United Kingdom | 05 May 2023Our first time with The Appliance Depot and I’m very happy. The descriptions were honest (we bought three appliances of different categories), the prices were great and the delivery was spot on. We’ll be back!

United Kingdom | 19 April 2023I inspected and collected a new NEFF compact oven from appliance depots office/warehouse. The appliance was sold without packaging and at a good discount. When I arrived home I noticed some very small marks on the handle and one on the glass front that we had missed. The meat temperature probe was also missing. I then spoke to John the manager and, after checking with his warehouse staff, he made a reasonable offer for the slight damage, which was refunded to me the same day. He also ordered a neff meat probe, which I received the following week. I am happy with the service and the price I paid.

United Kingdom | 21 March 2023After looking at the crazy prices to replace our ancient range cooker I found an ex demo from The Appliance Depot. Not only was there a significant discount off a brand new model they were offering a further 10% discount online. Ordering was simple and efficient. We were soon contacted to arrange delivery and contacted again 30 minutes prior to arrival. The lad delivering the range was polite, courteous and informative. I was amazed how quickly we were able to get the huge, heavy range from the van to the kitchen and he was a credit to the company. After a quick check over the item was exactly as described. All communication with the company has been excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the Appliance Depot and will definitely use again.

United Kingdom | 09 March 2023Bought a cooker advertised with a rotisserie but when it arrived, no rotisserie. I was then sent what was basically a skewer and after further correspondence told to turn it by hand! Then advised to take it up with Smeg who say oven does not have a rotisserie. I forwarded this to them and they have stopped replying. Thanks for the reply, not for my oven though. Now it’s been escalated when do you think I might be contacted? I guess the managers are very busy

United Kingdom | 04 March 2023AVOID! Bought 2 items from them. Both had issues. A dishwasher that was in such a state I had it sent back straight away which put my kitchen fit back a week. They couldn't pick up so it sat in my hallway for 2 weeks. No compensation received. I also bought an oven which was meant to be ex-display. It broke down after a month, and the Smeg engineer came out. When he opened it up it was clearly the victim of a poor refurb job. Again, no compensation offered.

United Kingdom | 02 March 2023Please do read the negative reviews on this company as they totally sum up my experience. Do not take any notice of any reviews on the site they e mail you about as you are offered £100.00 competition to put a review, no sooner the item arrives, before you have chance to even plug it in. Interestingly enough I attempted to put a review on there and upload pictures but when I entered my purchasing e mail address it would not continue. I purchased £899.00 of damaged packaging only brand new Smeg combi oven from the Appliance Depot. … and have never had any use from it at all, the initial oven tripped the electrics on reaching heat… the company of course delay in calling out an engineer … I waited 2 months … engineer says unrepairable….delays in exchange … get another oven point out to the driver the damage he responds “oh they are all like that” …. Have it wired again electrics trip …. More waiting for an engineer, engineer says it is unrepairable because of damage…. By which time you are fed up of being without an oven and paying for electricians to wire in and unwire for exchange and you request a refund…. At which point you get the “manager” Steve stating that they have managed to repair the original machine you purchased and it would fully checked before being sent out….. eventually exchange date is arranged….. an even more damaged machine arrives so dented at the back that wires are exposed, I refused delivery at which point the delivery driver called the office. I was told by the woman that “I had to receive the range cooker as my guarantee had run out”. Yes she could not even get the appliance right, she then instructed the driver to dump it on my doorstep. I have written a letter of complaint that same day but have yet to have a response. Whilst I can see that customer services have tried to “placate” a reviewer on here that all their goods have a manufacturers warranty this of course does not cover damaged goods. It is very interesting that they are indeed selling on e bay using a different name for their shop there. It is very clear that this company have no understanding of trading standards or consumer rights and please do not exchange they will certainly exchange for something even more damaged. Please, please report this shop to trading standards I have to respond to your response, have never received a response to my letter of compliant. I did get a response from the further letter regarding court action “it was your machine and had no damage”, so please do not bother escalating. I REFUSED DELIVERY because it was damaged. I have since purchased an oven that is working perfectly, not damaged and therefore not tripping my electrics. I did indeed purchase the oven in February 2022 as you are aware and had it installed in November 2022. I had the electrics checked twice by two independent electricians at my expense. It was the Smeg engineers that said there were faults with the ovens with the elements and as such it is truly amazing that you are able to “repair” them as Smeg say differently. Although a damaged oven was dumped on my doorstep, it apparently has a warranty which as I stated is useless for “damaged goods” and this company is in complete breach of trading standards and consumer rights.

