I have delayed writing a review on my Furo X and FuroSystems until now as to give others the most accurate and honest review I can. I originally went 4 stars (great) but excellent is 5 stars and that is exactly what they deserve. So 6 months on from purchasing my Furo X here it is. Firstly the bike itself - love it, actually love it. As a commuter with little interest other than getting from A to B in on piece my needs are fairly basic - some road, some cycle track (poorly maintained thank you York City Council!) rather hilly. The bike eats hills for breakfast and I can zip past others panting away slogging their guts out wondering what the problem is - and then I remember I have the quietest and most inconspicuous e-bike out there! I love leaving car drivers for dust at traffic lights when the motor kicks in, its the little things! I have actually fallen in love with cycling thanks to this bike and just like to go everywhere and anywhere I can on it now. Folds nicely and sits in my house, although relatively light for an e folder would not want to be lugging it up and down stairs and on and off trains everyday but that was never going to be my primary concern. Brakes and gears are top quality and it is the little things that set it apart from cheaper folders such as the teardrop seatpost that stops your saddle turning and has numbers on it so I can set it right every time - seems trivial but really helps the X rise above the rest. I spent a long time looking at e folders and do not regret my decision to buy at all even given the premium price point. I also liked the idea of supporting a small growing company that deserve all the success they have because they are brilliant (more on that in a bit). Had to get my gears adjusted after a few weeks (normal) and the guy at my local bike shop loved the bike too, he said it kicks like a mule and it was nice to be able to pick an e-bike up at last without giving himself a hernia! The couple of niggles would be the saddle rack could do with a rubber pad as the first time I stood the bike up folded the paint was scraped off the rack by the concrete, the main fold and catch will cease up if not kept lubricated (lesson learnt) and I wish I had plumped for the bigger battery as once the battery power indicator drops to half I notice a lack of responsiveness from the motor. Its a shame the lights are not integrated, they run on batteries which I don't like, rechargeable would be better or just don't offer them as the front light is pretty useless anyway, I removed mine and the bike looks much sleeker now. None of these would stop me recommending this bike wholeheartedly and would love to try one of the new eTuras as a more multi-modal city commuting option. Secondly and just as importantly is the service and the people at FuroSystems themselves, after all why would you buy long distance from a company with no presence in your local bike shop? That was my biggest concern, the support should I need it. As it turns out I did need support (twice) and the team were amazing on all counts. When the bike arrived the battery charging port was damaged - I was so sad not to be able to use my new bike out of the box but after a quick email there was no quibble and the battery was replaced in a couple of days, couldn't ask much more. They were extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to sort the issue as quickly as humanly possible. Everything went well for the next 5 months until one dark night in December I was merrily going up one of my hills and I get an ERROR message, the motor cuts out and I am back to pedalling manually - I had forgotten how awful that was! As before the email support from Manzi was great, unfortunately I couldn't be too specific on the error as it was dark and I didn't know there was one of a few codes on the screen designed to diagnose the error. With it being Xmas and New Year time I was told that they could collect my bike and fix under warranty but it wouldn't be until mid January, NOOOOOOO!!! The effortless pedalling on an e-bike has helped my restless leg syndrome and plantar fasciitis no end but after 2 days of manual pedalling the pain was back with a vengeance. After another email Manzi kindly posted out the suspected faulty part 1st Class on the 23rd December which arrived on the 28th, I fitted myself (dead easy) and it fixed my problem! Typically my issue occurred at the worst time of year when you can't just pop to your local shop to get it fixed so the speed I got up and running again exceeded my expectations and had it been any other time of year I am sure it would have been even quicker! So all in all the support from the team has been exceptional and this for me is what sets them apart from the competition and is a huge factor in deciding to make a purchase from them, a decision I most definitely do not regret. In summary a great bike from a great company that you can have confidence in supporting you when, and if, you need it throughout your new e-bikes life. If you are on the fence about buying the X don't be, it's worth every penny!

Scooter looks cool and powerful at first sight. Unfortunately the quality is very poor. The main mount of steering column become lose after first ride, after tightening it holed for little longer however one bolt lost his thread and cannot be tighten anymore. The mount should be spread throughout the width of the board you stand on, not just 40mm wide, this will always fail. Front bolts of that mount unable to tighten without specialist tools because of extremely limited access. The toolbox given is a pure joke!!! 3 Allen keys and one spanner. If you need to change the tire you don't have any tools to remove the wheel and you can forger about removing the tyre without specialist tools obviously not included. Back fender made of too hard composite plastic and fell off broken after second ride. Tyre extremely poor quality. First of all unbalanced and at high speeds you could feel a huge discomfort. Second i was able to repair inner tube once, second time the reinforcement wire from tyre broke lose and the tyre was slipping from the alloy wheel. I tried to purchase better quality tyre but after buying 10x3.0 tyre from Michelin I received tyre almost twice as big as the original. I guess Chinese marking is different than European. The light is poor power and mount so you will end up buying your own. Unnecessary folded handles which move during the ride. At 40km/h makes ride really uncomfortable. Battery doesn't hold the power as well as advertised. At top speed you will do only about 10-12km. This is honest review, this things really happened and annoyed me for past few months. I still like the scooter though it is really fast but I worry i get hurt on it one day because of poor quality parts...

