United Kingdom | 04 July 2024My Zero Gravity experience has been positive. My mentor has helped me to stay organised and stress-free during exam season. I have also received some help with my Personal Statement, which has been great. I have gained insights into what it would be like to study Law at University, which has made me excited for my future. Overall, I have learnt that University is the place for me and I should not be reluctant to go to University. In the past, finances prevented me from even thinking about applying to University, but that does not stop me anymore, and as a result, I have applied to 5 Universities, received 4 out of 5 offers and made my firm and insurance choices. The Zero Gravity platform, especially the mentoring, has played a huge role, throughout my UCAS journey.

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024Having been feeling a little lost on how to navigate year 12 & 13, I stumbled across Zero Gravity. Ever since, I have grown in confidence a lot, understanding my abilities and skills which I can use to my advantage. This is thanks to my mentor. She has been so lovely and willing to work with me. She helped me develop my personal statement which got me offers from all five of my choices. I can’t thank her enough because she understood where I lacked self confidence and helped me to redirect this to to my true strengths. I cant wait to start studying business management at University in September with my new found aspirations.

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024I found that the ability to engage with new types of maths outside of school and even outside of what I thought I was interested in was enriching. Being able to discuss with someone who had more experience than me was very enlightening when picking universities and the exact course right for me.

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024My experience with Zero Gravity has not only transformed my vision of my future, but also given me the skills, information and encouragement to pursue it. The community page has been a space of camaraderie in a high-pressure year, while the masterclasses have been an invaluable source of information, demystifying the Cambridge application process. Yet, the most rewarding aspect has been my meetings with Theo which have prepared me for both the rigorous application and the intense degree I hope to pursue by opening new, challenging discussions on previously intimidating topics, such as fields of literary criticism. Not only have our meetings deepened and confirmed my love for reading and exploring Literature, but his constant encouragement has allowed me to see myself as a potential Cambridge graduate, even following into the competitive field of publishing; ambitions which would not have been so assured without my Zero Gravity experience.

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024Zero Gravity has really provided an eye-opening experience on various fronts in terms of the application process and understanding university through the differing online webinars and meetings. Furthermore, my mentor has been extremely insightful into what I should include in my personal applications for law at university, informing me on student life and finance advice, in addition to providing aid for writing my personal statement, to which I found the most beneficial.

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024The companies dedication to improving access and their work surrounding social mobility always makes me smile. It's that ethos that gives me the drive to continue to help in the fight to give students the opportunities I lacked growing up in higher education via the platform and in my respective space

United Kingdom | 04 July 2024I’ll be studying Public Relations at UAL, a course I’ve been interested in for years. I’ve already gained experience in the world of PR through volunteering to market school events at my sixth form, but this year will be a major financial struggle for me moving to London.

United States | 03 July 2024It opened many opportunities for me, such as scholarships and placements for the summer. Furthermore my mentor has been really helpful when it came to everything, whether it was helping me decide what university to pick, to dissect course details and interview preparation.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I'm an 18 year old prospective student to study Forensic Psychology, as it is my ambition to become a Criminal Profiler. My Zero Gravity mentor has been amazing in helping me with this, booking calls to discuss my personal statement and ways to improve this, which led to a reduced offer from my first choice university. Zero Gravity has also helped in the resources aspect, allowing me to learn how to properly structure my personal statement and the goals feature has helped me know what to talk to my mentor about in our sessions. I'm also more informed of how I apply for a student finance, as well as the Masterclasses helping me with specific ideas that will help my application and in future study aspects, such as learning more about jobs within the Legal sector, which my career aspirations fits into.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I have always struggled to find opportunities and to receive support in developing my academic career further from my schools and college due to the low-income area in which I live. My mentor has been incredible in allowing me to receive offers from top universities and allowed me to increase the depth of the knowledge that I have for the subject that I have such an interest in. My mentor has also helped me in developing skills such as critical thinking, presentation skills and has improved my confidence in my abilities. The community on zero gravity has been so beneficial in connecting with likeminded students who have similar interests and have a similar background to you- I have felt so welcomed in the community and love sharing the resources and experiences that I have found so beneficial to me and also learning how others have achieved their goals. Without the support of zero gravity I would not have felt that I would have been confident enough to apply to top universities and make my goal of becoming a psychologist more of a reality.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I relocated to the UK in 2021 to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer. Through dedicated efforts, I obtained GCSEs in Maths and English to strengthen my university application. Believing in the transformative power of education, I advocate for accessible learning opportunities and support welfare courses that drive community progress. Discovering Zero Gravity on LinkedIn was a pivotal moment in my journey. The invaluable support, from writing a compelling personal statement to engaging in enriching masterclasses and community resources, guided me through an unfamiliar path. My mentor, Maya B, played a crucial role in my success by providing insightful guidance on personal statement structuring and university selection. Maya's encouragement and advice empowered me to choose institutions not requiring the LNAT, enhancing my application strategy. With Zero Gravity's support, my university application journey was transformed, setting me on a path towards realizing my ambitions as a future barrister.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I am an ambitious individual who thoroughly enjoys interacting with people to produce an insightful outcome collectively. I consistently strive to challenge myself, to be able to succeed in new endeavours and continuously improve. One of the numerous opportunities I took advantage of to better myself was Zero Gravity. We evaluated the options that were presented to me and determined what was best. Using the zero gravity platform, I enhanced my portfolio for universities, as it included high-profile events, advice and insights from graduates and others working in related fields that interested me. United Kingdom | 03 July 2024My Zero Gravity mentor helped me to gain the confidence to go into my interview/entrance exam feeling as though I was able to enjoy the experience. My confidence improved hugely, not only due to the skills and knowledge I gained from the programme but due to the encouragement and ongoing support from my mentor; I couldn’t fault her or the program. The webinars giving information/application advice made me feel far less alone for a very daunting experience, and gave me a sense of connection to a future that before felt unreachable. My complete love of learning in a creative manner and literature has been something I’ve felt constantly growing throughout my life and education; Zero Gravity immediately felt made for people like me.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Coming from a single parent family within a low demographic area, my mentor Kieran opened my eyes to social mobility programmes to apply for and ultimately attend. He helped me to believe that even though I come from an unprivileged background I could still achieve my dream of receiving a place at a Russell Group University. Through the many sessions, support and the personal statement advice that I have received from Kieran I am now the proud recipient of a place at The University of Warwick to study a degree that I never thought possible. Without Kieran and Zero Gravity I am aware that I would not be in the position that I am now and I will be forever grateful for this opportunity. I thank Kieran for all the time that he has spent with me and I hope that he is proud of what we have achieved together

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024When I started my A-Levels, I had a deep passion for politics but thought I had nothing valuable to offer the field. Winning the 2023 Gresham College Oracy Competition (on Climate Change and the Environment) made me realize my voice mattered, and I wanted to dedicate my life to solving global issues. I decided to "Go big or go home" and aimed for HSPS at Cambridge. Around this time, I signed up for Zero Gravity and was paired with my amazing mentor, who boosted my confidence throughout the extensive and sometimes overwhelming admissions process. As a black girl from a lower-class background, I faced additional concerns that Zia helped me navigate. Practically, she assisted in perfecting my personal statement, honing my essay-writing skills for the admissions assessment, and preparing for my interview. The other resources on the Zero Gravity website, particularly the webinars and community discussions, were also invaluable. It’s thanks only to Zero Gravity I was able to secure a Cambridge offer! 😇
