I completed my close protection course with Phoenix, going on to the course I thought I’d know mostly all with my military back ground but I was wrong. I learnt a lot new skills and drills on the course and found parts of the course challenging which I enjoyed as I like to challenge myself but also learn new things. I’d definitely recommend Phoenix to others.

Just recently completed the c.p course with phoenix and i must say it is excellent in all aspects the team at phoenix are all great and easy to get along with however when the time calls they know how to really crank up the gears n put the pressure on to give you the most realistic experience of c.p training possible, the course is an intensely fulfilling 16 days but if you stick at it put in your best efforts you will come away learning valuable skills for life, i recommend this course for anybody who wants a head start of life into the cp world and anybody already in that wants to add to their skills and knowledge 5 stars undoubtedly

The 16 day training course through Phoenix was excellent. The instructors Mitch and Lee have a wealth of experience they can pass on over the duration of the course. When the other instructors get involved they offer another side of experience and conversation. The course was as I expected. There are long days, a lot of information to take on and work to be completed in your own time. The structure was great with a few long hard days split in the middle with unarmed combat training and driving. The final exercise was a great experience with a few unknown situations chucked in to test what we’ve learned along the way. The course is clearly incredibly reputable as I’ve been in touch with a couple of CP companies having completed the course and they knew the name Phoenix. I wouldn’t hesitate at suggesting to anyone to undertake the course if they’re wanting to pursue a career in Close Protection. Thank you Mitch, Lee, Taff, Germain

I chose Phoenix because of their reputation in the industry. it was a really tough couple of weeks but very worth it. i very nearly went with a different training company that was cheaper but im really glad i chose phoenix because i feel like the level of training and quality of instructors our course got would be hard to find anywhere else. The Advanced Driving day and the Firearms training days were a great learning experience, and the most fun i've had in ages !

The Phoenix close protection course ran over a 16 day period. During the course we conducted First Aid, Advanced driver training, Firearms training and we learned how to conduct and carry out the responsibilities of a CPO. The course started off with 2 and a half days of classroom based First Aid, which wasn’t ideal as we just wanted to get on with the CPO training from the off. It was however Understandable that this was covered first. I did think that better use of outdoor areas and Cas Sim (blood/amputees/fractures/ props etc.) would of made for a more enjoyable First Aid experience. That being said the criteria was met and understood by All. The Firearms training was short and sweet with hands on Live firing of various weapons. Good use of time was spent conducting additional scenarios (Foot Formations and Actions on contact etc.) whilst other members of the course were carrying out training on the indoor range. Unarmed combat was really enjoyable and gave us a chance to let off steam and get a sweat on. The driver training day was also a great day and was nice to be out of the office learning new skills and with great instruction from Tess. Once the CPO training started the intensity (mentally) really ramped up and on occasions lads weren’t getting any/very little sleep as the team worked together to prepare briefings etc. for Operations (again understandable). This wasn’t an issue, however extra due care must be taken into consideration for the drivers. The classroom days are very long and there is a lot of theory (more than I expected) that being said it’s absolutely essential. Foot Formations and Embus/Debus drills form the basis of the Job and again I would comment that use of larger outdoor areas would better facilitate the training particularly at the beginning whilst the drills were being taught and were new to us All. There was also at times (I thought) a lack of instructors present particularly on the Firearms and Driver training days. More instructors (even one) would of enabled us to make better use of time in order to practice/perform/conduct additional training in the background. Better use of scenarios could of aided certain tasking’s given during the course for eg Red light/Green light nights would of been easier to digest if there had been a scenario build up and then we could of reacted/been prepared for any given situation. A mentally demanding and rewarding course. Finally the instructors - Mitch and Lee, always made themselves available both day and night for any Q’s and also stayed up into the early hours to give advice and assistance, there knowledge is unquestionable.

A very good course to participate in, long hours but there's a lot to get through so you only get out what you put in. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole course especially all the practical exercises, it really opened up my eyes to what the CP world has to offer. The course was packed full of information and the instructors Mitch & Lee were very easy going and willing to help where ever needed.

The course was very good to attend, the instructors were friendly, always approachable and professional at all times. I enjoyed every part of the course, besides the long nights and sometimes early starts.. however, I’m aware that this was necessary to test us as individuals to see how we cope. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to work in this industry.

Unique life time experience for me. Came all the way from Greece during quarantine restrictions for this course and it was worth every minute spent, especially with the instructors. They provide all around knowledge about this line of work, adapted to reality requirements and real life examples. First aid training and serious health issues response was also very interesting. Thank you gentlemen for everything!!
