United Kingdom | 20 October 2021Have been using NWH waste collection services for few years now, was never extremely great service but was ok. However, since June 2021,the service went downhill to the point where we are trying to cancel our contract and still receive no response from the customer service team! It all started with bins being not picked up in time, sometimes 4/5 days at the time, sometimes more than a week. With every month the times were increasing, reaching to three weeks of no bin pick ups! We are located in a busy area and this has put us in an extremely terrible position: overflowing bins, smell that caused issues with neighbours and the council. Considering that we have no way to control this, it puts us in a extremely terrible position. More than terrible service, we had to make numerous phone calls trying to track down why pick ups were not done, and when we can expect it to happen- always just empty promises and no communication after that. Also, to top it up, we were charged for all no pick ups as usual, up till date invoices were not fixed. Terrible customer service and attitude from the company.

I now have my skip booked for next Monday, with Rachel's help, so all that I need to do is fill it when it arrives (that will be the hard bit!)

United Kingdom | 07 July 2021I’ve found myself having to write this review as customer service has been dreadful- have now raised issues multiple times and I’ve not even had a call, email, text….any sort of response to address any of my concerns or to even just to apologise. I signed up with NWH at the start of the year when they came round to my business, everything sounded great and we explained our needs. Our bins arrived - holes in them and had rotten raw chicken in the bottom of one along with lots of other waste! This was resolved but took a couple weeks to get a key that we asked for many times. This should have been the first red flag. Bins were replaced, got a key dropped off and everything seemed fine until we moved premises in May. Duty of care was set up and uplifts were arranged. The issues started here as uplifts were consistently missed and we had piles of rubbish and bin bags laying around our workshop, which ain’t nice. After being promised this was resolved multiple times we have just faced the same issues since!! In May I received an invoice where we were charged for 6 uplifts that simply didn’t happen and also excess waste for one of the lifts - who knows how that one was worked out as no one has explained this to me yet. This is when I raised my concerns with NWH via the telephone I was met with a stinking attitude by a woman I’m sure was called Pam, who had no people skills and certainly doesn’t know how to speak to someone with respect. So I then had to contact my original sales team member to raise these concerns! I wrote all of these on an email and in that email I asked for this invoice to be amended and not to take the large amount of money by DD, I was assured this would happen. Nope, full amount taken by DD and I then asked for this to be refunded(15/06), it took two attempts to be credited correctly and I’m still waiting on a refund and a response(07/07). Do you guys have a customer service department? I guess not as… Well, we’re now in July and our bins are again overflowing and uplifts have been missed. It’s been nearly three weeks since our bins were collected and we’ve received another invoice with another collection that didn’t happen? Contacted NWH on Monday about this and still have had no reply, bins still aren’t collected and my previous invoice still has not been refunded. I’m actually totally shocked at how difficult this has really been. We’re a small two person business, not even a year old who just went though a massive move to a new premise and these bins have put a humongous downer on all of it. I don’t understand how this has been this difficult. I didn’t want to leave NWH, pricing is good and I understand mistakes happen but this has been consistently bad. I’ve now asked for my contract to be cancelled as after the attitude I was met with over the phone after being incorrectly billed, no response to any of my emails to even just apologise or make any of this right and the fact I’m still waiting on a refund has just set in stone that I have no trust left with NWH. I hope this helps grow your business so you can deal with issues correctly in the future. You need to start replying and addressing your customers concerns, apologising and making sure their issues don’t happen consistently. If a customer is valued, you make things right for them. You need to start valuing your customers. I hope to hear a reply from yourselves soon and hopefully receive my refund ASAP, especially has it’ll be a month next week. Edit: There's now more to my bin saga! After writing this review I was contacted by NWH to resolve my issues. We spoke about it and I agreed to give them a second chance and we came to the agreement that I would come into my work early at 7:30am to present the bins to be emptied, first uplift to be on the 20/07. I was also asked to edit this review if I could. Yesterday I placed the bins outside at the allocated time, and it got to 6pm at night and still no one had came to empty them. Although, an NWH bin lorry had sat at the bottom of our road at around 1pm (we caught it on our dash cam as we headed to our suppliers and they were still there when we returned). I don't start my work till 10:30am, so I was pretty furious to have came into my work three hours early to be let down again. At 6:46am, my phone went this morning, woke me up - it was a driver from NWH and I checked the cameras so find a bin lorry outside! A day later than arranged and much earlier than agreed. I emailed NWH again, I got an apology and I was told I would be contacted to have my bins collected entirely. It's now nearly the end of another day (4pm on 21/07) and I haven't heard anything and the bins have now been cooking outside two days in a row. I also still haven't been refunded for the invoice of £142 worth mystery uplifts. I've been asking since the 15/06 (today is 21/07). I'm based in North Lanarkshire and I 100% recommend anyone to avoid NWH.

United Kingdom | 05 July 2021we had to undertake the removal and replacement of a level crossing up at dalwhinnie which involves the need for a varied amount of concrete needed at certain times and the service received from the spot mix provided by NW was top drawer the driver had no issues constantly being asked to move and set up for a 5 min discharge then away for about 40min for more for a full nights shift of about 7hrs. top notch service from the office from Tracey snedden and Colin Wilson and a big thanks to the driver .