I have a Furo X foldable electric bicycle. It’s a great looking bicycle, it’s fairly light for an electric bicycle. Generally it’s got all the makings of a great bicycle save a few niggly bits which need to be resolved especially as I’ve had the bicycle less than six months with all these issues appearing. 1. The main handlebar axle which folds down becomes wobbly. I have asked for help from the help desk, but are not really proactive in helping! Frustrating. 2. The onboard computer is great, however mine has failed and does not show the speed any longer. Again the help desk keep asking me questions about what’s wrong with it clearly not wanting to take ownership of the issue which I have repeatedly asked for help. 3. It’s great they have a front light which is fixed, however this is easily bent. All problems can be fixed however I feel the Help desk have let me down and should be more proactive in dealing with these issues then perhaps I would give them more than an average Star rating. You would expect more for a purchase that costs you £1,800

I’m really pleased with the bike so far. Being in my seventies, I wanted something light and easy to use. It’s certainly both of these. It was also easy to fold and to adjust the saddle and handle bars.

A brilliant bike - incredibly easy to ride, even up and down the hills of Highgate, very solid and robust. Has transformed my cycling experience.

I am happy with the Furo Fuze, even though I was expecting higher quality: Suspensions are very noisy and are constantly squeaking and I would like to understand if this is expected or not. The range is also shorter than I expected: I used 3.5 bars out of the 5 (1.5 bars left) and I did only 20 km out of the 55 km claimed.

In summary (look further down for details): * Furo X is an awesome product, although there's room for improvement. * Support covers costs for bike repairs and replacements without any hassle. * Support answers any questions honestly and promptly. = 4 stars (-1 star for the beginning hassles and the potential for product improvement) I bought the Furo X with a 10.5 Ah battery and have gone about 500km thus far. I must say that I truly enjoy it - especially the quick acceleration and the chance to fold it and take it inside. However, it took some time to get there: * The bike came with minor damage to the painting from transport. Support offered to cover the expenses of buying paint. * After my first ride the bike developed creaking noises. This was a known problem with carbon fibre against steel and support covered the costs of lubrication and tightening at my local bike shop. * After about a week the pedals developed clicking sounds. The culprit was the plastic in the pedals, so I had them replaced by foldable steel pedals, which support covered partially. * I punctured the back tire quite early on, although this was expected to happen sooner or later. Nothing I blame Furo for. So after quite some trips to the bike shop, I feel like I have a solid bike that'll last a long time. I believe there's room for improvement on the basic setup, however: - As mentioned above: More effort into preparation (lubrication and tightening) before shipping; better foldable pedals. - The front and back lights have separate batteries and are not connected to the main power. - When folding the bike, if you're not gentle when putting the wheels together, the steel pins holding each wheel will touch and make a steely sound. - After having folded the bike, nothing keeps the wheels together. I use a rubber strap every time I fold it, but it'd have been great to avoid. - The standard way of carrying the bike once folded often exposes the chain and you have to be careful not to touch your clothes with it.

Extremely happy with my purchase of a Furo X. I was “sitting on the fence” for sometime and generally being indecisive over (a) whether to get an electric fold up and (b) if so which one. The guys at Furo answered all of my questions, gave me time to decide and did not push me to buy. They allowed me to have two trials of the bike which helped to inform my decision to buy. Having had my Furo X for 3 weeks now it’s the best thing I’ve done. I can cycle to from the stations (either end of my commute) without smashing my knees up or getting to hot and sweaty. I’m lucky enough to live in a triangle of stations so even if my normal train is cancelled I just pick another route knowing I can cycle with ease at the other end. I’m covering about 12 miles a day which I would say isn’t practical on a standard fold up, but on the Furo X it really is no problem. If you’re thinking of going for an electric fold up/commuter I would suggest you take a serious look at this bike. I’m now cycling more than I was before so everyone’s a winner in my book.

I can't fault my Furo X - very pleased. Delivery was quick and the bike only needed pedals and accessories to be attached. I've only been using it for a few days but it's been a pleasure to ride so far. Great that it comes with stand, rack and lights.

Got the Furo X, over 3 weeks ago. It was delivered with the standard battery, although I ordered the max. UPS who were suppose to deliver the correct battery failed to do so on the specified date. Wasted my time whole day waiting for them. Eventually, I did receive the correct battery. The folding position could be improved with magnets in place so that the bike/wheels to stay in place. I have clocked 214.4 km as of 7th August 2019. There is a crackling noise from the frame. This started after I cycled over 150 km.

Only used the bike a few times but I got up the Horseshoe pass on just 1or 2 on the motor (Plus some muscle power). Glad of the 20 " wheels on the way down when going at speed and no motor. Its a comfortable bike to ride so am using it for short trips without the battery.

I love the bike and have cycled 50 miles a couple of times on one charge. I enjoy cycling and only use the battery when on a hill. However it scared me when it started running without warning when I turned it in. It has only happened twice and I hope it doesn't happen again

Furo X MAX. The bike was delivered today after 5 business days from the online order; the manual included and the video on youtube helped me to assemble it quickly and easily; waited for the battery to be fully charged (3 hours) and took a short ride on my hilly area: it was good fun. Tomorrow I will go for a proper trip!
