United States | 06 November 2024We have comfort in knowing that our home is protected against major repair work. A/C replaced when required and no questions asked. However, we live in Rocky Mount NC, and the closest contractor was in Raleigh, 60 miles away. Our service could have been completed much quicker if there was a contractor in Rocky Mount available.

United States | 05 November 2024Scam scam scam. Do not work with this company. They lie and say people come out and fix your equipment when no one ever comes out. This is the worst company we have ever had to deal with. How they are still in business is beyond me

United States | 05 November 2024I never had any trouble using 1st American Home Warranty and they always send out a well-known company to supply your needs.

United States | 04 November 2024Anthony with optimum appliance repair did an excellent job repairing our Samsung washer. He is professional, knowledgeable, efficient and prompt with communication. He evaluated and diagnosed the problem immediately, and he knew what part to order to fix the problem - he even came on a Saturday to finish the job. Both FAHW and Optimum are highly recommended.

United States | 03 November 2024I recently requested a repair for my KitchenAid cooktop through First American Home Warranty, as one of the burner regulators had stopped working. They assigned a third-party repair company, Ago Appliance, demonstrated a lack of experience and professionalism. The technician asked me not to observe him during the repair process, and, unfortunately, he caused further damage to my cooktop by breaking another burner regulator and damaging the main plate while attempting to remove screws. After three separate repair visits over a three-week period, the issue remained unresolved. When I contacted FAHW to express my concerns about the service quality, I was told that my only options were to continue with the same contractor or abandon the repair altogether, as no alternative technician would be provided. To make matters worse, Ago Appliance damaged the downdraft blower, which they refused to fix since it was not covered under the warranty. Given this experience, I will not be renewing my warranty with FAHW once it expires. It feels as though the company prioritizes profit over quality service, leaving customers to bear the consequences of inadequate repairs. I hope this feedback encourages a reevaluation of FAHW’s commitment to customer satisfaction and service quality. Avoid FAHW at any costs! This is a bogus business

United States | 03 November 2024I am following up on a previous review. This company is horrible. After missing time from work because First American failed to comply with their contract. Forced me to take off because the contractor had limited hours 8am - 12pm. They continue to disappoint with how they are currently handling work completed. I have been receiving calls daily from the contractor stating that I am responsible for payment of the my replacement hot water tank. This again is ridiculous when my deductible has been paid over a week ago. The contractor stated that First American told him that I as the customer was lying and I confirmed that I would cover the cost of the repair. Currently, the contractor First American hired still haven't been paid for the work he was dispatch to complete. This is a awful way to treat your customer of 4years and contractor of 2 years so horrible. After being a customer for over 4 years I can't image renewing my contract with a company with such poor business practices.

United States | 02 November 2024It was easy to submit the claim and the response was very rapid. The contractor was honest and did a great job

United States | 02 November 2024I have been FAHW customer for many years. I had a problem with my water softener which led to the reduction of water pressure in the entire house. The water softener is 10+ years old. Opened case last week and they send a contractor. The contractor showed up and started his inspection. Five minutes into the conversation with the contractor, I noticed that he did not know the basics of water softener. He did not know about resin and how one can bypass water softener. 2 days later, FAHW closed the case by even denying the coverage. I canceled my contract them and now putting this review out to inform people of the poor quality of service they offer. They work hard to deny coverage and reject claims.

United States | 02 November 2024I don't know how long this whole process is going to take but we are have the worst time with first home warranties call centers. Big red flag. The contractor they sent to our house is a mess and our claim is just a game of ping pong going back and fourth, when I am telling everyone the plumbing issue clear as day, but first home warranty and the plumber contractor they are using are playing who can be dumber and hopefully not handle or re-deny our claim. Save your self the hassle and maybe find a warranty that you can 1 easily contact and 2 have a contractor that can handle situations 3 make sure your warranty clearly communicates simple situations and solutions with their contractors well so you don't need to take multiple days off of work for them to come again and again and again.... I am losing my mind with their outdated and inefficient system meant to make you give up ... Update We did have happy plumbing out twice and they gave two different responses. I did not enjoy how you guys and happy plumbing dealt with us over the phone. My partner and I had to miss too much work for us to viably accept anymore "diagnostics". I put more study and personal time into the matter and resolved the matter myself. Unlike what happy was repeatedly pushing for, we did not have to "blow open the walls" to find the issue and it infact was not the pex lines in magically turning galvanized.

United States | 02 November 2024I requested for my refrigerator to get fixed as it stopped working. First American home warranty has contracted out 4 different contractors none have been able to fix my refrigerator. I am going on 8 weeks now and they can't seem to get my refrigerator fixed and they have not been very responsive on getting it resolved. I have had them for 4 years now paying for this warranty that they can't seem to honor as I have called multiple times and every time I get the round about and no one ever seems to help speed up the repair. Agents have said they would request for replacement since it has been so long but they get denied stating still waiting on parts. Honestly I don't think the contractor they assigned has been able to get the parts and just keep pushing the time frame out. I am very disappointed on the customer service and more on no being able to fix/replace my fridge in a timely manner. as I said I have had a non working refrigerator for 8 weeks and the company does nothing to escalate a repair/replacement. It would be nice if they where helpful in getting it resolved but so far they have not.
