Do NOT use. I bought a cheaper but still very expensive microwave. It couldn't be immediately installed because of Covid. When it was it was found to be faulty. I contacted customers services who were initially helpful. When they couldn't fix the issue over the phone they started to ignore my communications. They then told me it was too late to either refund or fix the issue and refused to answer my emails. I am now stuck with a Smeg microwave that doesn't do anything. A shambles of a company. Avoid at all costs.

Update 04/07-All has been resolved but I wouldn’t use them again. ——————————————————- Poor products and even worse customer service. Bought 5 items, 3 of 5 were faulty or missing pieces. A.Hob sold as natural gas which was in-fact LPG B. Extractor fan- simply dead C. Sink- missing chopping boards After a combined 4 visits SMEG sorted A and B, took up loads of my time to get it sorted. C. Not resolved next stop CCJ Overall I can safely say, this company cannot take a complaint, any slight problem you may raise is met with aggression. This expands to more than one member of staff and the infamous “manager”. You have to email and chase things so many times and endure aforementioned aggressive customer service . Based on all the issues someone bringing so much custom has had you’d think there might just be a slight bit of empathy but there certainly isn’t. Finally on the point of C they initially tried to say it had been too long since reporting the issue, looking at other reviews I don’t seem to be the only person who has had to put a project on hold during COVID and any reasonable retailer would understand this. May even report for un-fair trading during COVID.

This is a rip off company!!! Do NOT use. Customer service dose not exist here !! This is about giving you crap damage items just a bit cheeper then new then try to lie and shift the blame Afterwards. They will take you for a ride and eat the money like is ice cream on a warm day. Best is get new get your warranty and can rest happily. If you like to bang your head against a wall then go ahead and buy.

I needed a washing machine for a property I am in the process of renovating. Something of good quality but within a tight budget. Compact dimensions also required. I saw just the machine I wanted on the Appliance Depot website, effectively half price because it was 'lightly used' and with extra Black Friday reduction. I rang for more information and was delighted with the helpful response I received. Delivery took about two weeks (I live some distance away) but this also suited me. Good communication throughout, lovely delivery driver (although a very early morning wake up call!) and machine just as described. I would certainly shop here again.

I was a bit nervous about buying a graded appliance (integrated dishwasher) so called ahead of ordering to ask about the faults. I had a quick and competent reply and ordered online. Delivery was about two weeks, I had a call to arrange and reminder texts. All went smoothly and it arrived well packaged and in excellent condition, just as promised. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from here again.

Bought a dryer. Average retail about £730. Bought for £611 - so good price. Graded, but only minor appearance issues that aren't seen anyway. 1st item arrived as promised. Good delivery service. After 1st dry... water leaking out of machine. Got in touch with the appliance depot at just after 5. Whilst they took details, management had left so nothing could be done. Not an issue as not life and death!! Promise of a call back the next day. Emailed them anyway with photos. As promised, next day for a phone call. Very quickly offered a replacement without quibble. Delivery arranged via third party courier. A second date arranged for them to collect broken item. Replacement item then delivered as expected... installed and worked perfectly. Broken item picked up as promised. So my experience, they kept to promises. Resolved issues. Now in receipt of a fully working machine which was cheaper than I could find anywhere else. Only reason not 5 stars is because that would have had to have been 1st item working without fault. I would use again

We bought a graded Smeg range oven A4-8, it was really easy to order and communicate with the company. All staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. We had to make a few calls and every time they solved our problems in a professional way. We are delighted with the oven and when we couldn't solve a problem, which ended up being a very minor issue, Steve went out of his way to send a Smeg engineer to make sure that everything was working. Both my husband and I dealt with Steve, in our opinion he went above and beyond to ensure that we were completely satisfied. We would without hesitation recommend J &S Applicances Ltd for their service and the graded products. We saved a lot of money and could not be happier. If you want an oven you MUST get in touch with J &S Appliances. The Dobsons, Petts Wood, Kent

I just bought a graded Smeg from the Appliance Depot at a huge discount compared to the same product elsewhere. The small dint is hidden next to a unit and so this was perfect for us. They kept us fully informed of the delivery date and time. Andy the delivery man was a real trooper and had us all laughing. I would recommend this company without any reservations whatsoever.

Bought a machine and I encountered a problem. Tried to contact the Company daily for a week and I was promised return calls and nothing. It was an expensive item. Sadly this is now turning into a unnecessary dispute. Their disputing arguments are not entirely correct making my case easy to justify.

