I received my Butchers Block Kitchen Island yesterday and I’m absolutely delighted with it. The quality is beautiful and the workmanship is wonderful. It matches my existing kitchen perfectly and is a gorgeous feature. The customer service was super . Adam was both friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend .

Just had 3 kitchen islands delivered to our bakery by Adam, to say we are over the moon is an understatement, they are extremely well made and look beautiful in our bakery. They are being used as counters to put cabinets on. We would highly recommend captains to anyone😁😁😁

Poor quality product and company impossible to contact

Absolutely delighted with the butcher’s block. It is a beautifully made, sturdy piece of furniture that is well finished and painted in the exact colour of my choice. We waited a while for it but it was well worth it. Don’t worry if Adam doesn’t respond to emails. He’s too busy making class pieces of furniture. Have no doubt he’ll be on the case and will delight you with the result.

I purchased a Kitchen Island - Butcher's Block style, and I am very pleased with the result. Adam, who I believe owns the company delivered the island himself all the way from Nottinghamshire to Norwich at no cost to us. It is very well made, fits the kitchen perfectly and the paint and handles match our exiting kitchen units. We are delighted with this product and wold highly recommend this company.

The best things in life are worth waiting for. The craftsman himself delivered our beautiful kitchen island yesterday and I am so happy with it. It is exactly what we wanted, a well made piece of furniture that can age with us. Not something that will ever need to be replaced. I wouldn't hesitate to buy furniture from Adam again, in the future.

The Tortuga rustic wooden shelf is very well made and looks great. It took a while to be receive an acknowledgement as I had paid up front for this item. I spoke to a representative who explained they were having some admin issues. It took several weeks for the shelf to arrive, but my calls were always responded too. Would have been perfect but for the delay in delivery.

Captains Craftworks was a perfect choice for us. I had measured my kitchen wrongly and therefore ordered the wrong size of butcher's block from Adam at Captains Craftworks. Once I contacted him he instantly offered to modify my block for free and all while I waited. The end result is exceptional. In summary, this is a very friendly approachable business with great products and customer service. Highly recommended.

Beautifully made kitchen island. The colour was exactly right, the wheels are smooth running and lock...and the butchers block is deep. They even supplied spare touch up paint for future mishaps and the oil and cloth to treat the block. It is exactly as I wanted. The communications was a little slow and product a bit late but it was so worth waiting for.

I am very pleased with the larder cupboard. It seems solid and sturdy and looks beautiful. I think it is a very well made solid cupboard for the price - excellent value for money- thanks to all at Capt Craftworks. It took a long time to arrive but I could get to talk to Andy (I think it was?) who kept me updated.

I ordered a kitchen island / butchers block end of September (finding him through Etsy then ordering via his website direct) and the Captain personally delivered the item Dec 19th. The island is absolutely stunning, impressive and the craftsmanship and joinery is faultless. It has completed the kitchen and I'm really really happy with the item plus the large cutting board. I was a bit worried regarding the ambiguous/unknown lead time other than what I read on the website. Once it got to the 6 week point with a couple delivery date proposals that came and went I did start to wonder. I did read some of the negative reviews which did feel familiar to what I was worried about but when I did speak to Adam on the phone my instincts told me otherwise. Adam is truly overwhelmed with a lot of orders, the UK mail strikes are a disaster (which I've experienced on other things) among other failing services in this country so he has to deliver himself.... ....don't be dismayed if you don't hear from him....he will deliver, is true to his word and you won't be disappointed at all. What he crafts beats the generic mass produced stuff you find at John Lewis, Neptune, Cotswold Co and wherever else high street via China. And you're supporting a family business that has be running through the generations!

The kitchen island we purchased is beautifully crafted. It is stunning and will last a lifetime (probably many). We were informed up front at the time of purchase how long it would take and it was delivered within that time. It was well worth the wait.
