I feel that I must warn people not to use this company. I booked a holiday to Turkey before the pandemic became rampant. 4 days before we were due to travel, Turkey was added to the UK 'essential travel only' list. I spoke to Citrus Holidays about the current situation and asked what our options were. I was told that, as far as they were concerned, the holiday was still going ahead, even though more reputable travel companies had decided to cancel and provide refunds. The only option they gave me was to pay a third of the cost of the holiday again to move it to September 2021. I decided that this was probably still worth it and called them a couple of hours later to arrange. I was then told that the price had doubled to 2 thirds the cost of the holiday, to reschedule. At best this seems like very sharp practice from a company that only cares in taking your money. At worst, it is a scam. I cannot stress enough DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Booked a holiday with citrus travel that was cancelled due to COVID. At first, they tried to give percentages of our payment back, but we refused as we felt that we were entitled to a full refund for the money we paid to them. I then claimed the money back through my bank, only to be informed that citrus travel contested the refund, stating that they were entitled to keep ALL our money as the COVID situation was a force majeure!!! The case went to arbitration in the end.... and we got our money back via the bank ..... Dreadful, dishonest people. Stay away!

We booked 4 days trip to Vienna and Bratislava last year to go in March this year but because of pandemic restrictions we were unable to go. When we asked for refunds they advised that payment will only be in part which we accepted but since then we are waiting for 6 months for our refund to come. When we contact them by e mail/phone we only get reassurance that it is in process. Hope this review may help us to get back our money

Won't ever book with this company again. Despite the claim 'They went the extra mile'... the fact is they only made an effort to help once they knew I was not going to pay the balance as they had done nothing up until then to confirm the accommodation needed. Certainly it was not enough to give me any confidence that they would deliver on the promise once we arrived in resort. Useless!

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Transfers we're excellent and prompt. Food was exceptional. One issue was the courtesy bus that only ran twice a day and the return taxi fare was extremely expensive.

our Holiday for a party of 10 was cancelled due to the pandemic. Citrus were very good with their communication during the whole process of refund. Will definitely book with them again.

Full refund was received within the promised timescale. This would have been the third holiday booked with Citrus and received excellent service on both previous occasions.

Great customer service, made some changes to the room booking no problem and called back to confirm 20 minutes later. Syra who handled the call was very professional and pleasant too.

Great and attentive service! The booking was fast. Reassured us if anything goes wrong abroad due to current COVID-19 situation their main priority will be to get us back.

Like many, our holiday - booked in February through Citrus Holidays - never happened thanks to Coronavirus. I was quite worried about the prospects of getting a refund, based on many other reviews. But to Citrus Holiday's credit, they kept their promise. We were told we would get refunded in mid to late September, and the full amount came through a few weeks early. So far, they have done everything necessary for me to consider using them again.

We wanted to see if an apparently great deal for a short break in the Algarve would suit us in early October. The agent was extremely friendly and helpful and answered all our questions patiently! We explored a few additional bits and pieces and added those e.g. an extra night. The agent then found us an earlier flight out of Bristol which meant we gained almost a full day for £29 each. Very happy with our holiday deal and the way it was set up.

We had a week's holiday booked back in April which was cancelled by Citrus Holidays due to Covid-19. At the time it was clearly explained to us that if we were to ask for a refund (minus a significant admin fee) at that point it would take time to process due to the challenging situation. We opted to accept a refund voucher with a view to seeking the full refund in late August should we decide to not to re-book our trip in the near future. We then contacted Citrus Holidays on 14th August asking for a full refund as we felt things were too unsettled. Again we were advised that it could take time but we've been delighted that two weeks later we received all of our money back. Several members of staff have dealt with us when we've contacted them to ask further questions, and they have always treated us with courtesy & efficiency. They have followed up these calls with appropriate emails or phone calls and given clear explanations of the current situation, and sent the relevant vouchers & information quickly. Like all holiday companies they have clearly been under a great deal of strain over the last 5 months but the staff have done their very best to support us during a very difficult time. Thank you! We fully plan to return to Citrus Holidays to book a holiday next year, or when travel abroad is likely to be more settled.

Help!I have paid 60% for 3 centre (Thailand, Vietnam,Cambodia)holiday with Citrus Holidays for travel this November.The final balance is due in a couple of days and Citrus are putting on pressure to pay.I have indicated that I’m not happy to travel now due to Covid and was advised even if I don’t travel I’ll have to pay them £500.However I feel that Citrus will avoid cancellation by saying that airlines are traveling into Thailand in November and thus will avoid paying a refund.What should I do?.