Bought graded Smeg hob. When fitted, one burner wasn’t working so phoned Appliance depot. They would contact Smeg as item had 1 year parts and warranty. It’s taken almost a month, and I have to say, Steve has been helpful in getting the fault rectified (Smeg and their engineers “Northumbria Technical Services” are the ones that have caused the massive delay) the product is a decent hob at a decent price. Shame about the issues but that’s Smeg and NTS rather than appliance depot

Just wanted to say how how great the guy who delivered my fridge was today, I think his name was Jay. He was on time and just really helpful and friendly. Made the whole experience of buying with J&S Appliances a great experience. Highly recommended.

...when it clearly wasn't. We ordered a Bosch Microwave from The Appliance Depot which by their classification was A grade. The delivery of the appliance was fine, it was delivered as promised on time. Upon installing the microwave we noticed that the open/close button for the microwave was not even attached to the microwave, not sure how this got through inspection. So we dropped Appliance Depot an email to ask what the RMA procedure was as the item was faulty on arrival. We received no response, so we had to follow up with a phone call. They advised that they would not take the item back as it first had to be seen by an engineer, so we had to wait a few days for an engineer to come out, who then ordered a replacement button which had to come from Germany, this took another week. When the part arrived a different engineer came to fit it. He fitted the part no problem, but noticed the door was rubbing slightly and then he noticed the chassis was slight bent. This was a bit annoying. So once he put the case on, I suggested that we test the appliance before we install it, upon testing this, it turned out the microwave function did not even work. The Bosch engineer advised that he would recommend no further engineer fixes for the appliance and to have it replaced, as it shouldn't have so many faults from new. When we contacted them again by phone, the person on the phone was quite rude and advised we'd have to return the item ourself and arrange our own courier which was bizarre. In the end we had to send an email quoting the Consumer Rights Act and the 30 day right to reject an item by law to get them to do something. Even then they didn't respond to the email, we had to again follow up with a phone call. They did in the end collect the item from us and refund us the full amount. It was tempting to buy from these guys as the item was £60 cheaper than anywhere else online, but in all honesty we should have just paid full price and bought it from a reputable well know retailer, which we did in the end with AO.com. It cost us way more than £60 in our time running around and messing our builders around who couldn't finish our kitchen off. I'm sure if you live local to where these guys are based, you can pop down and have a look and check stuff out easily. However if you live far away from them like we do, I'd be very wary from buying here to save a few quid. I've given 2 stars because the last person we spoke to did resolve our issue and organise refund and collection. However some of the staff there just didn't know what they were doing when speaking on the phone. My advise to Appliance Depot would be to send your staff on a customer service course, communication is key when dealing with issues like this.

I placed my order on 9th August on the company's actual website and paid £30 for delivery. There was no contact for three days until they emailed me using my paypal email address (which I don't use except for paypal so I didn't receive it). After a week I felt this was taking too long so I looked up my order information and emailed a request for a delivery update and gave my phone number. Eventually finally I received a phone call; there was no apology for the delay, I was made to feel like it was my own fault there even was a delay and I was pressured to wait even longer for my order (over a week! when I had already waited 8 days!) as that's when they would be in my area anyway and thus it would be free for them to deliver. When I was unhappy with this I was told it's their policy to not post anything without a telephone number and they expect the customer to ring them to organise delivery despite not requiring this/ notifying me when placing the order. I was told "what if you're not in and they can't deliver, that costs me money" - despite the fact that I paid for delivery so it shouldn't be costing them anything! The person I spoke to was rude and condescending and when I wouldn't back down and he didn't win he accused me of shouting (I know categorically I did not, plus someone listening to my end of the conversation said afterwards I wasn't). As I was away for the day on the date they wanted to deliver they sent my items by a third party carrier. I had to wait another three working days (plus a weekend) from the phone call for my items to arrive; that was 22nd August, almost two weeks between order and delivery. It was just a total mess up from every angle and the only reason I gave two stars at all is that at least I have my items here now. If I hadn't planned ahead and ordered early I would have been left stranded waiting two weeks without vital parts to my kitchen renovation.

I was searching on Google and found this site advertising a particular Britannia range cooker at a competitive price. I noticed the website is an approved Britannia online internet partner, so I picked up the phone and asked for a quote. I was put through to John by a nice lady who said that he was the expert on the Britannia ranges. John was very helpful and sufficiently answered any questions I had about the cooker. After striking a deal the range was delivered directly by the companies home delivery service who were very good and placed where I wanted it which was in my kitchen. The whole shopping experience from purchase to delivery was a pleasant experience. I would definitely use them again for my future electrical appliance purchases.
