We'd been looking for a Smeg built-in coffee machine for some time (to replace a steam oven that's never even been switched on), and the Appliance Depot were advertising one at a very good price. I was able to buy it over the phone, and delivery was organised for the following week. As we were his 2nd delivery of the day, it was quite early (06.15), but enabled me to get the machine installed in time for our morning coffee. The unit was described as 'used, with a little cosmetic damage' but it looks immaculate. A couple of accessories were missing, but these were dispatched to us the following day without question. We were supported through the whole process by Laura - first rate customer service throughout. Now - anyone want a never-used steam oven?

Bought Smeg intergrated fridge what was slightly Damaged with a very substantial reduction £170. From first contact they were very helpful enabling me to order over the phone to keeping me inform when delivery was happening and phoning day of delivery. Driver was a lovely guy wouldnt let me do anything chatting with me all the time very pleasant. I would highly recommend this company and will be using them again.

Inadvertently purchased a regraded SMEG microwave. I had wanted to purchase a new one. Too late to change once mistake realized. Well packaged but not in box. Delivered on pallet. No problems. The "quality report" left inside the appliance listed faults we couldn't find. What was obvious to the naked eye immediately however was three solder points of four to attach the support bar to four fingers of the grill element had come adrift. Does not say much about quality control. To be repaired under warranty but inconvenient to say the least. Pity

I bought a refurbished Smeg range cooker 02/12/24 delivered to Kent 10/12. They only deliver to Kent once a week and have a 1 man/van crew. You get an email the day before telling you you'll need to help with the delivery!! I've met 2 of the drivers who are very nice guys and didn't ask me to help but it's very challenging for 1 person to deliver a large machine and may lead to damage. The cooker stopped working on 24/12 (yep!!!). It was under warrantee, the process was all quite smooth but of course no one was available to come out. A very nice Smeg engineer talked me through the problem over the phone and gave me a 'work around' (opening the oven door everso slightly) we limped through Christmas. It was a problem with the door closer (reading the reviews - it sounds like I may have got the machine that someone else returned!!) The Smeg guy said it's a known problem and should have been fixed before it got to me. AD left me to it so I chased up Smeg for an update after Xmas - they weren't able to tell me if/when a part would be delivered. When I rang AD they made out I'd done something wrong by talking to the Smeg guy (who really saved my life). I was pretty worried I'd got a duff cooker so I looked on-line to find out my position - it turns out I could just return it like it's a new product (relief). It also turns out the AD should make this clear (i.e. it's the LAW that they should make it clear) so they should have told me this when I first rang them and display it clearly on their website - do you know it's about as well hidden as it could be! I rang back to ask for a refund, which they agreed to but the woman I spoke to was rude and acted like she was doing me a favour. I reported this poor service and have never got a response. I then had to limp through NYE (all the time the work around getting less effective). By this time the next Tuesday delivery/collection slot was booked and the next week they were delivering on a Monday not a Tuesday (!) and I wasn't available. They booked me in the the next week, didn't confirm it, I rang to confirm and was told I'd be the first appointment, when no one had arrived by mid-morning I had the phone number of the driver from the original delivery and he told me he'd broken down and had only just left - so he'd got up at the crack of dawn and still had to diver to Kent and back - sounds unsafe to me! I couldn't wait any longer cancelled the collection. By this time it's been about 4 weeks since I originally reported the oven as faulty - they should (i.e. the LAW says) refund me within 14 days, which is clearly so you don't have to deal with nonsense like this, which they wouldn't do. I'd paid £60 for an electrician to connect and then disconnect the faulty oven which of course they wouldn't refund, even though I had to pay that again for a new oven. I bought another oven so I had a great big oven I my house, in the way! I waited in 3 times to sort this out - obviously no compensation for my time. Any I had to deal with a rude person. There's just too much to go wrong, it goes wrong with this company and they clearly don't care.

Purchased a Smeg range cooker (Nov 2023) that was graded due to 'no packaging'. When it arrived it also had a number of scratches. More importantly it failed within a few months (microswitch on door). Smeg engineers attended and fixed. A few months later it failed again (same reason) and Smeg engineers highlighted that in fact the doors were misaligned and the frame was bent.  It was returned twice to Appliance Depot to be repaired. The first time they did nothing except keep it for a week and it had the same fault when it was returned. At this point Steve (manager?) was very aggressive on the phone. After the second time it was returned to them it worked for a couple more months but then failed again (same fault). This was Dec 2024 and by now it's out of warranty and they don't want to know. I would never deal with this company again.

No manufacturers warranty!! The graded products they sell with 1 year warranty, they FAIL to clarify that this is NOT manufacturers warranty. If something goes wrong you need to send the item to their warehouse for fixing. Be aware this means at least 2 days off work if you work Mon-Frid like the majority of us. Expect to be requested to be at home from 6am to 6 pm for collection and delivery, and it needs to be the days they are in the area, not when is convenient for you. And then wait for the item for at least a week, as they are probably in your area only one day per week.

After seeing my review, they called me immediately and told me they won’t repair the product and just give me my money back. They also blamed me for the damage now. The team lacks integrity and professionalism. No wonder why so many businesses don’t succeed anymore.

I bought a Freezer from this company about a year ago. The first thing that went wrong was; a note on the machine saying some thing was wrong, didn't say what ? Contacted The Appliance Depot, they said that I should contact their warranty company. Which I did, they came & fiddled about, & somehow removed the notice. But didn't know how they did it ? They suggested that the temperature was set too high. It was set to - 24, [as received by Appliance Depot]. They reset it to - 18. At minus - 18 the contents were almost melting, the top of the freezer was just about OK, the bottom of the freezer was less than freezing. I reported back to Appliance Depot, they said it wasn't their problem, & to get back to the warranty people, also to contact NordMende in Ireland the supplier to Appliance Depot. I got the warranty company in again, & again twice. I had to put down the temperature to - 24. At this temperature it was freezing at top, but at the bottom. We put some bread at the bottom, it was mildew after 2 weeks. The warranty company, said that it may need a flush & refill of the liquid that does the freezing ? This never happened. They also said that they had sent a message to NordeMande to refund our money. I contacted Appliance Depot again to let them know about this. Their comment [ as usual ] we haven't heard from them, we can't do anything until we do, you will have to go back to them. I contacted NordeMende, they pushed me back to the warranty company, & the warranty co. have now ignored me. I am now stuck with a freezer, where only half is used. I am considering taking The Appliance Depot to the small claims court, [ I have taken a company to the small claims court before, & won, but never got my money. ] So I really do not know what to do. But if anybody is thinking to buy from The Appliance Depot, think twice !!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Dreadful customer service. Their driver arrived at my property at 5:35am and caused significant damage to my property in his vehicle, which I witnessed and took photographic evidence of immediately. I spoke to their team, who were at first very helpful, but when it came to rectifying the issue, they refused. Their driver Ben denied all knowledge and would not accept responsibility and their manager Steve has refused to accept responsibility despite the overwhelming evidence. Having been a regular customer, I will not be shopping here again and have shared this very poor experience with others.
