United States | 28 July 2020Our move in experience was truly terrible and given the chance, I will never use OneRent again (and would certainly not recommend it to anyone). For context, we toured the home in late September and were told that the home was nearly move-in ready, but that they wanted us to delay our move-in until October 1st to clean the home and fix the obviously broken items (the garage door, the mailbox, the shutters in the upstairs bedroom). When we arrived at the house, it was clear that nothing had been done to the house since the last tenants moved out. It was incredibly dirty, all of the broken things we noticed during the house tour were still broken in addition to a host of other issues including but not limited to: metal in power sockets, broken microwave, holes in walls, wires sticking out of walls, nails in walls, scratched walls, missing paint, missing drain covers, missing vent covers, thermostat removed from wall, missing lightbulbs, broken side gate, broken windows, missing panel and rod in master closet, mold, and mouse droppings. The foremost and most pressing of the maintenance issues with the house was that at move-in there was no running water in the house. The water that did run was brown, murky, and smelly and filled the tubs, toilets, and sinks. There were people inside who had been asked last minute by OneRent to clean the home, but they were equally frustrated, as they could not do much without running water. When we tried to call OneRent about the water, we were told that the owner said there was running water and told that we had not activated the water with the city. Both of these were false, we had set up our accounts with the water department the week before, and water outside was working. It took us 5 hours, tens of phone calls, and multiple people calling to finally get someone to send out a plumber (and in the end, it was not One Rent who called him, it was the owner). At one point, I called the 24/7 Maintenance line but was told that all employees were in a meeting for the next hour and would not be answering calls. How can you call something a 24/7 line when there was at least an hour when no one was answering calls? What if this was a life-threatening emergency? It took a day for the plumber to clear enough pipes in the house to allow us to have water in sinks, toilets, and one shower. It has taken more than 6 months of living in this house for 70% of the issues to be fixed (by the owner, not OneRent). We have not been contacting them for maintenance issues, as we can never get a straight answer from anyone or ever talk to the same person twice. The people on the phone always repeat that they “understand”, but they clearly do not. They seem mostly concerned about how they will be rated for their customer service and survey results, but not how or if they are actually helping customers. I think this stems from more of a larger company organizational issue rather than the fault of the individual people we spoke with. At this point OneRent's only function is to collect our money for the homeowner and nothing else.

United States | 25 July 2020We have been with Onerent for almost a year, and it has been a smooth experience. Paying the monthly rent is simple and easy, and they also have great, active communication. They are responsive when it comes to addressing questions and or concerns, as well as scheduling the inspection. So far so good!

United States | 24 July 2020I have reached out to Onerent in last year March(2019) to find tenant for my house in Livermore. They helped me to find tenant quickly once they understood my requirements. Since then, they have been managing my property and doing an excellent job. They have been closely following up with tenant and me on any house related issues, lease extensions etc. I found them very responsive and available all the time for quarries. Overall, I am very happy with service they are providing.

United States | 21 July 2020If I could give negative reviews I would! Stay far away from OneRent. The customer service is awful and apartment issues have been neglected to the point that OneRent had to settle with us in court — a process that cost them well over what it would be to fix the issue itself! The company is poorly run and is truly a 3rd party that has no insight into the actual property you may be renting. Highly recommended to AVOID this property management group to save yourself time and headaches.

United States | 21 July 2020Such a terrible experience with Onerent. They would never answered the phone. They would never advised you. No one cared your property. They worked only when you had a chance to complain. They will charge you for doing nothing and wasting time. Never trust it again.

United States | 07 July 2020Overall very easy to deal with however, I wish there was a better online dashboard for owners to access information (taxes, maintenance invoices, etc).

United States | 26 June 2020I have been using service of OneRent since June 2015, since early days of their establishment and find huge comfort and peace of mind. They are quite professional & personal. It's been privilege to see Greg & Chuck have expanded OneRent in very short time. I have referred to my friends as well.

