United Kingdom | 23 October 2020Sadly still awaiting a refund from holiday paid for in February and cancelled by citrus due to Covid. Citrus say I can have refund, just not until January 2021! Breaches package travel regulations. I suggest other people in similar situation report to CMA and pursue section 75 or chargeback.

United States | 21 October 2020I found their special for Greece and forwarded to my daughter and her three friends. They wanted a trip to celebrate graduating medical school. In April 2020 their trip was canceled due to Covid and none of the girls got a refund. they would not answer their calls and letters. Shameful behavior. I did complain to travelzoo about advertising for them. They are thieves. Still no word from them in October. Incredibly dishonest.

United Kingdom | 20 October 2020Booked a holiday in January to travel to India in November this year. Paid £2200 deposit. Despite the fact that it was absolutely clear months ago that this trip could not happen Citrus insisted the £1800 balance be paid by the end of September or we would lose the £2200. Less than 3 weeks later and they called to cancel the holiday.....surprise surprise. I was asked to rebook the holiday for next year. I refused and asked for a full refund. I was then told that if I did not rebook the holiday they would not start to process the refund until March 31st 2021. UK law states travel companies must issue refunds for cancelled holidays within 14 days - Citrus point blank denied that this was the case, even though ABTA has confirmed it. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY - They are dishonourable to say the least. EDIT!! EDIT!! It is now 2 weeks after I wrote the original review above. Following a hunch, I contacted our flight provider Air India and asked them to confirm exactly WHEN they cancelled our flights and when they informed Citrus. Guess what? It turns out that the flights were cancelled and Citrus were sent notification of this BEFORE they demanded the balance payment....so they made me pay the balance for a holiday that they knew had already been cancelled by the airline!! Unbelievable. I immediately threatened legal action and instructed my (very helpful) bank to start a debit chargeback. 7 days later I was refunded in full. This is not the way to run a company, or to treat your customers.

Promised refund after the end of January, then within a further 15 days, then by the end of the following week (by 19th February), and STILL NOT PAID as at today. Original review as follows: September holiday finally cancelled due to Covid. Citrus insisted we paid the balance in June even though by then no chance of it going ahead. āPay or you will have cancelledā was their response then. Latest update is that we will get a refund sometime AFTER 31st January 2021. There was not an option in June for us to take a credit for the 50% we had paid at the end of last year, unlike someone else said they had been offered.

United Kingdom | 13 October 2020Itās rare that a good deal comes along and the deal delivers exactly what it says. I saw the deal on one of those last minute sites and booked immediately , that was on the Monday with us departing on the coming Sunday. A negative was our flight out of Stansted Airport. 7am Sunday morning, rain falling and weāre stood outside under a canopied walkway waiting to board. Got to the aircraft having booked and paid for the front extra legroom seats to find them literally under water. The seats had puddles, not small ones, of rain with the seatbelts lying in the puddles. The foot area also had a large puddle. No attempt was made to prevent the seats getting soaked. Sit over there, the flights not completely full, which upset the guy who should have been in those seats. As usual, as with all airlines, the seats were ridiculously u comfortable. Plus points and there were many. Arrived at Naples where a car should be waiting and as promised there it was. Off to Massa Lubrense the district of Sorrento where our hotel was. Itās a bit of a long drive but nice to see the sights on the way. Arrived at the hotel, Conca Azzurro Resort, very quiet, situated in a cove with high cliffs all around. Apart from being a bit out of the centre of Sorrento, which I didnāt mind as the hotel ran a shuttle bus if I wanted one, the hotel ticked all the boxes. Exceptionally clean, very nice clean rooms, wonderful staff who really made us welcome, wonderful and plentiful food, wonderful views. I could go on but Iām sure you get my drift. I loved the place. Well done and thank you to Paco and his staff. The return journey was as well organised as the outgoing. Iām already looking at booking for the early part of next year

I know they are based out of the U.K. and have branched out to North America, but this is not the way to deal with customers here if you EVER hope to have them come back!!! We purchased tickets back in November 2019 for four of us to go Greece in June 2020. One of those trips of a lifetime, but alas COVID struct and changed our plans. After dealing with Liam who confirmed that we would be getting a credit for the flight with Air Transat to use in 24 months. As well as a partial refund for the balance of the trip within 6 to 8 weeks; since the hotels had refunded them. It has now been four months and the only response we are getting from Solwyn as of yesterday is.....Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, our response remains the same i.e. your booking is in queue for processing. Where did the money go that the hotels sent back to them? I know things aren't easy, but who says they are easy for any of us that have lost jobs etc. Maybe this needs to be taken into consideration by these companies too! United Kingdom | 07 October 2020I have found Solwyn at Citrus holidays to be nothing but helpful, especially at the difficult time in March when we cancelled our holiday due to the mounting Covid situation in Italy at the time. We put back the hotel to November, but still do not feel comfortable about going . He has been very patient with us and has managed to change the booking again for us to September of next year. Nothing but praise!

Canada | 07 October 2020Clearly, in our case, both Citrus and Benz Travel have demonstrated no credibility to follow up on their promises. In November 2019, we booked and fully paid for a Citrus holiday departing mid June 2020. However, due to COVID the holiday had to be cancelled. Citrus offered a cash refund for a portion of the amount paid or credit. We choose to receive the cash refund and was told that the money would be deposited in our account within 6 to 8 weeks. It has now been over 16 weeks and the only response from the Citrus Administration has been that payment will be made soon with no definite commitment as to when. We have also received no response or statement from Benz Travel, the parent company of Citrus, as we were assured Benz backed up and provided security for Citrus Holidays.
