United Kingdom | 03 July 2024My mentor Tom was so integral in shaping my application to Imperial and Oxford. His weekly calls that he did with me were extremely helpful in redrafting my personal statement, and giving me the confidence to put forward a carefully crafted competitive application to these respective universities. While I did not get into Oxford, his support was pivotal in securing a place at Imperial, and he gave me the support I needed to smash the Imperial interview, which he had done many years ago. WIthout Zero Gravity, I would not have developed the confidence and subject expertise to put forward such a well crafted application as a first generation student. I have learned such life changing advice, resilience and dedication from my calls with my mentor that I'm sure have equipped me for the world of work later on.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I’ve had an incredible experience with Zero Gravity and am so thankful to the platform for providing me with so many opportunities. I was given a mentor from my favourite university studying my dream course-medicine. My mentor helped organise my ideas for my personal statement into a clear format and provided constructive feedback on my drafts. I also attended some masterclasses on writing personal statements which helped when constructing my own. What I found most useful was the interview preparation with my mentor which enabled me to build my confidence in expressing myself as well as helping me with the structure of my answers. Also, my mentor was able to advise in choosing my accommodation, after having made my firm choice, and this really made me feel less anxious about the process which originally, I was daunted by. I especially love the amazing student community where I can read and learn from other like-minded people’s questions on the forums.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I have been part of the Zero Gravity community since Year 12, and it has equipped me with knowledge which has been helpful for university applications and beyond. During the Summer after Year 12, the Personal Statement programme and access to AI Coach increased my confidence in writing my personal statement, which contributed to my university offers. My mentor is amazing and is always happy to have calls. His personal statement and critical thinking support helped me receive four offers. Zero Gravity has also helped me with careers, I was able to secure summer work experience in finance, and the Zero Gravity webinar definitely helped me learn more about the bank and the application process. The Zero Gravity team has always been knowledgable and responsive whenever I had questions. Overall, my experience with Zero Gravity has been incredibly positive, and I am excited to give back by becoming a mentor when I go to University.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Zero Gravity is an awesome platform. I was fortunate to know what I wanted to study at university, but my mentor's support and encouragement made my choice even easier. She provided invaluable guidance and support in writing my personal statement, which was really challenging for me and required a lot of effort. In the end, it paid off, as I got accepted into prestigious universities such as KCL, City University of London, and Queen Mary University of London for Business Management. My mentor wasn't just a mentor but also a friend who was incredibly kind. She was only a year older than me and in her first year of university, which made her more relatable and helped me envision what university life would be like. The regular meetings on topics such as writing personal statements and completing milestones made my journey easier by giving me the structure I needed to reach my desired destination. University may not be for everyone, but it definitely is for me.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Starting zero gravity in beginning of year 13 has helped me remove many misconceptions regarding such a complex and important year. Thanks to my mentor, she assisted me throughout, always giving me tailored advice regarding my university applications, yet also assisted me with my alevel subjects. When I received some rejections from unis- my mentor discussed with various plans and routes to take- and this aided me to not fixate at a rejection and move on. Conversely my teachers in school weren’t equipped enough to give me such level of detail as my mentor did. Especially my mentor was only a year older than me- she really focused on giving me advice that she would have desired to receive when she was in my position. I aspire to become a mentor when I start my university course, as many a-level students often struggle during their journey. I personally found it comforting discussing my worries with my mentor- and it definitely uplifted my mood. It was an amazing experience, and my only regrets is that I didn’t find out about such platform earlier in year 12.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024My name is Daan and I am an autistic student who is the first to go to university in my family as well as breaking the stigma of 'autistic kids cannot go to university'. In my spare time, I like to play Badminton and go on hikes! My experience with Zero Gravity has been amazing since I first joined as I was recommended Zero Gravity by one of my teachers. I have met a very nice community willing to help with any questions that I had. My mentor has been very supportive throughout my application journey into Biomed and got into all 5 unis! I have learned so much from him throughout this process such as finding ways to develop skills in supercurriculars and extracurriculars within my subject field and how I applied this during my application. He was very willing to answer any questions I had too even if I did not understand at first, he clearly explained things again and helped me understand.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024The support and guidance from Zero Gravity and my mentor have been instrumental in my journey, from the university masterclasses to the tips and tricks on making a competitive application. The real cheat code was the mentoring. My mentor gave me so much invaluable time and advice which helped instil a lot of self-belief that I never knew I had. He helped me so much throughout the interview period, organising multiple mock interviews, and asking me questions that I found to be similar to what I was asked at the interviews. I feel so privileged that I was given this opportunity, without it, I would've been lost and wouldn't have applied to any of the top universities that eventually gave me offers. Zero gravity has been amazing, the community is positive and everyone motivates each other to always strive to be the best.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I am a dedicated, aspirational student who is continually seeking for ways to improve myself and broaden my knowledge by learning from others. Zero Gravity has been an essential catalyst in my progress. The programme has given me significant assistance and possibilities, helping me to achieve new heights in my academic and professional pursuits. For example, I especially appreciated the masterclass feature because it covered a variety of topics and provided really insightful information that I could use to strategically apply to institutions that were most relevant to me and construct a well-rounded personal statement. In addition, my mentor has been extremely helpful throughout this journey, providing me with ongoing direction and support. They helped me manage challenging problems, such as difficult exam questions, and gain confidence in my talents. United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Zero Gravity is a great platform and community for college students! There is a community where we can all share our questions and university students help us out! There also lots of resources such as webinars and having a mentor which is really good for 1:1 support.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Great platform that paired me up with a lovely mentor, who helped me prepare for a university interview and proof read my personal statement. The interface is easy to use and I’ve never had a problem with calling my mentor. The communities feel kind and an encouraging with a good amount of anonymity. Would definitely recommend if you go to a state school, as this platform has definitely provided more guidance and support in applying to university than many schools are able to.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Zero Gravity was my catalyst, transforming my academic journey from a state school student with modest dreams to an Oxford-bound scholar. The platform’s mentorship program was instrumental in my success. My mentor's sessions were highly engaging, making complex topics accessible and interesting. Her ability to explain concepts clearly and conduct mock interviews greatly helped me. With my mentor's guidance, I received offers from prestigious universities including Oxford, UCL, Bristol, and Warwick. Her support was pivotal in my academic achievements. Before Zero Gravity, I never dreamed of Oxford, but now I will be studying my dream degree at one of the best institutions. This platform breaks boundaries and has given me opportunities I never thought possible. I am incredibly grateful for Zero Gravity and the remarkable impact it has had on my life. I couldn't have achieved this without this platform's support.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Zero Gravity is brilliant, I cannot recommend it enough! I was paired with a brilliant mentor who is a current student at the university where I want to study. She gave me so much helpful advice about personal statements and applying, helping me to practise for interviews. The masterclasses were a great way to get expert advice from university students, admissions tutors and more. Having access to the Zero Gravity community was also brilliant because I benefitted from advice from current students and connecting with other people also applying.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024Intimidated. Fearful. That’s how I honestly felt after GCSEs going into Sixth Form, knowing that the next stage was university in less than 3 years. However, Zero Gravity helped me so much during this time, with an easy platform to communicate with other students, as well as meet university students who supported me with understanding what course and university I wanted to attend to further my interests in Aerospace. Having support from Dylan, my mentor, with regards to how to sort out teacher references & predicted grades, to future topics such as how engineering projects & lectures work at university, as well as managing university social life and finances & the importance of applying for work experiences and internship as a student to increase employability opportunities for my future career. I hope I can come back and mentor students to receive the support that I did during Sixth Form.
