United States | 05 December 2020I had an HP tower about 10 years old and noticed that the fan was going on periodically for no reason. Found out later after it crashed that it was cooling the hard drive. Tried to fix or at least recover my data locally, but was told data was unrecoverable. I was given various options to send my hard drive out, but I did the research and chose Fields Data Recovery and am so thankful that I did. Spoke to a representative right away and was emailed the info to ship my hard drive. They called me within a day and they had a status of what could be done and the pricing. They were able to retrieve all of the pertinent information and then some. Since this was our home based businesses data of so many years, I am truly thankful for their expertise and great customer service. I highly recommend them.

United States | 04 December 2020I am most impressed with this service! Fields was great on the phone, reassured me that they would only charge me if I used their services, and explained their services in a way I could understand. it is almost secondary that they were able to recover my data, long thought lost, so that I can keep working on this project! I highly recommend! It was also worth the cost! GG

United States | 03 December 2020They provide overnight shipping to and from their office for free! They also offer a free initial evaluation and you are under no obligation to accept their fee for recovery of your data. I chose to have my data recovered which they did within a week or so. Almost 1TB of data was recovered and sent back to me on an external SSD drive.

United States | 02 December 2020After three years, I finally worked up the courage to get a data recovery estimate on the USB drive that housed 14 GB of photos/videos. As a graduate student, I am on a budget. The initial estimate was way too far out of my price range and so I asked for my USB to be returned, hoping to one day proceed with the process when I started my career! The man I was working with agreed, but responded a week later with a quote that was half the price. I proceeded with the recovery and now have all of my data back!! So grateful for the specific employee and Fields! If you can afford it, do it!

United States | 02 December 2020Data recovery isn't inexpensive, nor is it precise. I'm amazed at clients who seem to think it's a discount or lowest bidder kind of service. Fields have turned my dead drives around within a week, at roughly 95% recovery rate. They deliver for me and I hope I don't need them again!

United States | 17 November 2020I inquired about Fields Data Recovery services online and received a call and email within an asking how I could be assisted. I was a little nervous at first to pay as much as I did, but Fields took care of recovering over 200GB of information from my broken hard drive. I'm very grateful for their services

United States | 07 November 2020I dropped an external USB 2.5 GB hard drive and when I plugged it in to my computer it clicked and Windows wouldn't recognize it. I took it to a local computer repair shop and after having it for a few days they told me that it was dead and the data was gone. I contacted Fields Data Recovery and had a fantastic experience. My rep Steve was very professional and kept me updated throughout the process. Within a few days Steve sent me a file list of what was recoverable and a quote. Fortunately, Fields Data Recover was able to recover all of the files on the drive. It was a very smooth and painless process.

United States | 04 November 2020My hard drive crashed and I needed my work files as I hadn't backed them up on an external drive. Nobody could recover the data such as any local vendors. I searched and found Fields Data Recovery website and filled out a quick explanation of what happened. I promptly received a phone call from them and decided to give it a try. This company was very fast and efficient and there was always a person there to answer my call or call me to update me. Very smooth process and they recovered all that I needed. Love the personal touch and quality customer service they provided. I would highly recommend them!

United States | 03 November 2020My husbands laptop hard drive just died.Went to the Geek Squad who said they could not retrieve the data. It contained 4 years of personal and business documents and many family videos and photos. Found Fields Data Recovery on the internet, called, spoke to Steve, he was great! They provided a pre-paid UPS via email to me, sent them the drive, within maybe a day, they advised they could recover the drive. Spoke to Steve and Robert couple times, both always very informative, professional and efficient. So grateful to have found them! Recommend them 100%

United States | 02 November 2020Their service was extremely tailored to me, which was excellent. I always felt I had close attention paid to me. They were able to save a great chunk of my data as well, (not all of it, but a fair amount). One small negative was that I received an international charge from my bank from paying them. It wasn't huge, but it was a small annoyance, because I thought they were based in MO or something, but apparently not.

Egypt | 30 October 2020The last thing one could expect is find that more than 28gig of pictures are gone - all family memories will no longer be memorable and all my future plans to share some of these lovely moments during my daughter graduation/wedding etc will no longer exist. As desperate as one could imagine, I browsed the internet and looked for a professional agency which could recover my damaged external hard disk - fields data recovery stands out of the clutter and I was able to connect them over the phone - they clearly explains the process and offered their free diagnostic and sent me the UPS label. 24 hrs after they receive the damaged disk - they provided me with a brief diagnosis of what happened and the possible solution - I was extremely happy to know that 95% of data has been recovered While I don’t want anyone to have a similar situation - yet - in case you have, be confident that field data recovery will be beside you and they will do their best to recover your damaged disk

