Went online and found the number I was called from (0131 381 6988) is operated by these cowboys. Apparently it is some sort of energy scam, although I was not actually spoken to so am unable to confiorm this with certainty. But it is obviously some sort of scam because this type of telephone contact is becoming very common.

Switzerland | 13 September 2024Absolute disaster. We are using Twilio for many many years, we had 1 Toll free number for Uganda. On 28th of August Twilio informed us that they will dispose our number and removed it from the system. They gave us just 2 days to migrate, providing no path in getting this number back. This company became a monster after going public.. time to quit and find another one. You must be ashamed of you Twilio.

United Kingdom | 06 September 2024These scam artists tried calling me about my life insurance policy. They were able to tell me my current provider and the expiration date of my policy. Where they slipped up.... I'm a Sales Director in the financial sector and one of my OWN independent finance officers from MY OWN company was able to broke the market and sell me my policy. So when this insurance company told me "when you signed up, you agreed to share your personal data and allow other companies to contact you with better deals". This is untrue, they have breached GDPR and got my data ILLEGALLY because I didn't share my details. And I am now going to go to great lengths to ensure this fraudulent company is held accountable by the FCA, the financial ombudsman and ensure any underwriters or MGAs supporting this company are aware of their breaches of regulations.

United States | 29 August 2024Twilio’s customer support is beyond frustrating. They’re great at winning your business, but once you need assistance, it’s a different story. We’ve had an open ticket since July 24th, and despite multiple follow-ups, we’ve gotten little to no response. Days—even weeks—go by without any communication from their team. This lack of support has caused significant disruptions to our operations and negatively affected our customers. If you’re looking for reliable customer service, I’d strongly recommend considering other options. The repeated failure to follow up is unacceptable.

They are so horrible in all levels. 1) I had an account for our internal Inbox messages with them for 4 years and it was free account. All of a sudden when we wanted to use SMS and pay for SMS they started SAVAGELY charging us. 2) now we created an account for SMS and Whatsapp, they even don't allow you to send them a support ticket even though to set up they are asking me to contact support for an error the system is throwin for my submission. I have to buy a bloody plan to be able to get support before even getting started. Horrible corporation, bad leadership, bad mentality, messed up management in all leveles. if you have any shares in this messed-up sell it

No way to cancel or pause account and they simply charge you and keep your money. No way to speak to accounting or management. Horrible dashboard, horrible lack of customer service.

In my years of working with and within various support teams, I have never encountered such an appalling lack of responsiveness, competence, and basic courtesy. The response times are abysmal, the information provided is either useless or comes way after you need it, and the overall support experience is nothing short of a nightmare. If you’re looking for help, guidance, or even just a timely reply, look elsewhere. This is the epitome of what customer service should not be. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this company at all costs.

United States | 15 August 2024Other than customer service everything else was just awful. Spent money on service almost one month ago and haven't been able to use it. Literately needed this for my business and nothing. Just a waste of time. Went with Telnyx which has been a god send.
