United States | 31 October 2024I called in a repair for a pool repair and was serviced by Aquabrite. A few days later I had problems with the repair and requested a recall order. I was then billed for a second service. I called today and was on hold for 15 minutes but was able to get the second charge refunded. FAHW's web site is designed to insulate you from customers. There is no longer any way to send a message from the site. I've had FAHW for 16 years and expect better. Not to mention that your call service is outsourced to another country and one often has difficulty understanding the agent. Check out your reviews on FaceBook and maybe stary being more customer accessible.

United States | 30 October 2024I pay a ridiculous amount for this home warranty and the first time I use them they send a contractor out who does the easiest part of the plumbing job and said he would need authorization to do the rest. Contractor would not respond after trying to call text for over a week and a half. I called First American Home warranty to tell them my ordeal and they said they are going to expedite my claim and assign a claim manager to my account who will contact the contractor and proceed with the repair. Needless to say I had to call the contractor who I could tell didn’t want to do the job in the first place and he said oh I just got an email from First American Home Warranty I need to call them and I will call you back. 20 mins later I get an email with a response from First American home warranty saying that it’s not “covered” and it will be an additional $1,425!!!! I could have just saved my money and paid for this myself to be renovated. Sounds like to me the whole thing is a scam and I won’t be renewing my contract! Hard to get ahold of anyone and when you need them they pass the money back off to you! What’s the point of having coverage when they are gonna make you pay yourself. I’m a 100 percent Disabled Veteran I can’t afford that, hence the reason for this “home warranty.” Shame on FAHM. Response to FAHM response: this contract sent from your company did not look at the bathroom and did not see what the problem was in the wall in the bathroom. Yet comes up with some astronomical number?!! He did the bare minimum with the kitchen sink and even reused old parts. He had an attitude and acted like he didn’t want to even do the work. I think you guys should vet these companies a little more. This should have been covered! It’s the cold/hot valves that need replacement not the entire lines in the walls he never took time to even look at!! You guys want to pay the cheapest job but when it comes to the crooked companies you send out they try to gouge the customers. So again you don’t know the full story. I don’t want the guy even coming back, in the mean time I still have leaky valves thanks First American Home Warranty. I’m cancelling and hope others take the time to read this. I’m sharing this with my Veteran organization which will reach a lot of people. We are good at making sure to help Each other and keep each with honest companies that do right by the customer. First time I used my home warranty and you guys deny it and say it’s not covered. SAD what greed does. I’m sick of paying for something that doesn’t do anything when I need the service. PS…also never heard from the Service manager that was “SUPPOSE” to contact me. It’s impossible to get anyone to contact and help me. The call center says they are expediting and also assigning my issue to a claiming manager that will assist me. Yet to talk to one 3 weeks later.

United States | 30 October 2024Our repairman, Sergei, was great—professional, knowledgeable and friendly! He quickly diagnosed our problem with the dishwasher, but we had to wait for the part to be delivered, which is understandable. It took a long time to make an appointment initially. We were put on hold a long time whenever we called. The first repairman never showed which made us late for an appointment because he never let us know he wasn’t coming and we waited past his expected arrival. All is good now, because of such a good experience with Sergei, but we do not want to go through the initial hassle again!

United States | 29 October 2024Two weeks ago my refrigerator started leaking. Called the warranty company and they sent someone out in two days. He diagnosed it and said he had to order parts. They never follow up or keep you informed. I have to call each time to find out what the next let down will be. After a week i call to get an update and they say the parts arent in. He orders new parts and havent heard from them since. It now over two weeks and I have no resolution and no refridgerator. Customer service and follow up is horrible. I feel like they are ignoring me and always on hold for 30 min when I call.

They came out and installed the ceiling fan one day and came back when the heating ceiling fans were in from Home Depot

United States | 27 October 2024I submitted my claim and got pushback right away, I asked to speak to someone else, still no action. I finally told the rep to cancel my account. After that he told me he could escalate the claim. A day later he called me told me that they would cover the plumbing part of the repair only. Better than nothing.
