I found the Fields Data Recovery support team from a Google search. The Support Team contacted me right away after I completed an online form. I explained that I dropped my 1 TB Hitachi external HDD. Now, the drive was clicking. After the telephone conversation, I was emailed a UPS Overnight label. The Support Team telephoned me once they received the HHD. I mailed the Support Team my damaged 1 TB Hitachi external HDD and 2 TB LaCie drive to transfer any recoverable data The very same day, the Support Team informed me to the diagnostics, for the drive, and what they had to do to cover the data. The entire process of mailing the failed drive, recovering the data and returning the LaCie took about four business days The Support Team emailed the recovered data is kept for seven business days. After seven days, the Support Team made follow up call to ensure all was well and suggested cloud-based data storage

I had a failed had drive and called the Fields Team to get my data recovered. They were quite responsive to my questions and concerns and gave me updates on the recovery job at-hand. They also got my data sent back to me pretty quick, so I was pretty satisfied with that. If you really need your data recovered, this company is for you... just be aware, it's not cheap, but they do a great job.

They worked with me, described what I needed to have done, and gave me an accurate time frame. All of my personal data was recovered. Pictures that dated back decades, to some more recent ones of my children while they where very young, and others while I served in the Army stationed overseas in Korea. They sent the data back to me on a USB and I received it when they said I would. Great place, expensive, but well worth it, I would use again if needed.

My life was on my external hard drive: family photos, work-related documents, teaching aids, etc. Suddenly, it stopped working. I'd used Field Data Recovery at a previous place of employment and found them to be prompt, efficient, and great at updating me on the status of the recovery. As we were going to be visiting the St. Louis area, I was hoping to find a firm based there to do the recovery. I called one of the competitors and explained the situation, and I was told I couldn't drop the disk off and it didn't matter because they shipped it to a lab in Ohio to be worked on. Was this pricy? Absolutely. But they recovered >95% of the data and did so ahead of their stated timetable. In addition, they kept me apprised of where things stood and what the next steps would be. I recently reached out to Fields Data Recovery to try to get old family pictures and videos from a crashed/non-working hard-drive. In addition to restoring photos from two Christmases, and three vacations, they were able to restore pictures of my dogs when they were young/puppies. They had both recently passed away after being beloved family members for over 14 years. That was the catalyst that lead me to stop putting off sending the drive in to be restored. Fast and wonderful service! The hard drive spun but electronics were dead. Fields was able to replace the electronics and retrieve a ton of photos, drawings, and documents that were one of a kind and took years of work to put together. All this retrieved within a few days!

I sent my external drive off to them and the process was so easy! customer service was definitely 5 star. They communicated very well and kept me updated on every step that was being taken and explained it if needed. They called and emailed frequently during the process. Also, I felt like it was all done so quickly, the entire process from start to finish. I felt like the price was fair, as well. Luckily they were able to retrieve all my files for me (84k+ files). I would definitely use them again, and recommend them for anyone who has had anything crash on them. My drive was unretrievable through several different programs I used and a couple people trying. I am so thankful to have all my memories back.

Quoted a very high price once they received my hard drive, and got an attitude when I declined to pay the price. They never returned the hard drive despite my request and their stated policy.

If you decide not to takes services, they ship the drive back at no cost which I believe is they're best selling point vs the competition. I really enjoyed the customer service they gave us, explaining every step of the process and following up on the work history. They're data recovery services were very reliable and accurate as all of our data was saved by them like eureka!

In a split second, a full glass of wine spilled onto my laptop and killed it. I thought I'd be ok because I have an external hard drive backing up my data daily.
