My experience was made fantastic with the knowledge of the product Eco Energy had when I was considering buying. The instillation team were very kind a considerate to the needs of my family. The price was very competitive. I now save upwards of £400 per month. This is essentially another mortgage.

Salesman was very helpful, not pushy and gave me what I needed and no hard sell of items I didn't need. Fitters excellent especially the electrician who went out of his way to hide cables. Very neat job fitting the equipment.

Early days - our solar panels were installed on Thursday (3 days ago). The installers seemed nice & efficient enough, but we were disappointed that so much sawdust etc was left in the 2 cupboards that the fitters needed to drill holes in. They didn't give me time to empty them and they didn't cover anything. I had to empty 5 shelves of files, shake out the sawdust & wood chips, vacuum & wipe each shelf. I would have been happy to empty the cupboard without having to deal with wood chippings and sawdust everywhere. Our gas boiler is in the other cupboard - we can only hope that the thick layer of sawdust and wood chippings over it didn't get inside. Also, we realised after the installation that we need mesh bird protection - so we now need to deal with that. We're also quite frustrated by the software - it goes offline several times a day and there's no sensible manual as far as I can see and some of what we're seeing in the graphical display makes no sense. (eg why are we pulling from the grid when the solar input is far greater than our demand at the moment?). Also displays very low time resolution so it's hard to fathom out what has caused a massive spike in demand. Our son used a different company and his software is a hundred times better. We'll be calling for post installation support tomorrow and will report back.

Excellent service from Eco Energy from start to finish. Installers did an excellent job and both the electrician and the panel installers explained what they were doing as the work went on. All work was completed in the time specified and everything was cleared up leaving nothing left. A superb job by all involved.

Installation was carried out efficiently and timely. Satisfied with the product but the battery size (3.3kva) I was advised to get, struggles to meet my summer needs, I doubt if it will serve me during winter. Getting an additional battery will increase the payback period and that erodes the cost benefit of the capital investment of going solar. Not a worthwhile investment in retrospect

Planning was a bit tense as we had a deadline date to complete, but they pulled it together in time. The roof was originally measured to support 20 panels but during installation, it was found that only 15 would fit, so some drama to get the rebate. We opted for in roof installation, so got a free retiling job, which was a bonus as I can now use the saved tiles for another pantile conversion to 100+ year old Welsh slate. I'm still picking up roofing nails from my drive and lawn though. I got the 6.5kWh Growatt battery and after 6 months, noticed it running out from midnight to sunup, so got Eco Energy to install another 6.5kWh battery. The cost of purchase and installation was in line with market expectations, but I was unconcerned as I availed the Scottish HomeEnergyTrust grant and loan process, so very cost effective. Installation was seamless and I now have solar covering 95% of my normal load, even with the usual crop of gray days we get in Scotland.

From start to finish Eco Energy were very friendly and efficient. All were very helpful. The installation was done efficiently and tidily. Roofers who installed panels and electrician who installed installation were excellent.

A Very Satisfied Customer From Ross's initial visit (where everything was explained fully and in easy to understand terms) to the electricians and roofers who installed the 10 panels and a storage battery in under 3 hours today having them successfully generating our electricity, the whole process was wonderfully efficient and stress free. The office and support staff have guided us through the whole procedure with patience and understanding. I was nervous about taking this step but didn't need to be. It couldn't have gone better.

We had solar panels and a battery fitted by Eco Energy. When the salesman visited we spent a long time discussing being able to use the battery during a power cut – a not infrequent occurrence where we live and the prime reason for having a battery installed along with the solar panels. At no time were we told that the system they were proposing would not support this. We had also specified that it should work seamlessly with our supplier, Octopus Energy, so we could take advantage of low cost power at night. It doesn’t do this either, requiring a complicated work around to achieve it. The day after installation (and after I had paid) we had a power cut and we could not access the power in the battery, which was 100% full at the time. It was a beautiful sunny day and the solar panels also cut out. Phoned Eco Energy and they couldn’t have cared less. We were told that the battery they have installed does not support powering the house during a power cut but there might be a switch that could be installed at some unspecified time in the future. Wrote to the managing director, asking him under terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to either rectify or remove the system and give us a refund, which I posted with a signed for delivery so I know he received it, but had no response. In addition to this, the customer service is extremely poor – on the order form it says that they will apply for the g99 (a form that goes to the network supplier) and this was not done until I phoned and asked why it hadn’t been done, the day before the 28 day time limit was up. For other enquiries, of which there have been several, the stock answer is “I’ll have to look it up and phone you back” I have had this response on at least 4 occasions. How many return phone calls have I received? None. Very very poor and I would not recommend them. That said, the installation (which is not done by Eco Energy but by a third party) was excellent.

We had a really good experience with Eco Energy. They were very supportive while we went through the frustrating Home Energy Scotland process, looking for the grant/loan scheme. On the day of fitting the fitters were punctual, polite, efficient and tidy. They stayed on site late to finish the job in a day. The electricians were equally efficient. They all managed the job with minimal disruption to us and our house, no decor issues. There was a breakage to which the electricians did not own up, annoying rather than major. My only criticism is that the post fitting paperwork was delayed due to a glitch in the office. This led to me receiving a bit of a nippy phone call accusing me of being tardy when it was their error. Communication in this call could have been handled better. Overall we would recommend Eco Energy.

The initial survey and quote was informative and easy to understand. An early installation date was arranged. The panel installation team and the electrician were polite and efficient. The installation was completed in one afternoon. The administration staff were helpful and friendly. Very impressed by the power being generated. Two hiccups, neither of which were the fault of Ecoenergy. First; we wish we had bird protection installed at the outset (two pigeon nests in the first week!). Secondly, beware; the Scottish Power Smart Export Guarantee application process is an absolute nightmare!

Blair at Eco Energy and every single trade,involved with the installation of the solar panels and battery back up were all extremely polite, efficient and hardworking. John & his son the electricians were also great with our dog. Everyone tidied & cleared up before leaving. I would also add the girls in head office were a pleasure to deal with and very knowledgable. Thank you Eco Energy😁

From first contact with them I was very impressed. The salesman was efficient and honest. He gave us a very good details on what would be most effective and useful for us. He also guided us on all the paperwork we would need to claim the loan from the government. Once all was setup and installation date agreed everything went as planned and spot on time. The installation guys were very quick, efficient and cleaned up. They were best workmen we have ever had along with the electricians, who when they arrived took the time to explain in detail everything they were doing. Once installed they setup and showed me in detail how to use the Shinephone app. I cannot express how happy we were with the excellent service we got from the office to the guys who did the installation.
