If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered on 30.01.2025. Delivery due 13.02.2025. Nothing turned up. When followed up told delivery would be 18.02.2025. Still nothing delivered. On the 19.02.2025 asked them to refund the order as they had failed to deliver twice. Told refund would be 5-7 days. On day 8 still no refund so contacted again to be told refund would be back in 3 days. Still non refund and now on day 4. This company are awful. They also told us they would be telephoning us with an update, twice and we never received any calls.

If you contact their customer services you’ll always get an answer from someone different and more often than not the second person will say that the first person was wrong! They never read back on the case and even when they actually do phone you - sometimes promised, often forgotten - I managed to find one helpful case manager whose helpfulness was immediately undermined by the next person who seemed to take delight in making things as difficult as possible. Don’t buy an expensive item because you may come to regret it!

Ordered a cooker hood from them on Wed 26th Feb and paid for it. I received confirmation that I could collect it from their Huddersfield location on 3rd March. I moved things around to make sure I could collect. At 14:30 I called them as I'd not received any confirmation notice to say my item was ready for collection so I called them. They then told me, the product was available mid April. I've wasted my time and my electricians time. What an absolute waste of space this firm is.

I recently ordered a new oven and fridge, the delivery date was scheduled and a 4 hour time slot was arranged. I also paid for the removal of old appliances and any packaging from the delivery, installation of the new appliances, and finally to have the hinge on the fridge swapped over. Appliances Direct, like many other companies, outsource their couriers, and when the courier arrived he informed me that they did not carry appliances up stairs, he said they were not insured to do that so would not be able take the appliances up 2 floors unless the building had a lift, which it does not. The courier recommended that, on my end, I find a way to get the new appliances up the stairs and the old appliances down the stairs and, on their end, Appliances Direct would call me to rearrange installation, removal of old appliances, and fridge door maintenance… they did not call, I had to call them and inform them of the situation. I have 2 things to say at this point; The first is an observation, which is that I don’t feel there is very good communication between the courier (Bid Transport) and Appliances Direct, I could be wrong about this, but earlier on before the delivery time slot had been arranged I called Appliances Direct and asked them to try and make sure the delivery would be after 12pm as I might not be there and they told me that they had made a note but it might not get passed on to the courier. This ended up being the case because the order arrived at about 11:15am. The second observation is that I don’t recall reading or being told anywhere at any point that items could not be delivered up stairs, when I asked about this I was told by someone at Appliances Direct that there is a policy that they only deliver to ground floor flats unless there is a lift. This isn’t stated anywhere so essentially, if you’re someone like me, you just have to find out the hard way. I managed to get the old appliances down the stairs and the new appliances up the stairs, albeit with a fair amount of difficulty, and arranged a new date for the rest of the services that had yet to be carried out. This date came and, unfortunately, I missed the courier’s call and a call from Appliances Direct. By the time I had called them back, which was just over an hour after the missed calls, the new courier had left and cancelled the job and when I called Appliances Direct I was told that they had also cancelled the job because it had already cost them a lot of money. I reminded them that I had paid for services that had not been carried out that totalled over £300 so I understood that it cost them to send another courier out but I don’t think that it was my fault that the first courier left in the first place. I have received a full refund for all of the services that were not carried out and I do appreciate that but I have not enjoyed my experience with Appliances Direct, it has not been simple or easy and I’m now left with the issue of sorting out the disposal of 2 appliances that have been left in communal spaces.

I bought my induction hob from them 3 years ago, and at purchase they promised a 3-year warranty. The hob broke 2.5 years in, and I was worried that they wouldn't honour the warranty (I worried that they would claim I should have registered with the hob producer, even though they never asked me to), and when they referred me to an external company for the warranty to be serviced (Pacifica) I thought it was a ruse to eventually deny me service... but it wasn't: even though it took a while longer than I would have expected, my appliance was eventually fixed, so thanks AD.

