United Kingdom | 05 August 2024I had to make a claim, which was easy & fast. But the renewal was double the price

United Kingdom | 05 August 2024Hoops to jump through are painful. Claim was paid in full was relatively prompt. However, for a dog that was not bitten anybody has her ongoing third party insurance negated. This was from the vet’s notes saying that she reacts to handling and, at times, has needed a muzzle in their care as a precaution.

United Kingdom | 30 July 2024I was charged a £10 late payment fee and was advised that the money could not be collected. Having checked my bank there were no attempts or notifications of a failed payment. I advised them to try again whilst I had them on the phone and they said it would only be tried in a few days time. I do not recommend this company as they will take extra money from you.

United Kingdom | 15 July 2024Very strange company have decided that both ears are effectively one so will not cover a condition treated last month due to an unrelated issue four years ago (not claimed for) in the other ear. It doesn't seem to be the most ethical to say a persistent ear issue regardless of it being the other ear when it was last treated 4 years ago.

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024Refusal to pay out I only claimed twice. First time was easy but the second time my claim was refused - with the claims team deep diving into my pets history - where she was at one time overweight, but she is not any more. She is old for a rabbit and has stiff back legs, she needs pain medication for this and to make sure she is well enough for this medicine a blood test which are very expensive. Even though the vet wrote a supporting letter the claim was still refussed.

United Kingdom | 02 July 2024Tried to cancel auto renewal via email twice as it was 3 x more expensive than several PCW quotes. I had no response over a week later so phoned to cancel. On hold for 30 mins

United Kingdom | 27 June 2024Relatively easy to fill in claim forms, but the mix of Vet entries and owner entries could be made a little easier;- some of the answers duplicated, and some of the info already known by the insurer. Claim was processed, contracted excess deducted, and payment made around 4 weeks from date of claim. No hassle/grief to be fair.

United Kingdom | 12 June 2024The experience of using the insurance was easy for someone that’s never used a policy in their life! The payout went straight to my vet and they received it quite fast.

United Kingdom | 07 June 2024I recently made a claim for my cat's blood tests. The insurance company told me they had received the claim from the vet (it can take a while for the vet to send it in). It then took a week for the claim to be agreed. I was sent an email informing me how much I would receive and the money was in my bank account a week later. I like the way I was kept informed about the progress of my claim

United Kingdom | 06 June 2024I bought a cavalier puppy 6 months ago and insured her with 4paws, over the months we began to see that she was possibly not a pure Cavalier, we decided to get a dna done and found out that she was actually mixed breed. I called 4paws and advised them, next morning I received a email stating the policy was cancelled and I would be refunded my premium due to 4paws not insuring mixed breeds to the price I had paid for the puppy. That didn’t bother me so much although an inconvenience. As I had been a 4Paws customer for over 5 years and didn’t want to change provider. Phoned them and asked to take out a new policy changing the details to Mixed Breed and value to under £500. Was told it could not be done under any circumstances as underwriters would not allow it, was told that I would have to go with another provider. Customer Services no help at all just didn’t want to know.
