Our system needs 2 guys to do our maintenance as the siren bell outside is high up and needs a ladder to check it. I always remind admin of this when the appointment is booked but invariably only one guy turns up so that a repeat appointment has to be made and we have to stay in another day. It would have happened again this time but luckily though our appointment was for pm we were at home in the morning and someone phoned and said they could come in 20 minutes. Answering the phone my husband checked that it was 2 guys coming and once again it was only one. Luckily there was another maintenance man nearby who was phoned so 2 could come. Then looking at my record card they saw that I had had 2 visits this year (1 for inside 1 guy and then repeat 2 guys to do siren outside) though the year before had been missed completely! This latest appointment had been a computer generated one, so there is obviously sometimes a gap in the admin records about when maintenance needs doing and how many operatives need to attend. It's a shame as otherwise I could give 5 star reviews.

This company is a joke. Two annual maintenance inspections arranged. On neither occasion did they turn up with no notification. Wasted two full days waiting in for them. Do not have the decency to call and apologise just generic email and text messages asking to rebook. Very happy to take annual fees but then provide no service. They clearly prioritise new business and leave existing customers hanging. DO NOT subscribe with them it’s a waste of money

Engineer left 2 windows open when leaving. One of the windows could not be closed because the closing mechanism was stuck in the sash which indicates that he knew about the problem and did not report it to the owner of the property present at that time. Also the person did not give a comfortable safety feeling with the female owner of the property.

Although the alarm system, its monitoring and the key holding service were extremely good, contract cancelling is definitely not. We moved to a new flat which has a security system in common with other flats in the same building but with 8 months remaining on our contract period. Banham gives no refund, unlike other firms we dealt with. All they do is allow a credit against other Banham services. Because our new flat is in a gated development, has the building security system and is outside of London and Surrey, a Banhams credit is of no use to us. Effectively Banham is just charging us but giving us nothing in return. I think there is a name for that.

On October 28th Banham scheduled out installation for Oct 30. On Oct 29th they cancelled the installation because of an issue with the warehouse. A month later Banham still hasn’t sorted the issue or provided any timeline. Banham’s has been checking with the warehouse for a month.

Appointment changed as a result of engineer unavailability. Came on time for rearranged visit but no advance notification of likely attendance time. Service visit quick and engineer knowledgeable and friendly.

Kept informed- lots of reminders - alerted to eta on the day. Individual was effective, effective, cheerful and friendly. Explained what was being done, asked if any questions or issues. Very good impression. Way better than many utility companies
