They were late and didn't ring me to say they would be turning up. We had to ring the Banham Group switch board and I was cut off twice and had call out of hours service to get any information if the engineer would turn up.When they turned up they didn't do the full service as stated on the attendance report which they signed. They didn't even have their own steps to carry out the inspection.

Your Engineer arrived promptly and very courteous. Checked all the alarm points and tested. Gave some good advice when I asked some questions, very knowledgeable about the system. Very easy to talk to.

Banham give you either a morning or afternoon slot for your maintenance visit. We have been customers for many years and until recently the service has been OK although pricey. Our service was due last month in the afternoon so we waited most of the afternoon and finally got a message to say the engineer wasn’t attending because no-one was in - they’d been coming to us for years and we were definitely in. Called Banham who rescheduled for today, promising there wouldn’t be another hiccup. Waited around until 3:30 to be told the engineer was tied up on an earlier job and wouldn’t be able to attend. Now we’re rescheduled for the end of the month, again promised that nothing can possibly happen to prevent the visit. I leave you to guess how convinced I am by that promise!! A PS…I was offered a £50 compensation payment on the phone yesterday and told this would be confirmed. It’s not much but nevertheless no such confirmation. After hiccups extending back 24 months - including 3 visits last year in the same week to deal with the same issue (!) I’m worried that Something is going wrong inside Banham alarms and wondering if I should start looking for another firm to take over the system.

Banham charges £325 plus VAT for door rehanging. This is on top of lock fitting. The surveyor justified this charge by telling me that for door rehanging " we have to send out a carpenter as well as the locksmith." So two people. In the event, just a locksmith turned up, but Banham are trying to charge me £325 plus vat anyway. I've been emailing and phoning Banham customer service since 16th May for an answer, but no reply and/or an answer which just ignores my question. Hopeless and very frustrating customer service. I wouldn't use Banham again. Since posting this I've had a very prompt and helpful response from Banham's head of customer relations, for which I'm grateful.

I did have some minor problems with cutting the key on Kensington High Street but thankfully was all resolved thanks to brilliant customer service and store manager. Best locks out there to be honest and happy with the purchase I made.
