Loan took an extra 3 week to close 52 day in all was not to happy with that

This is not my first loan with PennyMack. I had experience a smooth professional experience with both of my loans when I refinanced to a lower rate. My loan officer is very professional! She answered all my questions and made me at ease. Thank you PennyMac.

I was promised a pre-aproval letter 3 weeks ago. Have emailed all the requested documents to the loan officer (James) Mike Byers, but never heard back even after leaving 3 voice messages and 2 emails. They are simply ignoring new customers. To busy doing re-financing I guess. If you are looking for a new mortgage - do not waste your time with PennyMac - do directly somewhere else for your new financing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! BEWARE! I was $16 short on a payment and they sent me to collections saying I did not make any payment which was a lie. They charged me $45 in late fees on top of that. They refused to credit late fees even though I have never made a late payment in the 9 years I have had this account. This is a Bad company to deal with. Save yourself the trouble and find a better lender! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Though the process was not great Rene Gomez made all the difference. He is very competent and brought my loan refinancing to a successful conclusion.
