United Kingdom | 07 February 2025Lily is very patient, supportive and informative. You can get the same hearing aids cheaper elsewhere but it is not like buying spectacles. You really need advice and support. Also the aids may need adjusting to your specific requirements, which might change over time.

United Kingdom | 06 February 2025I got a phone call inviting me to have my hearing aids to be serviced. When I arrived I was seen by the audiologist. I told him I don’t know why I’m here, I thought my hearing aids would be serviced. He checked my hearing, a little change. Then I was told about new Oticon hearing aids. Price went from £6k down to 4k. I have had my hearing aids for three years, told they last 5/10 years. I was also told they could be adjusted as my hearing changed, however now I am told they can only increase the volume which would distort the sound. The reason for my appointment was now obvious. My product still works perfectly well. I really don’t like this type of sales technique. I paid £5.5k for these. I am now told I paid 20% for aftercare! I wasn’t told this at the time. If they had told me there was a new product out when they invented me in I would not have agreed to the appointment. I have recommended this company to many people in different locations. No one has ever paid the same price, it seems it’s get what you can”double glazing windows technique”. The sales pitch about links to dementia and hearing makes me think this industry needs regulating. If this is so there are many people who need this product who, no way can afford £4/5k. I know these people are skilled, but the mark up on these products, in my opinion needs looking into. Everyone should be able to access this product at a reasonable cost. That said the people are really helpful. Large companies set sales targets and incentives for staff. One last thing. Publicise a price list!
