United Kingdom | 13 February 2024Do not insure rabbits! As all rabbits suffer bouts of stasis and pain; either post neutering, stress on bonfire night, teeth etc… this will dismiss any future claims that have ‘pain’ even if this is a new & unrelated illness.

United Kingdom | 06 February 2024Once details my pets problem from Vet available it all went through in a straightforward way.

United Kingdom | 06 February 2024I have sadly been a victim of inadequate advice, care and coverage at the hands of 4 Paws. My cat had a UTI infection once during the first year of his life and has never had a repeat. (He's now 13). He was admitted to the vet for treatment to unblock his bladder following a UTI in late December 2024. Unfortunately, he required multiple unblocks and finally an operation to prevent further blocks. I contacted 4 Paws for help and advice throughout, once even whilst on the way to the vet for reassurance of coverage. Each time their response was they give themselves 10 working days to respond to claims. How can a pet owner be expected to make health care decisions without knowing whether or not you as an insurer will not shy away from the claim? 4 Paws claim that having once has a UTI and treatment to break down crystals 12 years ago that this a pre-existing condition and predates taking out the policy 2018. To take out the policy 4 Paws requested clinical history and at no point was it explained that there were any conditions excluded from my policy. Then why request the history? Surely as an insurer, they have a duty of carer to advise on a specific policy-to-policy basis. I feel deeply let down by their lack of guidance, how they handle claims and find it disgusting that they take so long to make a decision which ultimately would have meant I’d have made alternative health decisions for my cat. Do not be fooled! I gladly paid a premium for Life Premium coverage to enough my cats well-being but 4 Paws coverage is fickle and leave you out in the cold with a huge bill to pay for.

United Kingdom | 23 January 2024We attended our vets on several occasions and then put our claim into 4paws for a refund. We provided all the correct paperwork and receipts through our Vets then approx 3 weeks later we had our money in our account. What a fabulous result no quibbling, no dragging their heals looking for more paperwork they were Gr8. Thank you very much.

United Kingdom | 19 January 2024Would give 0 stars if I could. It has been over 6 weeks since I first submitted a claim for my cat's treatment when he suddenly contracted a UTI, I have called the call center multiple times (waiting 15-20 mins each time to be connected) and while the customer service advisors are very nice, all they can say is that my claim is with the assessment team. Who knows how many more weeks and phone calls this will take, no one in the call center can tell me anything other than that they have flagged it for the internal team to review. Shocking service. I have also received several automated emails telling me various untrue things (that my claim was rejected, that they need more information), which prompted further phone calls, only to be told, sorry that was an automated email, we don't need anything and your claim is still under review.

United Kingdom | 18 January 2024I have made several claims this year for my cat as her problems arising from being run over several years ago have got worse with age. They have all been settled without any issue. Also would like to say how lovely the people you speak to on the phone are.

United Kingdom | 17 January 2024My 2 year old dog was recently taken very poorly, after visiting the vet everyday for 4 days he had to be transferred to a specialist over night clinic for 2 nights, thankfully they operated and he is now recovering. 4 Paws settled the large bills that we in incurred without question and with sensitivity, thanks 4 Paws 👍🏻

United Kingdom | 22 December 2023We made a claim about our dog's ailment which took about 3 months of various treatments to clear. About 5 claims relating to the illness were submitted at irregular intervals and in all cases the claims were promptly paid without any quibbling to our vets. An excellent service was provided by 4 Paws who kept us informed throughout about the progress of our claim.

United Kingdom | 17 December 2023Huge premium increases each year (last year was 30%!) when my pet has had no claims. Every year I get so affected by it, especially the last couple. My dog is only 5, and I’m already worried about how I’m going to able to afford to look after her. I feel like these companies know we have to stay with them to keep lifetime cover etc. and can therefore get away with crazy increases. Every year the increase is way more than inflation for no apparent reason. It breaks my heart.

United Kingdom | 15 December 2023Good service, but I feel the excess could be slightly lower, and the extra 15% because of my bunny's age seems a little mean to be honest.
