United States | 15 May 2024The whole buying experience was confusing. The pricing of the contact lenses were too good to be true. I should have known better and I hope others will learn from my mistake and do more research before they make a purchase from here. If you have insurance (I have VSP), it is definitely more cost effective to buy from an in network provider as they will pay the full allowance towards an in network provider. In this case, I paid around $222 for the contact lenses and then they slapped on $222 for "handling" fees and $13 for shipping fees at checkout. I still thought that I'd be able to to claim for the full amount of $457 to get as much as possible out of my insurance claim since it is out of network and therefore less money will be paid towards the claim. However, Opticontacts does not generate your insurance form until after an order is processed (and therefore too late...). At that point I found out that I can only claim the amount of the contact lenses materials (not the handling fees) and you can't even return your order since you lose out on the excessive handling fees. Overall, learn from my mistake and especially if you have insurance, just go to an in network authorized retailer. It makes the whole process much less confusing and you won't lose out on insurance money.

So that was a big save to begin with. Then he went through all the options, patiently explaining everything, and us deciding what we wanted. Then he streamlined everything to more than our satisfaction so that the order was corrected to what we should have placed in the first place. Truly an exceptional experience, and easily will make us want to continue with OptiContacts. (We were already frequent customers, but this experience cements it for us.)

I did the live chat option and Gabby responded. Gabby immediately recognized the mistake, ordered new lenses and had them expedited. It was my mistake and she never even blinked-just fixed it. I typically order from wherever is the cheapest, but I am now a loyal OptiContacts customer! Customer service has really fallen by the wayside in my opinion and this really felt good. On top of that I couldn’t afford to replace, so I’d have had to go without for a while until I could save the money. I genuinely teared up when she said it. Thank you OptiContacts for having a policy that allowed the rep to help me! Thank you Gabby!!!!

I would have been better off ordering from another company that doesn’t use deceptive processing fees and would have been reimbursed for the total price of my contacts. Would never order from Opticontacts or recommend. Very scammy.

United States | 07 May 2024I originally didn’t order from us to Contacts because I had another company that I used, but unfortunately that company did not respond to my request for when my order is going to be shipped so therefore I order it through a company that I knew I was gonna get my contacts lenses in time before the other ones expired. Interaction was perfect and I got my contacts within a few days. Definitely gonna order again from these people and customer service is excellent.
