The Phoenix CP course is without a doubt the best course of it’s kind, I cannot see how any other training provider could do better. Having completed a similar course in South Africa (albeit with a lean towards CP in a Hostile-Environment), I found the Phoenix course very comprehensive & informative & do not hesitate in recommending it to anyone interested in a career as a CPO.

The instructors are experienced in the field and with their knowledge, you can apply the vast scenarios into things you will encounter in the profession.

An excellent course well constructed and put together. The 'live' scenarios gave an insight into the various roles of a CPO and the responsibilities they carry. Hats off to the Instructors, Mitch and Lee, for their support and involvement with all the candidates and also to the supporting instructors throughout the course. The interaction between candidates was also a great plus as I have personally come away with some new friends and possibly future colleagues. Everything was taken into consideration, transport, accommodation and welfare facilities throughout the 16 day course which helped candidates to focus on the tasks set. The course covered all the possible aspects of the CPO role from the legal side right up to the public interaction and deliverance of service expected from a qualified CPO. The Phoenix Close Protection Course is by far the highest quality course out there. Phoenix really are world leaders when it comes to Close Protection. They set the standard for the upper echelon in training and live experience within preparation for the CP industry. I completed the Close Protection course offered by Phoenix and partook the full 16 days. I can comfortably say it was one of the toughest but most rewarding experiences I have ever had! The instructors are some of (if not) the best in the world, working with the most exclusive clientele in the world. The cost of the course is negligible in terms of the long term employment prospects and quality of training provided. I was initially hesitant being the youngest on the course however I would gladly experience it all again. The driving day, firearms day and live experiences truly prepare you for some extreme scenarios however there is a reason why Phoenix produce the finest most elite CPO’s. If you want to get into the Close Protection Industry, or even want to improve your current skill set, there is no one I would recommend more than Phoenix.

The close protection training package delivered by Phoenix was an incredible experience. Mitch and Lee were fantastic instructors and I take my hat off to them for all their hard work getting us through the training. Its intense with very little down time but despite the long hours they made it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The classroom days are long and theres a lot of information to take in but Mitch's story telling abilities made them interesting and engaging as he shared a lot about his experience working as a CPO. Once we moved onto the practical side of things it really got interesting and everything we learned in the classroom was put into practice. The team made sure that every aspect of the course was as realistic as possible - no days off, on call pretty much 24/7 and all exercises conducted in the field in and around Birmingham with final ex being a live op with one of Phoenix's principals. The firearms, driving and unarmed combat days were thoroughly enjoyable and provided a great opportunity to put the skills we had learned into practice in an interesting way. The advanced driving day in particular was my personal favourite. I would urge anyone thinking about training as a CPO to choose Phoenix because if you are successful you will walk away with much more than a certificate. You will have a deep understanding of what it means to be a CPO, how the industry works and also the confidence to find your place in it. Huge thanks to Mitch, Lee and the rest of the Phoenix team. Mitch, Lee and the rest of the training team were mega! They gave us a thorough understanding of all things CP. Head trainers Mitch & Lee immersed themselves into the course with us and worked harder than the students as to make sure that we got 110% out of the course.

An excellent, professional and well ran course. From the admin staff loading me onto the course through to the instructors and the 5* resources used to make the training as realistic and testing as possible. I would certainly recommend this course to anyone wishing to work in this industry. The course is intense but still very much achievable with plenty of additional support from the instructors if required. You received a lot more than the tick in the box on this course, it provides you with the skills needed to be able to confidently work as part of a CP team on operations. Worth every penny, and given the choice again there would be no doubt where I would go for this training “PHOENIX GROUP.”

I found the course to be well laid out, structured, and comprehensive. The instructors were of the highest calibre and each had their own unique background and particular skillset, which provided a well rounded and balanced course delivery. The exercises were both realistic and highly challenging. The introduction of phone technology whilst conducting operations provided the learner with updated skill methodology (albeit, in my opinion, I could have recorded more footage, having never trained in such a contemporary and unique style). The simulation of sleep deprivation and standby evenings was personally very taxing, after not having experienced this for a few years, but the exposure was a good lesson in personal time management and being more pro-active with administration tasks (i.e. updating my POE daily). Offensive driving and firearms training is not always a priority to most CPO training companies and Phoenix spared no expense or effort to deliver both fun and highly professional training modules. I will recommend this course to any experienced associate, or prospective candidate who wishes to enter the private security close protection sector.

Really impressed with the training course provided. Exceeded all of my expectations, the instructors (Mitch and Lee), were really professional and had an extensive knowledge of the career. Would recommend this course to anyone looking at going into a career for close protection. Totally worth the money paid and would happily be part of this course again.

Just finished the level 3 CPO course and it was above and beyond my expectations. The trainers make the course what it is, Mitch & Lee are two of the most experienced and knowledgeable people in the industry and by the end of the 17 days I felt ultra prepared from what they taught me. Be prepared to work harder than you’ve ever worked! This is no exaggeration, there are no days off but it’s all for a reason and you will see the difference in yourself by the end of the course. There is a LOT that goes into this role, at the end of the day you are protecting someone’s life and I think people take this for granted when looking at this role. This course covers every blade of grass of that. You will be worked physically and mentally to the highest level to prepare you. I’m not sure I’ve passed will find out soon, but even if I didn’t, this course is one of the best things I’ve done with my life and I would legit come back again to pass if needed. Some advice though, leave your ego at the door! Do this course to learn and be trained because there are easier ways to get a CPO license but none will train you like this. Maybe I was lucky but I had a damn good group of people doing the course with me and we all helped each other, if you put 100% into this you will get out even more.

I went on the july course with the phoenix trai ing team they are extremely helpfull and supportive throughout the course the training is intense but worth it in the end all the training team are really nice i would 100% reccomend this training course to anyone looking to get into the close protection industry.

The Instructors at Phoenix are very professional on delivering the course.A big Kudos to Mitch,Lee,Taff and Jerome. The only down side is the internet at the Hotel.They should upgrade their internet service to cater the needs of the guest.

The course was delivered in a very detailed manner, was grateful to have attended the course. The team were very professional and had good course delivery , their approach was very personable which reassured each individual.
