1st time leasing a vehicle, Kayleigh Waters at nationwide was very helpful and went through all the information needed efficiently, went very smoothly.

Please be aware of the prices that you are quoted. We have twice tried to order a Nissan Juke with the price quoted as £242 the first time we placed an order we received a prompt call but then heard nothing for a week. We sent an email asking what was happening only to be told the vehicle was no longer available. We waited a few weeks and then saw the advert again and again the price was £242 and the splash across the top was HOT DEAL IN STOCK so placed another order. This time though we didn't receive a call back and after waiting 5 days I phoned them to find out what was happening. Spoke to a guy who said he would pass my message on to the lady who was looking after our order only to then receive an email saying the flame red was actually a 3-5 month factory order and would i like to choose another colour. Guess what, all other colours cost more money so that increased the monthly price. This advert is misleading and incorrect, because you can not get this car at the price advertised in the time scale advertised. These adverts are used to entice you in and are against FCA regulations.

First time leasing a car through nationwide. Paperwork sorted in March. Paid my £200 and all was going well. Was told car would be delivered sometime between 0900-1730 on 16/05/24. Not ideal but I need a car so I took a day off work in order to be available. Get a phone call on Monday (13/05/24) telling me the car will now be delivered 29/05/24. So I’ve lost a day off and I’m now gonna have to get taxis to work (over a £50 round trip) or hire a car (looking at £200-250 a week). Customer resolutions tell me there’s nothing they can do because the delivery company won’t budge and apparently don’t care. Nationwide won’t supply any reimbursement or courtesy car, Despite me offering, I apparently can’t even go down and collect the car. So after all this I have waited 2 months before I get my car, I’ve lost a leave day from work (and another one on the 29th) and I’m out an extra £5-600. Hence, once my lease is up, I’ll be looking for an alternative.

The service from nationwide was brilliant however the delivery of the car was a nightmare. I got an email saying it will be between 9-5pm I stayed in all day. The delivery driver texted me saying he’s coming at 8pm then I waited longer and he didn’t even show. I had to chase this up several times. Next day delivered the car but I had missed a personal appointment. No collection emails or confirmations. Now being charged extra for insurance when it was delivered at a later date. Wouldn’t recommend again as the delivery dates aren’t accurate and you could be charged more.

Company took deposit then had next to no contact. Every email ignored or just a simple reply of we will look into this. After 6 weeks, I stated of I had no reply about the status of my vehicle I would like the order to be cancelled and deposit refunded. From this they just cancelled, rather than just call and explain why they were delaying my car, and now no reply about a refund. I have emailed Robert Dragun about my refund with no reply! Disgusted with the lack not response.

This was our second time at leasing a vehicle through Nationwide. Again no hassle with great prompt responses. A special shout out to Sam Curzons for making the experience an enjoyable one for us.

Have yet to receive the ‘in stock’ vehicle. Was told 3-4 weeks, but approaching the 4 weeks now and no sign of delivery date. Called to chase and was told it’s still awaiting pre delivery inspection and the wait is 4-6 weeks! The process in the beginning was swift and smooth but since I’ve signed on the dotted line it’s all gone very quiet…

