United States | 31 October 2024I have been trying to set up a simple messaging system for a photo booth at a wedding for almost a week. The website is confusing and complicated, and if you follow the tutorials, you don't get the results you pay for. They won't let you talk to a person to help fix your issues unless you are willing to shell out a couple grand. They might work fine for massive corporations and call centers but for the little guys like me who just need it for a one-time thing and don't have a business, it is practically impossible to get anything done. Also, their verification is a load of malarky. You type one wrong thing and your account gets locked until they can take their sweet time to read an email that you have to send explaining exactly what your intentions are to the letter. They want everything to be a business but I don't have one and they don't even have a section where you can explain that. I am so tired but I am so nervous about getting this set up in time that I can't sleep and I can't keep anything down. I have been fighting with this for five days and I only have 24 hours to figure this out before the dead line. I just don't know what to do anymore.

Malaysia | 31 October 2024absolute trash product, after a long and complicated verification, they tell you that you need to deposit at least 20USD to complete the verification. Why does this trash product still exist?

United Kingdom | 28 October 2024I set up a twilio account and then set up call forwarding from one of the numbers to my mobile. I then instantly proceeded to receive loads of digital calls from numbers in the same region. This ran up my twilio bill. At first they claimed the calls hadn't happened, then when I provided screenshots of call logs and my mobile phone receiving the calls (some of which woke me up in the early hours of the morning) they admitted they had happened but claimed it was nothing to do with them. But why else would anyone repeatedly call a number which had only just been set up or even know about the number? This looks pretty bad for Twilio, IMO they're running up customer charges with bogus calls. I suggest anyone using them closely monitors all calls to ensure similar scamming isn't going on with their call credit.

United Kingdom | 18 October 2024I recognise a scam when I get one. The lovely thing about this call, was when I politely pointed out that this was indeed a scam, the "agent" (scam artist) called me a b1tch. Disgusting company.

United Kingdom | 17 October 2024Although not a Twilio customer, I do have experience of how they operate - of the 38 scam calls received on my landline last month, 36 were from numbers 'managed' by Twilio Ireland, and that's about the usual percentage of scam calls I get each month, through the year. Apparently they are either unable to prevent, or happy to allow, this to carry on forever. Neither makes me likely to trust Twilio over anything at all.

United States | 17 October 2024Horrible company, mining data, asking for personal information and even trying to get your email account. Horrible fraud and attention service. I can't believe it is still running.

United Kingdom | 08 October 2024VERY UNCLEAR I just wanted to buy a number and port, Turns out you cant port like a traditional number and it will always remain with Twilio, so this IS NOT porting and simply setting up to work with 3rd party software. Its no issue paying just please be clear. Also you will have to top up min 20 dollars a time.

United States | 05 October 2024The worst UI on the planet. It's been this way for years and they simply don't care.

Australia | 01 October 2024this is such a complicated and confusing process just to send SMS messages through API. its not easy to set up, there is no help and support unless you pay hundreds every month. cheapest to speak to someone is $250! how companies sell a product, make it difficult to use and confusing as hell. just give us step by step rather than some dude band on about him and his kids.

United Kingdom | 30 September 2024Received 15 phone calls from Twillio Ireland over the past 14 days from telephone numbers apparently based in Huddersfield, Bradford, London, Edinburgh, Doncaster, Blackburn. We are not customers and never will be - but these guys need to be stopped as they are serial telephone scammers!

Serbia | 27 September 2024It is not possible even to sign up in the service, account is blocked immediately without any reason. Support is not reachable. I couldn't even log in once...

United Kingdom | 27 September 2024Wow - don't think I've ever seen so many 1 star reviews! Their customer service is shockingly bad and they think it's fine to add random extra charges without explanation. Disappointing to see this in an age where tech and AI are supposed to be making things easier...
