I joined the course with a open mind with a serious view to learn what I could from the CP course, having been working in the Hostile Industry for 13 years in Iraq, Africa and mainly Afghanistan. I certainly did learn from the course. The course was pitched at the right level for all to learn, I just think maybe a little more un armed combat and on an earlier date, as this day did bring the course together by showing the students individual personal strengths and weaknesses. I truly enjoyed the course and would recommend the course. I think the course would be more beneficial if we have been given a FREC or FPOSI certification rather than a First Aid at work certification - as in the security industry now - most companies are asking for FREC or FPOSI - certainly in hostile security industry. Thank you to all for your valuable time and effort, greatly appreciated this end. My aim now is to use these new skills and get a Job as a CP operative rather working in the hostile environments.

Every aspect of the training course is designed and delivered with a specific objective in mind, which becomes apparent as you progress through the course and complete each exercise. The Instructors provide clear guidance and support at every stage, using real life experience to explain and justify the learning points. The frequent feedback throughout the course is open, honest, and most importantly constructive - providing students with a clear picture of where their strengths lay, and any areas for further improvement. The days on the course can be very long (and the nights very short), but ultimately this is due to the intensive nature of the training, and is ultimately a good reflection on how working hours can be in the Close Protection industry. What is also important to note is that the Instructors and additional support staff from Phoenix are also investing long hours into your training! In summary I am 100% confident with the skills that I have been taught, and would definitely recommend Phoenix to anybody who wants to move into the Close Protection profession.

As a Door Supervisor, and with very limited understanding of the world of Close Protection, I decided to book this renowned course to best set me up for a new career in Private Security. Mitchell Atkinson and Lee both led the course fantastically, using their years of Protection at the highest level and ability to teach in a way that is realistic, practical and enjoyable. Having just come off the Phoenix 16 day CP course I can honestly say it is an excellent course. The course covers so many aspects of CP from evasive driving, unarmed combat to the laws and regulations of the security and CP industry. Continuous assessment throughout the course ensures that students are kept up to speed with the many serials involved. Multiple real life exercises are conducted in everyday situations this help bring the planning and deployment together. Definitely makes a difference as this is where all the training comes together. All the instructors are professional and current. If you’re considering doing a CP course then the Phoenix course is the only one I’d consider. Yes, there are cheaper alternatives, however, if you want to go a little further then this course is the way.

Most demanding and realistic environment I’ve ever seen and I accomplished many courses. Real live scenarios, lack of sleep, exhaustion, working in different part of town and out of town, different tasks and operations. Very demanding teachers wants you to be best version of yourself and be 110% ready for real work. Amazing experience skillful people ready to help you when need and struggle with something. Teamwork focused alone you will not go far with this course that’s the fact. Need to learn how to trust people you work with and be ready to give maximum from yourself to the team. Definitely recommend this course but be sure you are ready for it. Fail is not an option.