United States | 29 October 2020Great company! This was my 1st experience with Fields DataRecovery. They are expensive. But, and this is a big but, they can do things that local companies cannot. My wife's Seagate hard drive suddenly turned to trash. No response trying normal recovery methods. Turned out that the write heads inside the drive (Those things that move quickly across the surface of a disk to read & write data suddenly, on their own, broke. The only way to retrieve data on such a break is to take apart the hard drive. Find another same model, make, etc. hard drive, & replace the write heads in a clean room environment. Only then can data be retrieved from the disk. I used to work in IT. I can build a computer. But this takes expertise that is not commonly found or easily applied. Yes, you have to pay for it........ The company, based in St. Louis is easy to work with. They stay in contact with you and keep you abreast of progress. So why is a retired house wife's hard drive so important? She does genealogy & had years & years of documentation + correspondence on that hard drive! One does not realize how much of their life is on a hard drive until it is suddenly gone! I am framing the hard drive for her, as a reminder that hard drives do fail, and always, always do backups! We now backup to the cloud automatically. If you find yourself in such a situation, these are the guys to work with.

United States | 20 October 2020I am writing this to let others who are needing data recovered to consider Fields-Data-Recovery. I have an external WD drive that has over 25 years of accumulated data on it that my wife, who is now with our LORD for 3 years, and I had been keeping for backup. This was our main one and we have 2 others that have not been updated in a few years. Recently I was working on my laptop on the bed and the external drive was attached via usb dongle and slid down off the bed when I moved the laptop closer. The drive was only about 1 foot off the ground when it hit the ground. I immediately plugged it back in and it recognized the drive and I was able to see the data structure and read a couple of files. I had just saved some current updates to the drive when it fell. I thought all was ok. Then I put the laptop in sleep mode with the drive still attached. The next morning I woke up the laptop and tried to access the drive. I got an I/O error. I could feel it running, but it would not read the data. I tried multiple times to get it to read and no luck. Because I knew how important the data was, I had to find a solution to get the data. I searched on the internet for a data recovery company and fields-data-recovery came up. Since I have been an IT administrator with degrees in accounting and Computer IS, I did diligent investigation to make sure they could meet my needs with trusted reliability. I found out they have been around for almost 20 years. They have done over 140,000 diagnoses and over 92% recovery rate. I contacted fields-data-recovery services and was contacted by a very wonderful account manager, Mr Jenkins. I was informed of the services, what was involved, that I was sent a prepaid label to get my drive to their facility, and also would be updated on what the drive integrity was and how much could be recovered. I was sent an accessible list of the files and folders and the amount of data. They let me know there was over 260,000 file and 12,000 they could recover. I was then given the time frame and price for the recovery. They allowed me to make the decision. I was never rushed or pushed in making the decision. Once I agreed for the data to be recovered, they ordered a new drive and put my recovered files on it and sent it back to me via FEDEX. Once I got the drive back and accessed the data, I contacted my account manager to let him know I could read the files and the original date time stamps were intact. I was informed that they would keep my data on their servers for 7 days to be able to check my new drive and if any problems, they would send another drive. I let them know I could read the data and what I was able to be opened, including password protected excel sheets. They even agreed to send back my original drive because it is sentimental to me, being that it was my wife's and she kept it with all the YEARS of our life was put on there. I want to thank FIELDS-DATA-RECOVERY team so much for doing a terrific job and knowing how priceless data can be, especially when it comes to memories that can be passed down to children and grand-children.

Japan | 19 October 2020External hard drive -- Bottom line, they eventually recovered my data. However, the first time I sent off my drive and got it back, it was not recovered at all, and it was devastating. Less than 1% of the pix/videos were able to be opened, many of the filenames were swapped, metadata was lost (date picture taken, etc) and I was very upset. I was finally able to talk the customer service rep into taking back the drive and trying to recover it again, and eventually he did. The second time, everything, as far as I could tell was recovered completely. This was a LOT of stress for me that lasted months, but it ended well. Paid over $835 for the operation. 1 star for Round 1, 5 stars for Round 2, Average is 3 stars.

United States | 17 October 2020I had an external hard drive that crashed with eight years of pictures we made while traveling throughout Canada and the US. Fields Data Recovery was able to restore 90% of the pictures. I was very pleased by their service. Before I retired I had worked in data processing for 35 years and have used data recovery from different companies but this has been the best.

United States | 16 October 2020My 10 year old NAS device had failed and I could no longer access the data on the drive. It contained thousands of family photos, some of which had not yet been backed up to a secondary device. Fields Data Recovery provided clear communication and regular updates throughout the process to investigate and resolve the issue. I was able to get all of the files back in pretty short time and was very happy to have regular update and follow up phone calls to make sure I knew what was happening, verify the recovered data was received, and that I was satisfied with the work. Very pleased and would definitely recommend.