Initial conversations with Nationwide Vehicle Contracts were positive, great communication and I was made to think this was going to be easy. Paid the processing fee and was ready to get going, or so I thought; Firstly, contracts come through with maintenance included in the price - i made it clear with sales that i didnt want maintenance. When I raised this with the sales team, I was told there was an error with my quote, and the price shown in the quote was inclusive of maintenance (it clearly stated on the quote that it was excluding maintenance). Getting hold of sales in this time was proving difficult. Phone calls being left unanswered, 4 chasers being sent before getting a response, call backs that never happened. After some hard work, new contracts were issued in about 2 weeks, signed and returned the same day. Then, radio silence. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything, I phoned and was told that there were delays with the vehicle checks. As a paying customer, I feel like it should not be my responsibility to get updates on my progress, and a quick email update from the delivery team wouldn't have gone a miss. Whilst on the phone, I was told I would hear back within the week - no surprises that I didn't hear a peep. An email to customer complaints also confirmed delivery delays (again, why am I, a paying customer, having to call up to find out where my vehicle is), and again, I was told I would hear very shortly. Still nothing. A few other reviews have also mentioned the lack of communication from this company, and with the recent delays, if you are looking for a swift and easy to sort lease, I would look elsewhere. Bottom line, communication was great until I paid the processing fee, once paid, this company goes silent. *UPDATE 23/05/24* Delivery date was confirmed the day of my original review - bit ironic but hey, we got there....until I got a voicemail last night saying there had been a 'hicup' with my order and the delivery date agreed was no longer possible. There had been minor damage noted on the vehicle and this has pushed back the delivery. Few points. My first complaint was over the delivery delays which were down to vehicle checks. Now I get a delivery date sorted, and I'm told 2 weeks later there is damage to the car. Surely this was picked up in the vehicle checks?? I was told that Jay would call me in the morning to discuss, and I've not heard a peep. The stories just don't add up. Overall, my view remains the same. Avoid this company. Update: 11/06/2024 So after being told that I had a specific customer service representative, Jay, who would be dealing with my case, and to only contact them regarding the delays, its taken me to email all of the directors as Jay wasn't responding. I was told by a director that Jay had left the business. The fact that this was communicated by a director after not hearing from Jay for 2 weeks says it all really, the communication and customer care of this business is an embarrassment. The tone from the top is exactly the same Since the email from the director, I responded within 24 hours of their email, but have since heard nothing. I was told to only communicate with the director and their customer resolutions manager, who seems to be on holiday. Its nice to feel like you, as a customer, are placed as a priority..... Still no sign of a car, still no really update on delivery.

Second time using Nationwide Vehicle Contracts. All was fine up until the car was delivered in the wrong colour and then the experience was awful. The Operative was reluctant to accept any responsibility, putting full blame on the dealership. There was absolutely no understanding the issue from my position. I had a car that was not the car I ordered, I had no other car to use so refusing it all together was not an option. I was told I would need to wait till September for new deliveries in the colour I wanted. When I suggested a refund of the booking fee, I was told quite bluntly, no, as it was not their fault, they had done what they needed to do! Despite me not getting the car I ordered! Clearly they did not do what they were supposed to do, whether that be just picking up the phone prior to delivery to the dealership to run through the particulars of the order! Basic checks! I couldn’t even continue to speak to the Operative in the end, he had no customer care skills and was supposed to be the manager. When I realised I wasn’t going to get nowhere, I suggested I speak to the dealership directly, he agreed and I have not heard from anyone at nationwide since. Reluctantly I’ve had to accept a car I did not order and to have not have so much as a follow up call or email from Nationwide is disgusting. I will never use them again, and would not ever recommend to anyone else.

Aundrae Boothe was great to deal with, responsive and able to answer any queries. The whole end to end process was clear and aside from some minor delays from the finance provider, the car was delivered within 4 weeks from start to finish. Thanks again Aundrae and Nationwide Vehicle Contracts

I ordered a car as it said it was in stock, once ordered my delay took over 3 months with no updates other than to generically tell me that there are still delays from Covid. If that is the case why advertise as in stock?

Would be a 5 star review but unfortunately 2 weeks after delivery and informing them of a missing option on the car that was on the order (and paid for) still not even a reply from CS of advise on what they will be doing about it. Update: 2 weeks after being asked to provide extra info so they can investigate nothing at all back from NVC. Nearly a month on from initially raising the issue.

This is the third time ordering a car from Nationwide. Their communication and stock list is always second to none. This time round I was dealing with Charlotte, she was very patient and knowledgeable, always available to answer my questions as I searched for the right car. Thank you Charlotte for making this a smooth process!

Started the process of leasing a car on 4th April. Got my finance accepted & signed paperwork on 12th April. Since then I have heard nothing unless I contact the company & am then given poor & unbelievable excuses as to why I haven't received the car yet. My chosen car was apparently "in stock & ready for delivery". I keep checking the government website to see if vehicle has been taxed yet but no joy so far. I'm afraid it sounds like they've got their admin fee now don't want to know.

All going well until actually getting the car delivered. Typical situation of none stop communication. Phone calls. Emails. Until they have your money. Then radio silence. The vehcile delivery is delayed. Its not there fault and they cant do anything to help. So now im out of pocket paying insurance for a car i dont have. Have no vehicle to travlel to london and no assurance that if i hire a car costs will be covered. As they have refused to , becuase as they repeatedly say, it isnt there fault. And now the delivery date has been missed im not even being given a new date. What a way to do buisness. But ps, it isnt there fault so its all okay.