United Kingdom | 24 February 2023It is a scam don't use this website. They are selling faulty appliances with no warranty.

United Kingdom | 17 February 2023I ordered a washing machine from appliance depot, the next day I had a call from whirlpool to say it was out of stock and delivery would be at least 5 or more days which was no use to me and I asked them to cancel the order and give me a refund. The next day I had a text from ebay about delivery. I was shocked that was three companies involved. I went to the bank because I thought it might be a scam. I still havnt got my money back. I definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND you don't know who you are dealing with. I am having to go back to my bank to claim my money back.

United Kingdom | 08 February 2023I've put it as a 2 star because I've used The Appliance Depot once before with a very good experience purchasing an item for my father; and the initial purchase cost, quality of photos and delivery communication for this purchase was really good. Sadly the after care wasn't as good. I bought a great appliance at a great price with minimal cosmetic damage on the advert, until we discovered underlying issue, something that we couldn't have discovered checking on receipt of the item, only on installation. It had a few extra dents - no biggie, honestly - but we discovered a structural problem when trying to fit it into its hole in the kitchen. I tried to discuss either replacement or, at least, a short extension of the warranty to count for other potential issues that might arise due to the likely impact that caused this structural shift, and that was met with 'no', 'no' and repeated 'you should have told us within 48 hours of delivery', a 48 hour period that I had no knowledge of as I suspect most people don't. I did ask about where this was mentioned in any of the paperwork or invoice, and was told it was hidden in the Ts and Cs. I don't think it would have helped this case so much because I would have to have had it installed within 48 hours to see this issue, but it is helpful information that I could have used to either delay delivery until I got confirmation of the installation date or something like that. I'm not angry, just disappointed. I was really excited about finding this appliance before Christmas, it's just what we wanted and was just in time for Christmas, and discovering more wrong with it at install, and then being essentially ignored wasn't pleasant. I was initially told there was an investigation going on and that someone would contact me in the new year. Great! That didn't happen, so I rang a few times after that to be told that a manager would call me 'when they get in' to discuss the investigation/situation, and this never happened. Ultimately, I was told there was nothing they had to do, so they wouldn't do anything to either remedy or mitigate potential knock on issues, and ultimately that was said in quite a gleeful manner, which wasn't deserved. If there are no additional problems with the appliance, you get a really good experience with these guys, but the after care for this unconventional case was disjointed and a shame. I won't be using again

United Kingdom | 07 February 2023I bought my smeg dishwasher at Appliance Depot and I am absolutely delighted with it much cheaper than anywhere else and delivery was a dream. I will definitely buy from them again without hesitation I can’t recommend them highly enough.

United Kingdom | 26 January 2023Recently bought a Britannia RC-9SG-QL-S 90Cm Dual Fuel Range Cooker at a great price. Had not use The Appliance Depot previously so was bracing myself for the ‘too good to be true’ rebound! However, ordered and paid late on Monday eve, they phoned on Tues and it was delivered on Thurs as promised. Hope I don’t get driver in to trouble but he was exemplary and even helped manoeuvre packed item into our hall. Have not had reason to use Customer Services but as far as getting a deal, ordering and delivering I cannot fault them.

