I am a director at Ellingham Close RTM. We have an entry system managed by you for our privately owned retirement complex. Your care and service leaves much to be desired. We have vulnerable 90 year old residents and one block has been left without the security of the entry system for over a month. You were due to visit this morning. 02/10/2024. Once again you emailed this morning and cancelled. We have lodged a formal complaint about the lack of service but now I wish to escalate this and make directors aware about the lack of care and understanding that is being portrayed by the company.

I've had Banham installed at my house for years. I was told that they would be in for annual maintenance today from 8:30am to 1:00pm. I got several reminders via email and text in advance telling me that the slot is confirmed. A 4.5 hour timeslot isn't ideal but I stay home from work just to accommodate. At 1:00pm, I have received no calls or updates. I call Banham, and I'm put on hold for 30 minutes only to be told that they cannot reach the engineer. I ask to speak to someone from the maintenance department and they finally put me through with Georgia, who's supposed to be in charge of alarms and maintenance. She finally tells me that the engineer is still at a job at a location that will take at least an hour to travel to my location, and that's assuming the engineer is already done with the previous job. Banham used to be a great service. I was impressed when they initially installed the alarm and their response time when we triggered the alarm by accident. But they have fallen very far in terms of service and capability. They are completely disrespectful of their customers' time. Setting a 4.5 hour timeslot is already questionable, but not being able to abide by it is completely reprehensible. Moreover, this incident has shown that their management is incompetent. A maintenance is really just changing batteries and doing a quick test to make sure everything still works. I've seen it done multiple times already. Assuming they take 30 minutes each with 30 minutes of travel time, that's only 8-10 customers a day that an engineer can service, and they can't even tell you exactly when the engineer would arrive? They can't even narrow it down to a 1-hour timeslot? It's not rocket science. Banham knows exactly how many sensors are in each location, and so they should know how long each maintenance takes. Even if there were multiple unexpected incidents for that particular engineer, they should have been able to tell me much earlier that they wouldn't be able to make it. To completely fumble an appointment like this has to be the result of both incompetence and negligence.
