Booked holiday to South Africa on 1st March to travel early May. Given the run around when I requested my money back. Awful communication, tried to get me to write an email to them to say that I wished to cancel my holiday, which I guess would have affected my right to a full refund. In the end I had to get my money back from my credit card company. Avoid like the plague .....or perhaps I should say Covid 19 !

We did a two week touring holiday in Kerala with Citrus Holidays in February, Their organisation of the whole trip was exceptional and we felt totally safe and well looked after throughout. Our driver, Anil spoke very good English, was friendly and polite and was extremely keen to make sure that our stay in India was the best that it could be....nothing was too much trouble!! He was keen to tell us about and show anything that he thought would enrich our visit. When you consider just how many hours we spent travelling with him, we were genuinely sad to part company with him at the end of our holiday, we will recommend Citrus Holidays & will return to Kerala again Carolyn

We were due to go on holiday in April but it was cancelled in March due to COVID19. I am still waiting for my refund. I understand that companies may have difficulties due to the pandemic however to be ignored or when you do receive a response it is just lies is totally unacceptable. I have received refunds from other holiday companies but not Citrus. Unfortunately I would not recommend this company. Dear Citrus Holidays, The booking reference is 37151. I look forward to receiving my refund today!!!!

Trip to Sri Lanka in September As with another review below, booked the holiday in February. Have already paid a deposit of £1500 per couple at the time of booking and due to covid 19 asked for the holiday to be pushed back to next year (2 of the party are in their 50s and 2 in their late 60s). However, I was advised I would need to pay the cost of the whole holiday in order to move it and was asked to pay up before the balance was actually due. Very disappointing customer service. No regard for people or safety.

I was promised a full refund to our package holiday to Portugal more than 8 weeks ago. It was cancelled by them due to coronavirus. They promised to pay fully within 4 to 6 weeks instead of the 14 day legal limit and also were going to charge an admin fee for their troubles!!! Not one penny has been refunded as yet but they are still advertising for booking future holidays. Stay well away from this dishonest company.

Stay well away from this company everyone. Booked holiday to th he Galapagos which was cancelled due to coronavirus. Whilst other friends and family received a full refund for their cancelled holidays with other companies they still are illegally holding over £4000. Have been fobbed of many times and I am seeking legal advice. Everyone look at the reviews and stay well away.

Having holiday cancelled was understandable, having constant delays being refunded is not. This company has promised on several occasions to refund me but continue to hold on to my money which was paid to them over 9 months ago. Emails & many of them, show how they have tried to avoid repaying. Having informed them of my intention to proceed through Court they think (having seen their internal email by including me in a copy email) that they think this was a threat, it was not. Having waited 10 weeks, my advice is to allow them 2 weeks to repay as guided by government after that date do not delay and proceed with a County Court Judgement. £80 fee which they will have to pay plus you can charge interest.

Really disappointed with Citrus over our refund for a cancelled holiday due to COVID, we were E-mailed on 12 April with a refund voucher we could cash in in August despite already advising Jay prior to this that we wanted a full refund (my friend is self employed and needs the money) here we are over two months later and still no refund. I was contacted by someone from Citrus last week who was pretty rude and promised he`d send me an E-mail to help claim my refund (but it would take up to 30 days and we`d have to pay £25 admin fee which I refused) hence no E-mail has been received, I`m extremely disappointed with their customer care as I`ve travelled with them at least 4 times over the last 3 years, not the best way to keep a loyal customer happy

Kerala Solo traveller I have just returned from the 10 nights/11days citrus Kerala solo traveller tour in March it was outstanding. Our driver, Nishanth Kitten, knew the routes well, stopped along the way for photos and knew all the decent toilet stops! The scenery was gorgeous and the hotels, tours and food were excellent. We were not rushed and had time to explore on our own if we wished. As a group we had great fun. This was my first solo trip, it certainly won’t be my last. I will definitely be recommending Citrus Holidays.

Previous holiday with Citrus holidays was excellent so booked another trip with Victor who was very helpful and offered us many options. Also Alex who answered our follow up queries was patient and courteous, nothing was too much trouble for him.

I have just received a partial refund from Citrus, the remainder will be paid as soon as Qatar fulfill their refund policy. I have had to be patient but have been treated with courtesy and professionalism by Citrus staff in this very difficult time. I would have no hesitation in booking with Citrus again.