United Kingdom | 18 January 2023Terrible! Bought a combi microwave and the day before delivery it “apparently” fell off the lorry and broke so I had to buy a replacement one which was more expensive to be able to still have it delivered on time. I was willing to accept this as bad luck until the replacement arrived soaking wet in the box then used 4 times and it’s completely broke after 2 weeks! It also came with a European plug So I have had to use an adapter otherwise will take it out of warranty if I changed the plug! Hoover have been out to look at it and have said it’s not been stored correctly and is written in Russian down the side which isn’t normal! They are Refusing to exchange even tho it was within the 28days of delivery so by law I should get a new one. They are claiming that it is past the 28 days as delivered 25th nov and hoover came to look at it 9th jan (earliest they could come sue to Xmas) but I called to log the complaint and booked for a an engineer through hoover on 16th dec! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

United Kingdom | 24 November 2022Do NOT use this company. I bought a Britannia range from them but when it broke there was no follow up service. This company did not know where to refer me and when they did find someone to refer me to, the person who came to do the repair said they don’t work on graded appliances. I called and spoke with Appliance Depot management and he said that was incorrect. The bottom line was that I could not get the Britannia range fixed. For more than a year, I was without full cooking facilities. I ended up having to buy a brand new range — And I regret that I bought a Smeg range from them. Just a few times after using the left hand oven, the seal came off. Oven unusable. A few times after using the right hand oven, the internal glass door stared popping out and then actually fell off onto by he floor — hot glass on the floor, and we have a child here! . I asked Appliance Depot for assistance in fixing these issues and in what they called a “good will gesture” they sent me some tiny parts probably worth only pennies or a few pounds at most. I fixed the glass door problem myself but needed help installing the seal for the left hand door. Finally, today, I was able to get someone to come to fix the seal on the left hand cavity. It was the wrong seal! I called the company and told them and spoke to Amy. She kept repeating that they sent me what I asked for and only did so as a “good will gesture” as it was past 28 days since purchase and there was no warranty. I pointed out that we have spent thousands of pounds at their shop (dishwasher, fridge, ranges (now two!) washer, dryer) and that I had been a good customer and did not appreciate being treated in this way. She first said to ship the wrong seal back to them and they’d send me the correct one and then became huffy and said because, in her opinion, I’d been rude to her (it was like beating my head against a wall as I kept telling her that what they sent did not fit and she kept repeating the good-will defence and that they sent what I asked them to send) that I had to go to Smeg. Punishment for staying one’s view about them. I wouldn’t trust these people. They do not appear to know the left from the right. In the long term, in my opinion, it is a waste of money to buy from them. Better to go to a reputable vendor, get decent warranties and decent follow up service. Good will gestures? NO!

United Kingdom | 16 November 2022One to one contact very quickly after order via phone, then backed up with clear emails. Kept me informed post order through to delivery. A pleasure to deal with, and pricing was very competitive. Thank you from a very satisfied customer.

United Kingdom | 01 October 2022We were sceptical at first buying from The Appliance Depot. Once we placed our order for the Bosch washer dryer we were contacted for a delivery date and Amy confirmed that the machine was free of any damage. Delivery was on time and the driver was friendly and helpful with unpacking. Although it was described as ex display and repackaged it was obvious that it was still in its original Bosch packaging with all seals, protection tapes and bands untouched. Even with a delivery cost we saved a considerable amount on the price we would have to pay at a national retailer. Definitely use this company again for white goods.

France | 15 September 2022Just opened the oven to put in a new kitchen. Two huge dents on the front at eye level. Oven sold as no damage. Obviously not. Obviously not inspected properly so leaves me wondering if the grading of appliances is just a tick box exercise as there is no way you could miss these dents on the front panel. Hugely disappointing. Won't trust this company again.

United Kingdom | 19 August 2022Great experience item arrived as stated and looks perfect. We have not tried the washer yet as it has to be plumbed in, but up to now no problem everything is as it stated . The young driver was really helpful and nothing was to much trouble for him, We will not hesitate to use this company again.

United Kingdom | 13 August 2022I have never used the Appliance Depot before and initially I was a little resitent about buying a damaged product. After assuring myself that the defect would not be visible once the freezer had been built in to kitchen I took the decision to go ahead with the purchase. The end result was that I purchased a top quality product for a fraction of the recommended price, I am very pleased with my purchase and I would have no hesitation in recommending the App Depot.
