I found that the person who took my call had an abrupt and unfortunate tone and was verging on being purposefully unhelpful. I was advised continually of what she could not do but in a patronising manner. I had to halt the call midway to get some specific info from my brothers GP and I advised that I did not appreciate the tone of the call - this was much improved during the second call albeit the same individual. I felt like I was a customer and worthy of some respect but not a good start.

We have chosen Free Spirit several times as it suits our situation. The annual travel insurance for a couple does not require us to live at the same address & allows us to travel independent of each other with full cover. Many other companies do not allow this.

Very helpful person on the end of the ‘phone: new policy issued without problems. However, as I’d recently bought cover for a separate break, and nothing in my lengthy medical declaration had changed, it would have been good If they could have utilised that. Seems it doesn’t work like that, though!
