Had a great experience with scout, the only company throughout my house move that really helped and stuck to their word, regular calls from my broker and his assistants. Very affordable and great advice

I first started using Oliver Mitchell at Scout Financial Services because I was receiving a very poor service from a prior mortgage broker, who was slow to respond, never answered the phone, and kept having me apply for mortgages through lenders that seemingly had no intention of lending. Because of the state of the property market at the time I was searching, and because I knew how much pressure everyone involved in the property industry and industries tangential to property was likely under at the time, along with prior poor past experiences, I'll be honest in saying that I had rather low expectations in terms of the service I expected to receive. I was then surprised to find that, contrary to expectations, Oliver and the team at Scout Financial Services were brilliant - always contactable, always able to explain complex financial jargon in simple layman's terms, and always eager to advise on the best ways forward. I wouldn't go to anybody else.

Oliver Mitchell was extremely professional, pro active and supportive throughout the whole process. Oliver and kayleigh were great throughout the whole process and were quick to conduct everything. Even after my offer was approved, Kayleigh would call me once every 10 days or so just to make sure everything was going well which was nice.

I am glad that I went with Scouts to get my mortgage sorted. The whole process was made very simple for me, everything was explained clearly, communication was always on point! I can only say good things about Aimee McEwan. Aimee has nothing but pleasure to work with, Tom sorted me out with a mortgage and Aimee kept in constant contact asking how it's going, if I needed any help or advice etc. When the deadline was nearing the responses never wavered and any documents that had to be supplied last minute (due to solicitors being slow) were always sent on time. 5+ stars Aimee!

If I can rate Scout 0 stars I would. Chelsey and Jamie and the rest of the team at Scout lack communication and are by far the worst company to go with if you’re looking for a mortgage. I was told I couldn’t get a mortgage via email after making an application and being refused. When I questioned Chelsey about next steps she left me in the lurch stopped returning my emails and messages and just completely gave up on me and left me in tears. I managed to find another broker who I was about to get a mortgage with and with a high street bank. Something I was told I couldn’t get as my husband has a settled CCJ for a very small amount. Please stay clear of these people. They lack communication and none seems to pick up their phones or respond to emails in a timely manner.

Lee & Kayleigh were both excellent in finding us the right mortgage, they kept us informed and updated at every step of the way. Lee took the time to come and see us over a few times, to go through all the information and different products on offer. We weren't the easiest of customers but he got answers to us very quickly to any questions we had or updates we needed. Kayleigh was also always at the end of the phone and really helpful! I would 100% recommend to anyone!

Used Scout to source a mortgage and life insurance. It has been a long process, and almost there, thankfully. Nick and Lee from Scout were superb, often ringing at weekends on their time off to update us on our Mortgage with Accord. When any hiccups arose, they swiftly sorted them out. I will use Scout again when it comes to remortgaging, as I very much appreciated the empathy shown to us and the clear, no-nonsense language. I was in the past anti-paying a fee, but the £250.00 I spent was worth every penny and saved a lot of stress in sourcing a mortgage.

The team have been the friendliest, nicest, informative professionals I’ve dealt with during the whole process of buying my first home. They’re efficient with queries, check in regularly but not in a pestering way. Anything we didn’t know they took the time to explain thoroughly to make sure we were happy.
