Shipping expensive/ took alittle longer than I expected!

The three wines I chose were not actually in Saratoga Wine's cellars but had to be delivered to them by an unknown agent resulting in a delivery to me eight days after placing my on-line order.

Was looking for a hard to find item in my area. Saratoga Wine had it in stock and was very helpful sending the order very quickly.

My favorite bourbon is Pappy Van Winkle but it is very hard to find. A friend of mine who favors bourbon invited me to a weekend fishing south of Tallahassee and I offered to bring the whiskey. So I went looking for what I like best and found Saratoga had the full spectrum of what I like and mostly can't get (Pappy 23 virtually impossible and 20 also dear). So I ordered 23, 20, 15, 13 (Rye) and then, a couple days later started asking myself whether it was so realistic that I could get a 23 so easy. So I got paranoid and went online and focused only on negative reviews to see if I might have made a mistake. The only mistake was whether 23 would actually show up. I read a review on 23 where some guy actually thought he was being ripped off because 23 lists for $150!!! Obviously that guy didn't understand anything about 23 if you aren't the blessed soul who gets an allotment from Old Rip. But I worried. So I wrote a rather aggressive email telling Saratoga I wasn't going to accept a partial order (i.e. no 23, no buy). Saratoga very politely reported the order was already being sent and it arrived just as promised (do need an adult to sign for obvious reasons). Saratoga delivered as promised the greatest Bourbon on the planet with its siblings as ordered on time. And they were very polite in their response to what was, admittedly, a rather impolite email mostly expressing what I would do to return an partial order if my desired 23 wasn't there. It was and I'm delighted. As for the price, I have no idea how much is the market price for Pappy at the level I was ordering - and I really didn't care as getting it was what I needed. Saratoga delivered exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it.

Saratoga wine was very responsive and communicated quickly on shipping timing. In another case it turned out the wine was no longer available but they communicated quickly and efficiently and did not charge my account. Overall, it was a good experience.

I have place a couple orders on a Friday and normally have them by Tuesday. Fast shipping and good packaging. Only complaint is that UPS hasn't been asking for a signature and just leaving box at door without any one getting it.

We recently went to Italy and tried a wine we loved but did not buy while there. We searched for it in the US and Saratgoga Wine had it.
