The owners of this company are dumping their own shares, that should tell you all you need to know!! They lie, they cheat, they steal! We prove concrete services, we got leads for painting footpaths!? Their product is not good at all. I asked about their trial period and they told me to pay $130 for 5 leads in the first month and I can try it out and if I cancel within 7 days I would get a refund, a few days later they told me because I accepted one of the leads, it voided my refund! But I told them at the start I will only pay if I can try it out!!! They also use google ads to get leads so you are better off getting a google ads expert and save your money! 100% a trash product!

Hipages as an air conditioning contractor is absolute joke . When I originally joined it was fantastic until last 2 years the prices charged for leads are way over inflated $48 - $150 and that is for small jobs with following up leads within minutes customers advised they have already been contacted by up to 10 businesses , we were under the impression only 3 leads were accepted . To add they advised I couldn’t be a sole trader and had to become a company so we changed to a company at a huge cost to us . My advice don’t fall for the dishonest sales reps who sign you up on 12 months contracts which you cannot cancel . DO NOT USE HIPAGES

I have been using HiPages for over 10 years, trusting their platform to connect me with qualified and vetted tradespeople. Unfortunately, my recent experience has shown that their vetting system is completely flawed, allowing unlicensed scammers to pose as reputable builders—and HiPages takes zero responsibility when things go wrong. A so-called "tradie" I hired through HiPages, Michael, falsely claimed to represent Aushomes Pty Ltd, listing their QBCC license and ABN on his HiPages profile. His invoices and receipts even carried their logo, making it impossible to detect the scam. After taking a $11,500 deposit, he abandoned the job, leaving my project in a disastrous state—poorly planned plumbing, incorrect fittings, and costly rework required. What’s worse? HiPages’ response was dismissive. Brittany, their Quality & Trust Officer, showed no accountability for the fact that their system failed to prevent a scammer from impersonating a legitimate business. When I raised my concerns about how Michael was listed on their portal without proper verification, I received no answers—just an indifferent attitude. The reality is anyone can claim to be a qualified tradie on HiPages, even without a license or proper credentials, and unsuspecting customers will be left to deal with the financial and emotional consequences.

Customer service and your account manager are absolute jokes. I used to pay $800 a month. With that i could accept at least 15 leads average price $60. Now with that i can't even apply for 5leads because price went up to $170 a lead out of nowhere!! And only if you are lucky you will get a response from the customer. Don't forget 3 tradies will pay for a lead regardless of being successful or not. While you lose your money, hipages make $450 in an instant doing f..all. They should rethink their pricing and how they customer services work. Otherwise this will not last long.

Have been on hipages for the past 5 years, it was good a couple of years ago, now it’s an absolute ripoff, $150-$250 to just accept the lead and most don’t even get back to you, I’d waste $600-$700 a month with people not even responding to me and most if not all don’t know that tradies pay for the the leads, I’d go months not getting a job and I signed up for 12 months unfortunately. You have to be on your phone to get the little work that does come through. Total waste of money.

Used it as a cabinet maker to get some work on the side. Biggest waste of time. Clients generally had no idea what they wanted but often used the words ‘cheap’ and ‘good quality’ which of course makes no sense. Any decent job was gone within seconds, the majority were over an hours drive away even though I specifically typed in within a certain radius. I wasn’t expecting much but this didn’t even meet my low expectations.

Hipages are good in theory. You want help...they find help. But not in my case. The cost to tradies etc to register and accept a job is a bit steep if the job is small. Probably hardly worth the petrol these days.I had 3 0r 4 (I forget now) but didn't get ONE call. Ask Dad to help...or live with it.

Plum It plumbing worst job ever. Didnt have stud finder, didnt have a drill for the mixer tap in my stone top for vanity, had to drive 45 min back to bathroom shop, wait 20 min to drill hole, and back again! didnt have plumbing part, I asked him to call Reece see if in stock, they did. He still refused to go get it, even though was 5 min drive next suburb bescuie he was in a hurry to get to the next job. I asked Maron to drill holes right height for the vanity, he didn't measure up first, now have to retile the back. When dispute arose over drillholes, he ripped out the flush button and ptrap toilet and tried to steal them, proceeded to ransom my items in exchange for partial payment (the parts ripped out so no payment was applicable in the end) He threatened to take steal my bathroom products and nearly did leave with my item, until I tried to get my items back for about 10 min. This is the worst I have ever faced with any trade

