I had difficulty with one part, filling in details of my trip. A quick call to the office and the person who answered the phone was very helpful and advised me what to do, after this the rest was easy to fill in.

Travelling to the USA when over 80 with pre-existing conditions, even though well controlled with medication, is a very expensive business! A few companies offer coverage for one-off trips but as we like to travel abroad 3 or 4 times a year we wanted to continue with the annual multi-trip policy for my wife and myself. Free Spirit was the only company contacted online who would entertain an annual policy and although there was a pretty hefty price tag, at least we can travel with the confidence that we have insurance cover. The prospect of having to fund a hospital stay in the USA doesn't bear thinking about, and it doesn't sound so bad when split into 4 trips and two people! Just have to regard it as part of the price of the holiday. The website is very easy to use and the convenience of doing it any time is a huge plus! If you can't get travel insurance cover through the standard companies, it's well worth giving Free Spirit a try, just clear your credit card first!!

In spite of my fumbling through our numerous pre -existing medical conditions when answers were needed to the questions put to me, Anna was extremely patient and helpful. She made the whole experience of buying our travel insurance almost a pleasure.