I purchase a smart toilet and it was due to me delivered. On Friday 28. I received 2 emails and a text informing me that it will be delivered between 12.27 and 17.27. (Very specific) at 18.00 the driver telephoned to say he will be 40 minutes. That is 18.40. I said the builders have left. Can you leave it by the door? No can you leave it inside the door it’s a block of flats? No I will leave and meet you there I should be there in 40 minutes, please don’t leave? No can you deliver tomorrow? No, it will be rescheduled for delivery on Monday. When will it be delivered? Don’t know. This is a joke company.

Absolutely disgusting levels of customer service - purchased 7 items, spending nearly £4,000, then paid extra for named date delivery. As I had received confirmation that delivery was arranged, I booked 2 workmen, both charging a days labour but, as the delivery hadn’t arrived, we contacted Appliances Direct, only to be told they had forgotten to arrange the delivery and it won’t now be arriving for a number of days! Refunded £25 towards delivery but weren’t interested that we are massively out of pocket for the mistake. I have bought lots over the years from Appliances Direct but I won’t be using them again. Whilst I understand the Companies stance in not booking workman, Appliance Direct confirmed delivery, which didn’t arrive so you have refunded deliver of £25 on a £4K order! More frustrating, you stated that the delivery would now be today, which, again is a false promise and broken contract! You have £4k of my money and have failed to delivery on two separate dates and you can’t now provide me with a factual delivery date. Absolute shambles of a Company and no one cares!!!

I purchased a cooker hood in October 2023. Installed the cooker hood in December 2023. This week February 2025, the motor has started to make a terrible vibration. Although outside of its 12 month warranty by 4 months an appliance should last longer than only 12 months of use (14 months from day of purchase). I advised Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products should be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose, and last a reasonable length of time. Clearly, 14 months is not a reasonable length of time for such a product to last. Appliances direct have been dismissive and advised to use a local repair agent to repair without any resolution to replace or repair.

Really frustrating experience with this company. I ordered an item which was in stock, but each day before it was due to be delivered I received an email rescheduling the delivery due to stock, this happened three times in a row. I phoned and customer services said they could not guarantee it would be available for the next delivery date either, nearly a month and a half after I ordered the item. At this point I had had to arrange three days off work to await the delivery and so I decided to cancel the order, because I couldn't face having it fall through again and keep living without the appliance indefinitely. The positive is that customer services were very easy to reach, but I was unhappy with the resolution.

I will be avoiding this company in future. My delivery was dumped on driveway 2 hours before timeslot at 7.55 am in front of the skip as this property is currently empty. Arrived at my timeslot to find only the pallet and packaging.. I have been back and forth and this joke of a company said if the item is delivered one way or another they will not issue a replacement or a refund,most idiotic thing I've heard for them to flout their responsibility. All the agents sound so generic on each call obviously reading off the script they are told to adhere to. 8 days of multiple calls and emails per day count for nothing with these. Will be avoiding at all costs. Some offers might be appealing with this company but definitely not worth the hassle of losing money and being out of pocket go to another well known purple logo company they will always price match these.

Am I being duped, I paid £343 for a fridge free since yesterday (26/02/25) afternoon and I was promised delivery between 12pm-2pm today (27/02/205). Up till this moment no update about my delivery. They directed me to the delivery company Arrow XL, they told me that their truck broke down and no guarantee of delivery. It 7pm already and still no sign of delivery.

Appalling customer service!! :-( Have had a faulty/broken dishwasher since December, Three Engineer visits saying it's fixed then it breaks down again the next day!! Numerous phone calls were made and promised callbacks but nothing. Still an ongoing issue now, I do not have the time to keep calling and chasing. Asked for a refund nothing DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! We have spent £1000's with this company as a business!!! Never again!!! 28.02.25 Guess what!!!!! no phone call within two hours like promised; this is getting beyond boring now, JUST REFUND THE MONEY so we can buy from a decent company with a decent customer service. Next step OFCOM!!!

There's always an issue when it comes to returns with a faulty item. When ever you order from this company u will have to take a day off from work to receive the item from dpd. I had to lose out on a day's work just to receive the item . The heater only worked for 1 week I now have to pay 20.00 to send it back the item is fault how is this fair.
