular went above and beyond though . They definitely need to sort a decent courtesy car out though !!

I have used this motor centre now 3 times for service on BMW 520D and feel that the service and care is equivalent to that I have received at the main dealer. However, it is more cost effective than main dealer service and therefore I feel I can maintain my car better by servicing at reduced intervals and replacing consumables more frequently. The video feedback on car condition is very welcome and equivalent to BMW.
