United States | 15 February 2025Vector security remains the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They feel no need to abide by a legal contract ending with a form that they signed. They charged me for years after the service was over, but they purposely did not call me. They waited till 2 years later to beg for money, hoping the paperwork would not be there any longer. Now I leave a review every year when they start harassing me. I’m not the only one with this experience. They do not abide by the law and you will need to protect yourself from the security company’s harassment. Take every precaution.

United States | 15 January 2025They refuse to provide the paperwork they claim is necessary to cancel their service. I have been trying since November 2024 to do so. They continue to take money from my checking account to pay for service I do not want. They are no better than scammers and any other nice name you want to give a thief.

United States | 22 August 2024Horrible Service - paying for monitoring and service and no one contacted us for two “critical incidents” CO monitors expired in June of 2024 and I had to call for replacement when monitor failed. We had to call the fire department Vector never did. Multiple fails today and can not reach service center. Automated answering.

We received a call from them telling us our system had faulted so tried calling back and the message said call back during regular business hours. What happened to 24/7 coverage that we pay for and if someone wants to break into our home guess they can do so as long as it’s not during regular business hours do you think. Customers for 15 years and the techs are great but try to get someone on the phone is impossible and this is a repetitive result. With all the competition available these days guess I’m going to have to research and make a change because this certainly isn’t what is necessary to cover and protect our home!

United States | 17 April 2024I was a customer for over eight years. Half the time the cameras didn't work. Customer service was awful and they are two expensive. I moved three times and continued to use this company for service. The last move, I was only in the home for a year. They charged me over a 1k for two cameras and sensors. They started me on a new contract for whatever reason. Then I sold the home and they forced me to cancel service and charged me over 2K to get out of the contract. RUN, don't walk away from this company. They will rip you off!

United States | 06 March 2024We just received a wireless installation. Every day we get many calls and emails about our system not communicating with vector. When we call, they don’t know why or they run a test. They say the “test” is working and then an hour later it’s not working. This company is such a waste of daily time and money. Very frustrated. Also, I’ve called the Fort Lauderdale office. No one answers, so I leave a message and never get called back.

United States | 02 February 2024I previously left a review and gave them 1 star. The sales rep was out to my home today and is satisfactorily resolving all issues and concerns. I am happy with the system and utilize it remotely. Really like the Wi-Fi thermostat.

United States | 02 February 2024We've been Vector clients since 2015. Never missed a payment. We don't travel much anymore, which was the main reason we got the service in the first place. Since we don't use it anymore, we wanted to get out of the nearly $60 per month fee. The original contract was for three years, and states that after that period the contract would be renewed on a month to month basis and cancellable with 30 day written notice. This is the provision I thought we were operating under. When I sent the letter to cancel, we were told we had another 10 months on the contract, and would have to continue paying. They say in 2021 upgraded my "cell communicator", (nothing else changed about the service) gave us a paper to sign, which was not openly undisclosed except in the fine print, obligated us to another 3 year contract. I was told this was to make my system compatible with "5G". This process seems a little dicey. I don't remember requesting this service change since I know nothing about the technology and would be hard pressed to explain why an upgrade would be needed. We had no idea an "equipment upgrade" would require another 3 year contract, since we were already subscribing to the service. Based on this, I will not recommend this company. Seems like a questionable way to treat long time customers. I might have to bite the bullet on this one, but I'll communicate my disappointment to the company, and any prospective customer that asks me about my experience with Vector.

They were relentless in pushing me into a contract from a client that did not want their services from the sale of a home purchase, promising top-notch service that I never received. The moment I tried to cancel, it became an absolute nightmare. Their customer service was unresponsive, and the process to exit the contract was like navigating a labyrinth. It's infuriating that a company would prioritize locking customers into contracts over delivering on their promises. This experience has left me feeling deceived and trapped. I urge anyone considering their services to think twice and explore more trustworthy options. Vector Security Company's business practices are nothing short of unethical.

United States | 21 July 2023I have been a customer of vector security for over 20 years. I pay in full every year my service contract. For the most part the system has been reliable. But, whenever there is an issue or problem it takes sometimes several weeks to get a technician who knows what they are doing to come to our home. I also have an ADT system at another location. They typically respond faster. Just be aware these vendors are quick to take your money, but very slow when you need them for repairs.

The salesman tell you everything you want to hear, but they’re so much more, he fail to mentioned, once you put your signature on the dotted line ..you are in for a turbulence !! The system constantly having issues, salesman don’t tell you everything you need to know. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone. If you military like me getting out of a contract is nearly impossible , it’s like they want you to stay with this company .. oh the salesman don’t talk about that either! Im paying for an equipment I disconnected about a month ago, but guess what no one contacted me to ensure safety ..I’m using Vinvint as of the moment and it’s super awsome !! Honor the military I think not!!please anyone thinking of getting vector read the contract and ask questions !! Or stay the hell away.. I’m still trying to get my issues resolved .. fights goes on !!!

United States | 05 June 2023I've been a customer of Vector since 2005 & they've been great BUT, Since 3 G went away & I had to get a new keypad I've had nothing but problems. Everytime they do an update & "improve" things something doesn't function. On May 5 I went into the hospital. My friends came over to feed my cat. When they put their code in they were told it was wrong. they each tried & finally calld me & I gave them my code. During this 10-15 minutes no call came from Vector & no police showed up. When I returned home everything seemed okay but when I checked to see why my friends couldn't key in I discovered they had all been deleted. Vector then did another "improvement" & I lost everything. Called tech & discovered there was no communication between my keypad & vector. Had to wait a week for the tech to come out & reboot my key pad. I have been unable to contact Vector either by phone or online. Can't delete or reenter my friends codes. I've left my phone # to have them call back & I've been waiting 4 days. My next call willl be to CANCELLATION.

United States | 14 February 2023Dont use them if its a weekend house., They wont service your alarm on weekends, But when they sold me system and later i added, they had weekend service to come. So they promise you the world for a sale but then youre out of luck if there are an issues . When you get new system they are so accommodating. They give you a personal sales rep who calls you back with but once its installed, forget about getting any call backs.,

Devon from tech support was very rude and wants callers to be alarm technicians when you call. Made mistake switching from Brinks

United States | 14 December 2022Customer service is great they are really nice and helpful.But I been having numerous problems with my system still my notifications is not working on my phone for the cameras..he's been here several times and still can't figure it out..Thinking of canceling if not fixed...why pay for something that doae not work right...sorry
