Well. I’m so impressed with my butchers block. I’ve a rather large kitchen area but not much storage so wanted to purchase to have more storage space in addition to food prep area. Adam has been so attentive, responsive and delivered within the agreed timeframe. I’ve an awkward entrance to my property so required a bit more attention but Adam did it with a smile. If I ever need more bespoke furniture I’d definitely use Captain Craftswork again, I’ve been so impressed. Cupboards are nice and sturdy which is great as I’ve already filled it.

Very happy with our new butcher's block. The craftmanship on it is fantastic and it's a beautiful piece of furniture. Delivered on time and very professionally with full instructions provided on how to maintain the piece, we even got a small pot of paint to touch up any dinks it receives. Very happy with this and highly recommend this company. We've had absolutely none of the issues the negative reviews alude to.

I ordered a Corsair Butchers Block I was kept it contact at every point was delivered today and it’s fantastic well worth the money and the craftsman ship is fantastic also got some touch up paint and oil to oils the today thanks you again 5*

We have had an excellent experience with Captain's Craftworks from start to finish. Adam was very responsive and helpful in helping us decide what we wanted, both in the design of the island and, in particular, helping us choose the colour. The lead time was shorter than we were expecting, which was a nice surprise, and it was nice to meet Adam when he delivered it personally. We have been really impressed by the quality of the island, which came with worktop oil for the butcher's block, even a cloth for applying it, and instructions for preparing and caring for the block itself. It has quickly become a centrepiece of the kitchen. Adam was also very helpful and responsive in supplying us with matching paint and fittings so that we could renovate another kitchen cupboard to match. I would have no hesitation in recommending Captain's Craftworks and would definitely buy from them again.

I am so pleased with my island. I had an extension added to the back and the side so I could use it as a breakfast bar, wow, it is so perfect! The colour matched to my kitchen so well, it looks like it was meant to be there! The craftsmanship is second to none, absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Adam and team 😊

I recently ordered bedroom furniture for a double and twin bedroom property owned by my parents. Before doing so I checked out the reviews here. Quite honestly, they did give me pause to reflect before proceeding. I placed the order because all the positive reviews say that the quality of the furniture supplied is very high but that there can be issues around communication and delivery dates. In fact my experience on all three counts has been exceptionally positive. The quality of the furniture is outstanding. Now that my order has been supplied I can safely say that I wonder if it is priced too low for what it is! Before ordering I researched thoroughly what is available and found nothing comparable for the money charged. Most of my communication with Adam was by email and some by telephone. He did not always reply instantly (I wouldn’t expect that from someone whose job and primary skill is as a carpenter and not someone who is office-based) but he always replied within a reasonable time and offered good advice always providing the information asked for. Seeing what had been written by others about delivery dates I built extra lead in time for delivery beyond that stipulated by him. In fact, that was not necessary as he delivered to the schedule that he stated. At the end of the day I spent my money with a small business which supplied me with an excellent quality of furniture at a really reasonable price. I could have paid more to one of the “big boys”. Sure, they might have paid someone else to answer the phone to me but I am not sure that they would necessarily have given me the information that I needed and would probably only have answered my call after listening to The Four Seasons cut into messages about how important my call was to them. Who needs that? I could not be happier with the furniture that Adam produced. It is genuinely bespoke and matches exactly what was promised. If your priority is a high quality of craftsmanship then I suggest you price in anything about communication and delivery and use this company.

Excellent product well made and lovely to look at. Adam could not be more helpfull all went to plan and delivery man could not have been more helpfull.. All and all satisfied with everything.

I had my kitchen island custom made to my own requirements. I chose to have a much larger island than the sizes offered. Adam has been responsive to my calls and emails, and has met and exceeded all my expectations. Due to the size of the island it required interior doors to be removed for access, in which Adam assisted with, without hesitation. I am really pleased and would definitely recommend Adam and his team at captain craftworks. 5*

Purchased a Port Royal table which was delivered personally by Adam in order to meet the required timescale. The quality of the table is excellent and we are totally satisfied with it. We bought this table to use in our kitchen as a help for my wife who is disabled. It has allowed her to cook and bake as it is heavy enough to allow her to move around using the table as a support. We are extremely pleased with the mobile kitchen island.... it was delivered at the time promised and was helped to lift into the house ... after 50 years without an island in the kitchen here, we are so pleased with its quality.

I ordered a Butchers Block and it arrived today. It is excellent and of the highest quality. I ordered it back in November but they are made to order and well worth the wait. I have seen the negative reviews about the wait but really? If you want quality and bespoke be prepared to wait. Also the delivery company were excellent in keeping me up to date. The first delivery date had to be rescheduled due to the weekend of the storms but they were happy to accommodate my availability and delivered on a Sunday and they won't get back home until midnight. Well done Adam for your workmanship and well done to Rykneld Logistics Team for keeping me updated and being so cheerful after what must be a very long day.

I have had an island on order since 10 Jan 2022 and it's now 4 March. No communication on expected delivery times, despite a lot of chasing and a false promise of a call to give a delivery date. So around £750 lighter a broken contract and no kitchen island. Please read this together with other reviews and do not ace an order with this business. It has been my worst experience of ordering on line , and I do order a lot. We are considering our next steps. Very stressful.

Absolutely ridiculous lack of any decent communications. As many people on google reviews have also found, this man makes false and misleading promises. I wish I had read them before dealing with him. He insists on 100% of the purchase price upfront and then you’re stuck. In all my communications with him, I ordered ‘butchers blocks. I paid £550 each. After delay after delay (even downright lies) the units arrived. Omg. The wood on the top is softwood, full of knots and gaps (absolutely no way can they be used to prep food on) and they look like they’ve been made out of old pallets by a 5 year old. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
