Ordered ipad ,paid for next day delivery item did not arrive and was told that it had been lost by DPD and I should claim compensation from them ,after pointing out that contract of sale was with Gecko not DPD and threatening with trading standards a refund was given and I was able to purchase item from a reliable company.

My wife and I wanted to sell our 2018 iPad Pros 10.5. I went onto the Gecko site and was offered £199.50 for each item which I agreed to. The packaging came and the Jiffy bag was only big enough for a phone! We supplied our own packaging. Both items had a glass screen protector on from day one and both had been in a case for protection. When Gecko got the items they dropped the price to £124 for one as they said it needed a new battery as it would only hold 87% charge(no reply when I sent a photo of it showing 100% on day of posting) and £50 for the other for battery and screen as pressure pad had gone. All this was rubbish of course! They as I should realise they are not getting a new iPad Pro as they were 4 years old. I asked for both items to be returned. Do not deal with this company as they can’t be trusted and tell lies to drop the price. Avoid at all costs

Offered to buy my iPhone which was in good condition (always in a case and with screen protector fitted). They claimed "the device display has some scratches which shows minor wear and tear". They offered a significantly reduced price or return of my phone. I opted for return, checked the display very carefully and found two tiny marks only visible with a magnifying glass. In my book, that's good condition. Sent phone to a different recycler who paid the original price and didn't claim they could see damage.

Using Gecko mobile was easy. I followed the steps on the website to confirm the type and condition of the phone I was sending. The envelope arrived quickly and all I had to do was drop it off at the Post Office. Gecko Mobile kept me up to date via e-mail on the progress of the phone and payment was quick.