Booked a Sri Lanka holiday for my sisters 50th, great company until we could'nt get to Sri Lanka due to travel issues with Covid 19. Have tried to rebook holiday and have tried to get a refund but the company has not come forward. We are now on 80 days later, 34 emails later with nothing. Please do not book your holiday through this Company. Have contacted their associated Company Benz Travel. Benz Travel as far as they are concerned have no dealings with them? Contacted Travel Zoo, where the Sri Lanka deal was advertised. Nothing from Travel Zoo re help. Had to give a 1 star as that is the minimum you can give. So lets hope my review stops you from making a huge upsetting and financial decision by booking with them.

Our trip originally started with an agent named Richard who was so very accommodating and making a complicated long trip with many cities a very easy process. Thank you Richard. Then covid 19 came and all hell broke loose with any travel plans. We had to cancel as did everyone going to Europe. The next agent to help solve our cancellation was Liam, what a gentleman, so patient and diligent. Over a number of weeks He was always in touch and always very positive that a solution would be forthcoming. And it did to the satisfaction of Citrus travel and ourselves. I will definitely be using them again as soon as we decide on our next travel dates. Thanks again for a good job. Vince Presto

It has been a pleasure working with our agent, Victoria. In spite of these difficult times, she has kept up a timely correspondence with my wife and I and kept us informed of the latest developments. She has organized the same holiday for us on the exact dates, only a year later. So far, our experience with Citrus Holidays has been excellent and we would highly recommend the company to our travelling friends.

Wonderful South India & Kerala Holiday We had a wonderful and well organised holiday. A great itinerary which will remember it all forever. Lovely hotels and delicious food. Very comfortable car and charming driver, We had nearly 17 days in South India & Kerala,visited Bangalore, Mysore,Ooty, Wayanad,Kochi,Boathouse in Alleppey, Poovar beaches and Bird sanctuary The hotels were wonderful and met our expectations with the guides, hotels, boat trips and Beaches, We started our tour from Bangalore International Airport, stayed in Radisson Blu, Grand Mercure,Fortune Sullivan court hotels, experienced the Great History, Culture & Rich Heritage of Bangalore,Mysore and Ooty. we travelled by train from Coonoor to Ooty, The toy train is an experience itself,Its a narrow gauge railways track built in 1908 during the British rule and forms an important part of UNESCO world Heritage Site,The train was clean and so quaint!, I shared my coach with one other British travellers, The train was due to reach Ooty by 18:00 hours,Wonderful trip on this unusual train,The view from Coonoor to Ooty is breaktaking and journeys was quite comfortable with Stunning views of mountains,Tea plantations, comfort stops along the way,monkeys at stations and evidence that elephants had been nearby,The train was due to reach Ooty by 18:00 Hours, Wonderful trip on this unusual train, The view from Coonoor to Ooty is breath taking and the journey was quite comfortable with Stunning views of mountains, Tea plantations, 'comfort' stops along the way, monkeys at the stations and evidence that elephants had been near by. Would love to do this trip again The highlight of the tour was Wayanad Wild Jungle lodge, Stunning, breathtaking, and beautiful. We had the most amazing experience at this fantastic resort... hidden away nestled amongst the mountains of the Western Ghats, clean, pristine, and hypnotising!! Nightly tracks around the resort grounds to seek out the wildlife was fantastic! I loved it! Afternoon relaxation at the infinity pool while monkeys are swinging in the trees above your head is unreal. We had a late evening stroll with a lovely guide who showed us the night life from the wild side.. with an array of frogs, snakes, and roosting migrating birds sleeping in the trees, we were then up and awake early for another early morning hike to encounter some more wild life the next morning before coming back to our lovely breakfast. We then traveled to Kochi, although the hotel was pleasant and the facilities of the pool etc Overnight stay in the houseboat Alleppey was another highlight of the trip Finally our last four hour journey further south to our last stop before home, staying at the beautiful resort of Isola di Cocco! Stunning!! Our heritage room was fabulous, having our own porch to sit out and admire the beautiful surroundings, the stunning flowers, and the birds it was such an amazing experience... we had an outside bathroom and toilet which was very unusual, but it was fine and quite pleasant thank you Citrus Holidays for our fabulous holiday and thank you Abhilash our private chauffeur & Guide for driving us around your beautiful Country

I have read with interest the abysmal reviews below. For my part, I understand the issues, what I do not understand is ignoring correspondence and escalating a simple issue to a major one, requiring me to chase my money via ATOL, Charge Back, and the County Courts. Their attitude to customer service has proved to be the breaking point, I will not be using again. Their ignorance beggars belief. In reply to their answer THE WHOLE ISSUE IS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES DO NOT RESPOND - read my comments AGAIN, I understand the issues - YOU clearly do NOT