I called Service Today because powerpoints in the rear of our house were not working when we got back from holidays at the end of November. All the food in our freezer had spoiled as a result. The first thing the electrician told me upon arrival was that the first stage (the investigation stage) that I needed to sign up for then and there was going to be $600 to cover “around” an hours work. I was offered a cheaper option for the investigation stage but that only allowed for much less time than the $600 option and he didn’t recommend that option: -He then spent 20 minutes or so “working” (5 minutes of that time was spent talking to someone on his mobile about another job). -The next 10 minutes or so was spent trying to convince me to sign up for the next “stage” which he said involved very complex work like “removing powerpoints” [surely removing powerpoints, for a qualified electrician, is not “complex” and is very much routine work ?]. -That next stage was going to be an extra $500 and I was told that there would likely be further stages before the problem was resolved. -At that point I realised that this was clearly all high pressure selling tactics designed to extract the maximum (in fact quite exorbitant) amounts of money from me to possibly fix the problem. I then told the electrician that I was most unhappy - like most people I don’t like being ripped off. I asked him what his hourly rate was because I was used to paying hourly rates as then I could see what I was paying for. He said that they don’t work on hourly rates as “they are not good” (I assume he meant “not good for him”). -I then said that I was not comfortable in proceeding any further and wanted to terminate the work. He again tried to get me to sign up to the next stage - I said to him there was no way I was going to sign up to the next stage if the $600 first stage only got me 20 minutes of electrical work. He then “generously” agreed to reduce the charge for the first stage to $375. I reluctantly paid him and told him to leave. So I got 20 minutes of work and paid $375. That works out to be an hourly rate of over $1,000 ! There are surgeons who charge less. If I had stuck with Service Today I would have had to pay at least $1,100 (most likely a lot more) to only identify the problem, not fix it. I subsequently contacted a local electrician who came and found the problem and remedied it and also did other works including fixing downlights and installing a new LED ceiling light for a little over $600. This was a reasonable price for the work done. If I had stuck with Service Today and got them to do that scope of works I am sure it would have cost over $2,000. This company preys on vulnerable people and uses high pressure selling tactics to try to get you to sign up to exorbitant charges. Steer clear of them and find a local tradesperson.

I hired J&A Painting (Jake and Alex) to paint the outside top area of my house and paid in good faith. I have since contacted them by email twice with no reply. The job they did is so bad. Two windows do not open anymore. The fly screens are broken. There is paint splatter and overspray everywhere including my paving, outdoor furniture, BBQ cover and hose. They clogged up my stormwater outlet by washing their equipment into it. These guys are cowboys and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone This review is for the innocent people out there that may think of hiring them Gail Rye

Amazing platform for finding tradespeople you would not ordinarily be able to connect with - if like me, you are not that handy. I’ve logged 3 jobs with Hipages and all tradespeople have been not just lovely people, but done a great job. Super impressed 🌟

Run fast and run far. Really shoddy customer services. Got called to put me on trial for 21 days, however after two weeks, Ben working from hipages called and tried to be pushy into changing from trial to paid subscription per lead. However, when asking if 21 days trial period was not over yet , he threatened to cancel the service as the lead credit was claimed enough which wasn't mentioned in the first place and he did. Also out of 10 leads claimed 9 leads were taken and 1 lead was required by the client to come to the place for inspection and quote. The worst thing that happened was the client stood me up after an hour to get to there with no apologies, only said they were not there. That's all there's to it.

Lonsdale truck hire rented out to me a truck that couldn't drive past 80 KMs due to needing a wheel alignment l guess. I didn't drive at 100 km as l hoped as to get back in time. I've been hiring trucks for 17 or so from them and never did l get a smile from anyone there. and now l know why, they rip people off and reap what they sow. 250 dollars they took from me out of a 500 bond. They charged me 6 dollars a litre to top up the petrol that l couldn't fill up before returning because l was already late due to driving slow. I was reassured everything would be fine from Paul that l could keep the truck over night because of the steering wheel shaking but l took it back round 7 that night having to work in the morning. I should have taken truck back straight away but I had 1 day off work to move and being already on the road l kept going. This company would have known about the problem but they thought they would rip of a women and that they did. I am a hard worker so disappointed they couldn't see l was supporting their business all those years.
