Horrible company!!! Agents are out of US and barely speak English. They contract with the worst repair companies. Our dishwasher has been broken for 2 months and FAHW has done nothing but employ various delay tactics

I recently canceled my First American Home Warranty contract after being denied coverage twice for two separate issues. In my most recent experience, I had a plumbing issue where the water barely trickled out of my bathtub faucet. I thought this would be covered like any reasonable person, as it's a clear plumbing issue. However, they denied my claim, citing a fine print clause that states if something is blocking the water flow in the freshwater line, they won't cover it. Seriously? Isn't that precisely what a plumber is supposed to fix? It feels like they're using technicalities to avoid honoring claims. This is the second time they've denied me coverage for basic home repairs that anyone would assume a home warranty would cover. I paid $100 for a plumber to come out and spend 30 seconds shooting a video of my faucet issue, and not one hour later, American First Home Warranty reached out to say they were denying my claim. What a joke. I am thoroughly disappointed. First American Home Warranty might sound good at first, but when it comes time to actually use it, don’t be surprised if they find a way to deny your claim. It's ridiculous. I won’t be recommending them to anyone.

I had a plumbing problem, a camera was required to detect leak - no leak was detected because they did not use a camera or see a leak - and my claim was denied and further they excluded plumbing coverage for what they did not see - based on evidence of past leaks - on a 100 year old house! This company is a scam and you cannot cancel your coverage when they stiff you with their lies. BEWARE - DO NOT BY FROM THESE CROOKS!

FAHW sent out a HVAC contractor who fixed the capacitor but then said he would remove the part if I did not pay a $600 cleaning fee. I called FAHW and they didn’t seem surprised and said I would have to wait until all the paperwork came in. I told them I had a receipt for a real HVAC company who cleaned it 4 months ago, didn’t matter. I just fixed it myself once I knew what was wrong. I then looked up the contractor, he was not licensed in TX. Once again, call FAHW, figured they would want to know, once again not surprised. Had a different HVAC company out for a separate issue a few months later, they used to be FAHW contractors, they left them because they trained them to charge cleaning fees so customers would not make more claims.

Insurance co Couldn't find anyone to come out, but allowed us to. Repair was garage door belt. Repairman found under warranty/ ordered no cost, but at installation could not fix motor . Staff quick to respond/ advise/ approve quote. Payment refunded to us wthinin a week. Staff courteous- excellent company
