I have always dealt with Maria Marasco and must say she is always helpufl polite and efficient. The level of service she delivers is of a high standard and I gladly remcommend the company and Maria as her best advisor.

I took control in booking the coach for V Festival Weston park with all my friends, i found CoachHire by simply searching for coaches online. The quote which they gave me seemed very cheap in comparison to other quotes which I had been given for 16 passengers, this being a positive. I rang up and booked which was simple and easy, lovely customer service from Maria. However nearer the time, when we had started to notice the very bad reviews we became wary and uncomfortable with who we were booked with, when trying to get in touch with Coach hire to solve this problem, they rarely picked up the phone. It would take me multiple rings until somebody answered, sometimes they never did as apparently they were always "too busy". They scarcely kept in contact with me aswell through out the payment scheme, even three days before my trip I had still had no contact with them about drivers/destinations (discounting the calls about payments), I had to ring them to find this information. In the end the coach company which coach hire had given us were angels (we were very lucky I'm guessing) . A lovely man spoke to me on the phone, he told me the "mini coach" we had booked on the website of coachhire was not the one we would be getting (instead we got a minibus) and the luggage compartment we had paid more money for wasn't on this minibus. This was what coachhire had promised me only 3 days before the drive which made me feel a little nervous. Luckily the company we were with provided a trailer for us so we could fit all of our bags in them. We got there and back without any hassle thanks to the fantastic company we were given and I am grateful as I was so scared for whether anyone was going to turn up or not. It is very unprofessional the lack of communication and false information that CoachHire provided us, I would honestly never book here again as I didn't feel secure that we were going to be picked up and dropped off, I would search elsewhere and do a lot of research before deciding to book anywhere else.

I have resorted to putting this on trust pilot as I have sent my complaint to 1) The contact who took our booking, 2) A phone call to the customer complaints line who promised to phone me back and never did 3) An email to the main complaints email 4) A message on facebook asking to be called. After over a month of waiting for a reply you can imagine I am completely fed up! I do not normally use forums like this to comment about companies, however I can clearly see that I am not going to have a resolution through normal routes. Our journey to Stirling on Friday was fine arriving safely in a reasonable time, however our return journey was a completely different story. The driver picked us up at 3.30 from Stirling uni, which is a 3 hour drive from Newcastle (our required destination). There were 9 children and 5 adults on the bus, and we had informed the parents of the kids to meet us at the school between 7 and 7.30. The driver informed us that the van had felt like it had been “dragging” on the way up so he was going to take it slowly home. After about an hour he said he would need to pull over to check the van as the ”dragging feeling” was getting worse, so we made an unscheduled stop at a service station. The driver discovered that an axle on the trailer was broken and the wheel was not turning, he was not worried that it would cause an issue, so continued the journey. Shortly after reaching the A69 at 6.30 smoke started billowing from the bonnet and we had to stop at the side of the road. We had to get all of the children off the coach onto the embankment in the cold and rain where they sat for over 30 minutes. The Drivers AA cover had expired so no one was able to get out to us, he believed it was a problem with the radiator so he took all of our bottles of water (10 in total) and filled the radiator. It was after 7pm when we managed to get all of the children back onto the mini bus and move to the closest petrol station so they could at least stay on the bus in the warm. We then had to wait for a replacement van to come and meet us. We had to buy food and water for the kids from the petrol station as they had missed their evening meal and the driver had taken all of our water. The driver kept trying to move the van further down the A69, risking breaking down again on the side of the road (of which we refused to put the children in any further danger). It was shortly after 8.30 that the replacement mini bus arrived and we managed to move onto the new bus. Where the driver of the new bus promptly told the other driver that that bus had missed a safety check and had to get it in for one ASAP. We finally arrived back at the school at 9.30 with very exhausted children and very frustrated parents. We have incurred the cost of buying the kids food and drink at the service station, replacement of the bottles of water, and new karate trousers for the 9 kids that were ruined sitting on the muddy wet bank. I have had several complaints from parents the following day saying that there kids have been ill since our journey back which is not surprising given they were sat in the rain for 30 minutes. The company have completely refused to deal with the situation ignoring emails and phone calls. I would not recommend them to anyone.

In all respects I cannot fault the service provided. The vehicle arrived on time, the driver was helpful and courteous, the coach was clean and comfortable and the return pick up was exactly as arranged. It made sure that the evening started well and concluded in the same vein. Than you so much.

Three of the coaches were extremely punctual, arriving on time. However one was over 45 minutes late meaning by the time we got on the road the students had a shortened day in Brighton, which seemed unfair. We also ran in to huge amounts of traffic due to the time we set off because of the delay. Also, this coach was the access coach and had a seat free for our wheelchair using student. In the end, our student had to be lifted out of his wheelchair and placed on a normal coach seat. Whilst this isn't the worst outcome, it isn't the service we paid additional money for. One of the coaches also broke down round the corner from school having taken a coach load of students and staff - it was a good job we had overestimated the number of students attending so we could merge coaches otherwise that would have added to the delay. The coach that ended up delayed, taking the broken down coach's load, didn't have air conditioning that was working and given it was about 26 degrees that day - students and staff really struggled. While we understand some of these issues cannot be avoided it really dampened the day for those students and staff on these coaches. Other than the above, drivers were polite, met at the designated spots on time to return and allowed students to eat and drink on the coaches providing students cleaned up - which they did. This was also the best value coach in terms of cost but if we use the service again the above issues would have to be rectified.

We've just be stranded, a phone call at 8pm 26 Aug, the night before a trip that leaves 11:30am tomorrow 27 Aug. So we can't do anything as every where is closed and we now need to wait until 8am tomorrow to see if they can find an alternative. Judging by other reviews this is not uncommon. This booking as been in place for 6 MONTHS and we are let down last minute, took their money on time though. Not a professional company. UPDATE 31 Aug. On the 27 we had to chase the company as no phone call was received at 8am as expected. We spent an extremely stressful morning chasing for updates as, despite promises, the company did not call back on progress, only confirming NO alternative transport was available at 10:45am, a full 45mins before the agreed pick up time of 11:30am. We have now had to APPLY for a refund and place a complaint (despite the comment below no 'senior manager' has been in touch). No proactive resolution at all. The truth is they are a third party who contract out your booking to coach companies. There is no guarantee that job will be picked up and you will risk facing this type of issue. So save yourself the hassle and book direct, you may spend a little more time and pay a little more, but it'll be worth it.

I used Coachhire.com as colleagues had recommended them. I was organising transport for an Australian Cricket team who were touring through the summer. My requirements were very fuzzy from the outset and changed numerous times in the weeks running up their arrival and whilst they were in country. Maria at Coachhire was excellent. Her administration and support were invaluable in getting the team the transport they needed at a price which was affordable. Maria even came in to work on a Saturday to confirm bookings we had made so late in the day. The Australian team captain contacted maria and I a few weeks after they returned home in order to chase what he thought must be outstanding invoices. Maria confirmed that he had all of them, and that the transport costs of the tour had been significantly cheaper than he was expecting. Job well done Coachhire.com (Maria Marissco you star!!)

I rang to book a coach for a works outing to the races. I was not sure what time the races started and finished. When I spoke to Maria Marasco she was very helpful and told me what other customers have done. Maria was very helpful.
