I absolutely love my Model S from Electric Bike Company! It’s so cute and the sleek design turns heads wherever I go. It makes my commute to work much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

EBC has been extremely helpful, but after experiencing apparently the same battery/power problem twice, I'm beginning to think my Model-R has a built-in design problem - or two. Not good. I've had to send my battery back again, and apparently for the same reason - bad contacts. Sean also warned me not to set the bike for Class-3 as that's asking for power overheating problems. Wish I'd known that before. And if the bike really shouldn't be operated as Class-3, then it shouldn't have that option. Or the "problem" should be solved with better design or components. Too bad. I love the bike - when it works.

Took almost 3 months to receive the bike, which was longer than anticipated when initially purchasing the Model J. Second day out the bike kept shutting down randomly after 10-20 seconds with over 30% battery life. Called tech support and sent videos to try and figure out what was happening - no one had any idea. I’ve sent a follow up but still no response from “Blake” after I was told I would hear back in a couple days. As of now it seems to be working, but not sure I could recommend it to others currently.

The brakes went out and we took the bike back for repairs 3x. The first time-- my daughter tried to ride it out the door and it was still making the same noise. Second try-- I went with her and asked if they had ridden it to see if the noise was gone, "yes" they said. Not so. The daughter got on the bike to ride to her job and the same issue was still making noise. The tech got very frustrated and basically got super frustrated with the repair. Since she had to get to work, we asked for-and were given a demo bike to borrow until hers was fixed. 3 weeks later, we finally got a call to say the bike was ready. In addition to this, we had purchased a 2nd bike for our son and the day it was delivered 4 weeks later than promised0-- the chain fell off the bike riding it home. NOT cool for a $2500+ bike. I would make sure you do your research on bikes before buying from the EBC! Bummer, cause I want to support local.

Had some initial problems; the power meter never showed fully charged, and the accessories — Bluetooth speaker and cup holder — did not mount securely, slipping constantly. I called customer service after they ignored my email, and they didn’t like my original review, and we were able to reprogram the display to make the gauge accurate. However, the accessories come with inadequate ‘mounting rubber,’ or whatever you want to call the stuff in the box. There was not enough, and I finally had to rig my own mount using that and accessories I had left over from other bikes. Spoiler alert: if you get the light package with low/high beams, you CANNOT get front turn signals, something I wish had been communicated when I was customizing the bike at the dealership.

1.- I got the bike some 3 weeks after estimated time. 2.- Didn’t include specific video for the 7 speed derailleur, I had to imbed the more time asking Blake. 3.- I paid shy of 2 Grand, and didn’t included air pump or patches? I was expecting a bit more attention. 4.- How come it won’t go pass 20/h on PL 5 , I saw the videos show close to 28. Please explain . I need to reach that speed to go to work. It’ll be great if you still send me those standard tools. I picked up a really big thorn and I’m stuck at home. Thanks Marco

The bike was supposed to be delivered in May and I finally received it today. I am away on business and will not be able to open until Sunday morning. More communication from the company would have made the experience a lot better

It’s been unacceptable the customer service I’ve had during the build and shipping process of my two bikes. First, each bike was built and assembled in a different showroom, so getting any information from the main company contact was impossible. For several weeks I was told that my bike was in the shipping department and my wife’s was waiting on a basket to be completed. I was told they would hold my bike in shipping until my wife’s was done to make the shipping and delivery easier. Well, finally, after a month's delay of my wife’s bike getting built, I got a call from a freight company that they were delivering a bike to me that day. I wasn’t given any shipping or tracking information to schedule a delivery when I was home. On top of that, I found out that it’s not both bikes being delivered, just my wife’s. I try to rush home from work and find the huge pallet with my wife’s costly bike just on the sidewalk's edge by the street in front of my house. It sat there for several hours and no one had to sign for the delivery. I immediately called EBC to ask where my bike was and why I wasn’t given tracking for the bike. They tell me that they can’t find shipping information for the bike. They tell me they will call me back after they look into this. I have never received a call back from anyone at EBC in 8 weeks. I have called to get information on my bike. The next day I called again, saying I never got a call back about my missing bike. I also had to call because my wife’s bike was missing the accessories we bought. They told me they would call back with the shipping information for the bike that sat in shipping for a month. For the amount of money you spend on these bikes and shipping, the customer has been unacceptable. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Love riding the bike! The seat is comfortable and the 24" wheel is perfect for my 5'2" height. The team, especially manager Blake, responded to all my questions in a prompt and understandable manner. The bike arriving fully assembled is really quite a perk. So happy that I made this purchase.

First I wanna say I studied many companies before getting the electric bike co. The customer service is excellent on the phone and in person the take their time with you. As a 60 yr old that hasnt ridden a bike in over 45 yrs that means something LOVE YOU GUYS

We’ve had a “Model Y” for a little over two years. The bike seems well built, the components are nice. We had a battery go bad during an RV trip last year and was thoroughly impressed by the fact that a tech from their factory came to our camp site in Oceanside, and replaced the battery for no cost. The bike was great right up to the trip we are currently on in the Grand Canyon. Seems to be the same issue. Dead battery, no power or charging. Good thing we also own another manufacturer’s e-bike so we could tow this one around camp. We’ll be getting this one repaired, and replacing it with something else as soon as we get home.

Our batteries had "gone to sleep" and all I had to do was ship them back. They "woke" them up and even installed a new connector so that I can use my external charger to "wake" them up myself. All at no cost!!!! The only thing they could do better is send an email when they shipped them back so I could keep an eye out for them when they arrived. We are so glad we chose Electric Bicycle Company.

Even though my frame ended up being on back-order, the customer service we experienced was amazing. Not only did both my wife and I buy bikes, but our three neighbors are now getting on the e-bike bandwagon with EBC!

Just got back from a 10 day trip to Colorado, including Breckinridge, where we rode our bikes almost daily. We were stopped numerous times by other bikers and asked about our bikes. Not only are they "stylish" they worked and rode perfectly!

They are easy to get an order in, but once you have paid, you are passed around. Bike came built wrong after coming damaged the first time. Was promised my order would have special handling after it came damaged, then the 2nd bike came wrong. I was left to fix on my own and rebuild. I paid all that money for no assembly and now I have to learn how to rebuild a bike or convince a local bike shop to do the fix for me, which I have had 0 time to do. I want a bike built correctly sent over or a refund. I will not recommend this company ever. terrible experience and left in the dark now. it's a great garage ornament I will probably give away when I purchase a new e-bike elsewhere. Thousands wasted on an incorrectly made custom bike. Order 1178741. They overpromise, under deliver and think little freebees will fix the issue.
