United States | 05 December 2017IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY HELP!!! I literally get put on hold for 40+ mins every time I call; and I have to call EVERY MONTH because they overcharge me$35 EVERY MONTH and the shop says there is nothing they can do, that I have to go through Guardian to get a refund. It takes me HOURS of time I SHOULD be working making money to get my refund, so it's just a wash anyways. And then when you DO finally get them on the phone, they transfer you to the wrong person who then says they can't transfer you back because it's a "different company," and then you have to start ALL OVER. It is absolutely insane. If I could give negative stars, I would.

United States | 15 November 2017Wow . Where to begin ! Absolutely do not ,and I repeat do not use guardian as your provider! Nothing but issues with their dated equipment. Impossible to reach them. Each and every review on this site is accurate and similar to what I have experienced. Do a Google search consumer insight guardian and read the horror stories. They are all true.

This made scheduling very difficult because she had to keep me on hold several times while she called the auto shop several times. Great besides that.

United States | 28 August 2017Guardian Interlock is a SHAM - DO NOT USE THEM. They are very nice to you on the phone when you first call in because this is the method they use to hook you in, and make you believe that everything is going to go smoothly. They offered me my first month free and low monthly rates of $69.00 a month afterwards. The installation for the device came to only $21.00. All great until I left the mechanic who installed the device. The first stop I made and tried to turn on the car and it did not start. I called Guardian and after holding for 20 minutes, someone finally picked up and told me to have the car towed back to the mechanic. Next day, the car again stalls and gets towed to the mechanic. The mechanic told me that the base of the device was not working, so he had to change it. When he changed the base, he realized that two headpieces did not work either. I was told by the mechanic that all the equipment Guardian sends out is refurbished and they have ALOT OF ISSUES with FAULTY EQUIPMENT. This is not safe, and this kind of equipment will leave you stranded as it did to me that first & second day of use!!!! I have called Guardian a total of 4 times, resulting in almost 3 hours of conversations and they do not want to allow me to remove the faulty equipment unless I adhere to their cancellation policies of over $200.00. They have their calling centers well trained and do not allow you to be transferred to their "state department" which is a compete sham. Finally someone called me this morning (Sergio) and he listened to my complaints and copped a major attitude with me and told me that he was not going to do anything for me. So I guess they bully you and abuse you since you are stuck with the device until you shell out $200.00 for their mistake? Wow - I am contacting everyone to complain about these crooks. Look online and check all their negative reviews. I did not do this before and regret it. If you have had problems with Guardian like myself - contact the real state department which is the DMV in your local state and tell them how badly you are being treated by this private company. They have a government contract with the state and they are abusing their customers. On my first two days I am being bullied by these unethical people. They lack any kind of customer service and I no longer feel safe to drive my car with proven faulty, damaged & poor equipment. They don't care about your safety or your satisfaction. They just want your money. The equipment is old and a very slow system to start & stop on top of everything. We should not be treated this way!!!!!! Being abused and taken advantage of because of your temporary situations is unacceptable. Guardian thanks for the shallow response below but you know who I am and I won't expose my real name on the internet. Who wants anyone to know they are using an interlock device? Great try tho to deviate from the blame!

United States | 24 August 2017My experience with the telephone rep, Melissa, was great! She was courteous and did an excellent job explaining everything. She was also very prompt in her responses. I felt very comfortable with her. The contractor who performed the installed was nearly the opposite. His primary business was auto accessories and installing interlocks is obviously a secondary income stream for him. I'm not sure what has happened to him, but as soon as he found out I was there for an interlock installation appointment his attitude changed instantly. It went from happy & helpful to treating me like I was major inconvenience. He couldn't care less about making sure I understand how to use the unit. I managed to get it correct on the first try and drove off. 3 minutes down the road I got a rolling retest and kept failing because I wasn't getting the blow "pattern" correct. Of course, my headlights started flashing and I had to immediately turn around to return to his shop. I'm already embarrassed at having this thing installed and now I am mortified that I have to return to this man for help. Of course, his attitude was even worse and made me feel like I was an idiot for not understanding how to work. Since then, I've watched videos on YouTube and I know how to use my unit. However, this could have all been avoided with a small amount of human decency and a few minutes of training before I left.