United States | 17 June 2020I had absolutely terrible experience with this property management company for the last 1.5 months I had an agreement with them to rent my property. It all started with a cold call from them after I posted our property for rent in San Martin. They told all nice stories until I signed up for the property management. Once I signed the paperwork, experience has been very different. To get the property onboarded it took a while. Every day different person calls saying he is taking over the property from previous person. In the end I dont know who is really dealing with my property for me to talk to. Looking at the experiences from initial couple of weeks, I grew suspicious about the quality of the company I am dealing with, so I read about various reviews I found online about this company and I can confirm many of the bad reviews I read online. After several weeks of scheduled and cancelled showings, last week they came up with a group applicant with low credit score ~600 saying they check out fine with their system and hence we should rent it to them. They didn't give much details about their low credit score. When we felt uncomfortable with this, and asked them to process a section 8 prospective tenant, they say they wont work with section 8 applicants because housing authority will pay the rent directly to the owner. Next day they immediately came up with one tenant, where they claim good credit score 765 and 656, but other information they mentioned about minors doesnt match system generated email. When I questioned them, they provide a separate screenshot of minor children of the prospective tenants, but screenshot does not show parents. Looking at all this we grew suspicious about this company operations and decided to cancel the agreement. When we did that, they sent an invoice for the leasing fee of $999 for a tenant they haven't placed in the property. So end result is that we lost $999 with this property management company and a month and half without much traction to get our property rented. We would have done so much better if have never signed up with this company.

United States | 12 June 2020Agnes was very helpful and the best OneRent team member I have experienced thus far! She even helped us out on her days off, checking in to see if the maintenance man had arrived and if the issue was fixed. She did this numerous times too! A great help to my roommates and I. She was proactive, friendly, and truly gave the best service possible. She deserves every promotion and/or pay raise for how helpful and fantastic she was! Thank you Agnes! :)

United States | 12 June 2020Ivern at Onerent's accounting team went above and beyond to help me. Ivern was respectful and professional as he listened to my current hardship due to COVID-19 and stayed that way all throughout the process. Because of this, I felt totally comfortable with him representing my interest as he spoke with the property owner on behalf of my family knowing that he must have also been respectful and professional as he spoke with the property owner. As to attest to this, he was able to get the result that was beyond what I thought was possible. Truly grateful for his humanistic approach and help.

United States | 12 June 2020Worst rental company ever, whenever there are maintenance issues they send youtube videos for the tenant to resolve, so if you rent from them you are also your own maintenance crew unpaid.

United States | 10 June 2020Javrish is awesome. She is so dedicated in supporting me to talk with my tenant to follow through with the tenant deferral payment plan. She is very patient and diligent in listening to my needs and my concerns. I feel so lucky that she is working on my case. That changes my viewpoint of One Rent. I decided to stay with One Rent because of Javrish.

United States | 10 June 2020DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! I would give negative stars if possible. Worst property management and leasing company ever!!! Reasons why I hate them, from most terrible to terrible: 1. Rekey my property without telling me. I found out when I saw the invoice a month later. Totally unacceptable, they invalidated owner's backup keys without letting you know!!!!! 2. Made your potential tenants wait for hours before can see the house. I only knew about this when I terminated the management with them. When I talked to my current tenants, they are angry about this company too. When this company did the showing to them, this company made them waited for hours and even cancelled a visit after they've waited for hours. They thanked me for stop using this company. 3. Terrible inspection. They will show minor things like cleaning needed or light bulbs but not for major things like AC not working when they do inspection. So it made my tenants frustrated that when they moved in something was still broken even if I fixed them all in advance according to their inspection report. 4. Totally mess when there's any issues and you want to call them. Every time they said will you call you back, don't trust them. They won't. You will end up talking about your issue from beginning again to a different person. 5. Keep on asking same questions to you. Eg, I told them around 20 days before about parking rules in my property and forwarded them the HOA rules, but they were still asking me for it 20 days after. I have evidence of the emails I sent, but they just don't read it, keep on calling me about that for 2-3 times later. Super annoying. It happened for other things as well, and if you complained, they will apologize but never correct it next time. I ended up feel very frustrated and stressed after using them. I paid 125 every month for management and 999 for leasing this property out. In the end I felt like I paid the money to make both me and my tenants frustrated. Totally not worth any money. For any future landlords or tenants, STAY AWAY from this company! They won't make leasing process easier, just harder!!
